I just want to throw rocks!!!

Sunday was a gorgeous day, so we headed out to Archer to play outside! As Riley says, "I just want to throw rocks!" We went to down to the pond and threw rocks!

Toby Keith had a good time too!

Sweet Millie even went for a swim!

skipping rocks is fun too!

Riley made a mud pie

This girl is a craaaaaazy driver!

When a good song comes on, you just have to get out of the car and boogie!

Titi and Riley danced and jumped!

Ice cream (aka Papa's plan backfires!)

Sneaky sneaky Papa!
He always seems to buy the kinds of ice cream that no one likes but him- the kind with lots of nuts, marshmallow swirl, etc. Well, tonight his plan blew up in his face because he bought Blue Bell Mint Chocolate Chip! Little did he know that Riley and I love that stuff! Yum, yum!

He takes my breath away

Well, Nana has been trucking along with her chemo and doing great! We got a text from her the other night and it looks like the inevitable has happened:
I was so so proud of her when I saw this picture. She took control and shaved her head instead of just letting her hair fall out. What a great attitude! And how beautiful is she?!?!!

I know it was hard for Frank to process but I was shocked when he told me he was going to shave his head in support of her. I honestly didn't really believe him...until he texted me this pic from the barber shop:

He kept it a secret from her until we went out to her house to visit. What a priceless moment!

This season is tough (understatement of the century, I know) but I am so blown away by
the goodness of God.
The trust in Him.
The joy despite the fear.
The love of family.

I fell in love with Frank all over again.

Father's Day 2013

What a great day. My husband is an amazing father. He is loving, caring, and strong. He leads our family. He prays over us every morning before we leave the house. He always shows our children love. Thank you Frank for being everything God has called you to be for our family.

oh, yea he is crazy silly too!

How on earth did she get this big???

Sunday naps are the best

you can always tell Riley has had a good nap by her hair :)

Happy birthday, Henry!

We were so so excited to be invited to celebrate Henry's birthday at Medieval Times! Ivey and I made a roadtrip of it and we had a blast! These boys have the sweetest friendship!

Shad bought swords and shields for the boys right away and they were just a little excited.

I was a little worried that Ivey wouldn't eat well. The whole dinner is full of things he would normally avoid: tomato soup, baked chicken, ribs, grilled potato wedges, and apple pie. That boy chowed down on everything and loved eating with his hands.

Our knigth, the Black and White Knight, won the tournament! It was so awesome to cheer for the winning knight!

All the kids got to pose with the king

Sweet boys

Last day of 4k?!?!?!?!

wow. a whole year has flown by already. Ivey has grown so much this year in Mrs. Child's class. She brought out the best in him and we feel so blessed to have had her as a teacher. She was always loving, firm, funny and patient with our son. Through his ups and downs with behavior she always showed him love and let him know that she believed in him. I am so proud of the boy my son is today. He has loved 4K so much!

Green Superstar

Look at the pride on his face! Every day at school, our goal is to "be a superstar". The last few weeks have been bit of a challenge for Ivey and Mrs. Childs. We have been working so hard on his behavior. If the kids are good at school, they get a yellow superstar for the day. If they are REEEEEAAAAAALLLLLLYYYYY good at school, they are given a green superstar. Ivey has never gotten one of these lol. Well, he woke up on this day and told me, "Mommy, I had a dream last night that I got a green super star at school!" He was so excited about it. He told Mrs. Childs about it and she was so encouraging and challenged him to get one that day. She even sent me this picture of him at school absolutely beaming with pride.
Way to go, buddy! We are so proud of you!
