Archer Christmas

We couldn't believe that it snowed again on Christmas! It was a pretty nasty storm but that didn't stop us from heading out to Archer! I was a nervous wreck the whole time because this was our view out the front of the car:

The kids weren't too concerned about it though:

After a LOOOOOOONG drive, we finally got there and we were greeted with a Christmas explosion!

This is the only picture I got of the present-unwrapping craziness. Seriously. Too crazy to even stop and take a picture.

Ivey was begging us to go out and play in the snow. My wonderful husband was sweet enough to take him out to play. I watched from the warmth of the house!

Snow Angels!!

I guess the cold snow must REEEEEAAAALLLY make you need to pee :)

the girls were smart and stayed inside!!!

Christmas Day

I love Christmas morning. I think it is my very favorite part of Christmas. Frank cooked us a big breakfast, we drank coffee and hot chocolate and relaxed in our pj's. Santa was good to the kids this year- they got bikes! Ivey wanted a Spiderman bike and Riley wanted a princess one- shocker, I know.

I was pretty darn proud of my shopping skills. Ivey asked for "a remote-control Spiderman that climbs up walls". I honestly thought he was making it up til I found one! Woohoo! It actually works too! (He also got a karate headband ninja thing that he loves.)

Riley got a Little People Princess castle. She loves it!

Next stop...Archer Christmas!

Christmas Eve (AKA Riley's dress up show)

Christmas Eve was so fun! We went to church and then Pops and Nana came over for Schmidt family Christmas and some DELICIOUS food (thanks, Nana!) complete with ice box pudding for dessert.
The hit gift of the night was Riley's trunk full of dress-up princess clothes. She had a blast prancing around in her heels, jewelry and princess outfits!
We are so excited about one of the gifts we received: Nana and Pops are taking the whole family to a getaway at the Exotic Animal Resort in Johnson City in May! It is going to be a blast!

She's a natural in heels!

Ice box pudding. Yum yum!!!

Big Family Christmas

Our big family Christmas get-together was so much fun this year and it's all thanks to Sherry Bell for putting some hilarious games together for us! She put a bunch of holiday-themed words on stickers and stuck them on our backs. Then we had to go around and ask other people yes/no questions to figure out what we were.
I think the funniest game had to be this one. We divided into four teams and each team was given a bag. Then we had to decorate one person from each team. Hilarious!!!! Tosha you were such a great sport! And Pops you looked FABULOUS.

The next game was fun too. Each person had to put on oven mitt and try to open a present. It kept going and going until lucky Johnboy got to his turn. He opened the final present.....and the prize was the oven mitts lol! He was thrilled. not.

Look at these awesome reindeer! Each team had to blow up balloons and stuff them in panty hose. Then these lucky guys got to put them on their heads. Papa you rocked it!

Then the kids got to open their gifts. Riley made a new friend. She and KauKaus bonded when he played with her new purse with her :)

Riley Beth even got a Rapunzel wig!

Everyone got a kick out of that wig.

Good good times with the family! That's what Christmas is all about. Love you all!!!

Family Pictures

My sweet friend Judy took some pictures for us before Christmas. I just love how they turned out!
