And the birthday festivities are still going....Today Papa and Grandma Jensen came up to have a birthday dinner with us. Lauren got to enjoy the spotlight one more time as we all sang to her, AGAIN, and had more birthday cake! She was lovin' it!

As part of Lauren's birthday festivities, I brought cupcakes to her preschool yesterday. All the kids sang to her which she totally LOVED! However, she kept telling me that she hoped they would jump out and yell "SURPRISE!" But I had to explain that it wasn't one of those kinds of parties! She still had a great time sharing cupcakes with all her new friends.




These are her teachers, Ms. Maria and Ms. Jennifer. She loves them both!

Today is our little Lauren's 4th Birthday! She woke up this morning with a HUGE smile on her face. She is excited to be 4, to be able to go to school, and just to feel a little bit more grown up! We love her so much and feel greatly blessed to have her in our family. She brings us so much joy, laughter, and fun.

Lauren and Sammie had fun playing dress up today. They also had fun coming up with fun faces to make at the camera. Such divas!!

Today was Lauren's first day of Preschool and boy was she excited! The family joke is that she went in there and was telling everyone where they should sit! Although, that is not true, she does love to be in charge! We are excited for all the fun new things she is going learn.



Today when Lauren got home from school, she was so excited to see some visitors - Uncle Keith and Natasha (a.k.a Retasha or Matasha as Lauren calls her!). They came all the way from the Big "D" for a visit. It was fun to spend the afternoon hanging out with them. We were sad their trip was cut short because of Fay, but we were glad for the time we got. Come back soon!!

Tonight we had an early birthday party for the 2 August Tait babies, Lauren and Jeff. We had fun hanging out at Kylene and Greg's pool. We had Grandma Tait's famous "Hot Buns" and some yummy corn on the cob. Lauren and Jeff both got to blow out their candles, although Jeff's was a little bit more dramatic!! Happy Birthday Lauren and Jeff!

So we got up bright and early this morning to hit Highline Lake with the Q's. It was a little chilly but lots of fun.

Sorry Gary there are no pictures of you. For all those wondering though he did a great job skiing too!

As part of our trek out to Utah this Summer we made a pit stop in our old stomping grounds of Fruita, CO to see our best friends the Quarnbergs. Our kids had so much fun playing together and we had a great time remembering old times and creating some fun new memories. The trip was far too short but we'll be back!! Thanks Q's for being such great friends. We love you guys!

Today we went to "This is the place" Monument in Salt Lake City. The kids had fun exploring around the "town." The loved riding the train and the horses. Thanks Grandma Tait for a fun outing!

Today we went and hiked to Bloomington Lake. It was beautiful. It's a glacier lake in the mountains. There we found a rope swing that the boys just couldn't resist trying. Even Lauren wanted to do it, but let's just say her dad chickened out on her doing it with him. Maybe next year.
