ALL ABOARD THE CHOO-CHO TRAIN....

The kids have been begging me to take them on this train that we see at our Target. I, of course, never want to take the time to do it and have always told them we would do it with dad (mean old mom)!! At our Easter party, my friend Kim was saying something about taking her son on this exact train. So, we set a date and today was the day. The kids were SUPER excited!! They have already asked when they can ride again....sheesh!

EASTER SUNDAY

Due to a very hectic Sunday with church and traveling to be with family, we failed to get any pictures of the kids in their cute Easter outfits. Those pictures will have to be taken and posted later this week! But we did get some fun shots of the kids on our walk today. They both got scooters and are enjoying learning how to ride them.

These pictures were taken at our 2nd Annual Friends Easter Party...unfortunately, it is difficult to take pictures of the party when you are the hostess/chief game leader/photographer/mom/friend....so all I captured was Gavin stealing someone else's eggs from their basket!! Despite the lack of pictures, we had a great party with about 50 of our friends. We had a huge Easter egg hunt, played some wild games with fabulous prizes, flew kites and ate good food until we could eat no more! We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends.

BUSTED.........

EASTER IN THE PARK

Today the park next to our house hosted a huge Easter egg hunt for the kids. The soccer field was covered with eggs. The kids could have as many eggs as they could take. They had a blast!

SPRING BREAK - The Pool

Lauren and Gavin could spend hours swimming. Thank goodness we have a pool. And that is exactly what we did today. They loved every minute of it. Lauren is still in her "Super Girl" mode - hence all the pictures she wanted taken were of her jumping and flying. Gavin was just cheesing it up for me. He loves for me to take his picture so he can them come and look at it. (Thank you digital camera!!) We enjoyed a great Spring Break and hope you did too!

SPRING BREAK - Grandma's House

For the past couple of days, we have been and Papa and Grandma Jensen's house. The kids have had so much fun running around outside and being spoiled!!
Probably the greatest thing to come out of our quick visit was a beautiful pink cape. Why you might ask? Well, a couple of weeks ago Lauren's dad decided to let her watch the movie Superman. Little did we know, it would become an obsession! It's all she talks about. It's all she thinks about. Superman this, super powers that. It has actually proved to be a good learning tool for me to her about her own "super powers" and how she has to make good choices. She gets it, which is great!
Anyway, Grandma whipped up this hot pink cape for her, and oh my goodness, is Lauren in love! She cruised the neighborhood in search of those in need of her help. She ran around the house "flying". She has had more fun with this cape than we ever imagined. Thanks Grandma!
