Early this morning, while my family slept, I spontaneously jumped in the pool for a swim. It was great! I cannot tell you the last time I swam, usually I'm hanging onto Millipede, swoooshing him around in the water. But this time I had free hands to do with as I pleased.

After a few laps and a bit of a float, the excitement of the "me-time" got the better of me and I started to muck about. I won't be confessing to the embarrassing details, but basically I got a bit too gleeful and silly and, well, completely carried away... and I crashed!!!

Now I'm sporting a busted top lip:

1. Half my lip has swollen huge, like I've chickened out of one of those Hollywood pouty duck-mouth jobs, after only one shot of the silicon.

2. I have a cut which looks like a giant cold sore.

3. And a bruise which will be mistaken all week for a hefty moustache.


Whoooot-wooo, pretty.



(Despite the disfigurement, I still had a great morning.)
