She's 10...

On November 1st 2000 I gave birth to our sweet Mattee Lynn. She has grown up so fast. I would say out of all my girls Mattee is the most independent child. She is very intelligent, smart, tough, hard headed, sweet, loving 10 year old I know. She loves school and friends. She has friends calling her all the time. She loves to try new things and loves to be challenged. For her birthday she wanted Harry Potter Lego's. She started on them and would not ask for any help. She has the directions on her lap putting each piece together (300 pieces). She wants to do it on her own. She is like this in a lot of ways. Her independence has matured her and has broadened her way of thinking. She is a very bright and loving young girl. She loves to cuddle, laugh, draw, paint her nails, ride her scooter, help cook, read, make others happy and most of all loves being a big sister. Avree and Hadlee will go to her bedroom door and knock wanting her to come hold or play with them. Mattee has just the right touch to put our little angels to sleep. She collects erasers (just as I did when I was little) and has close to 100 of them. She loves to start new collections. She has collected anything from bracelets, erasers, pet shop, lip gloss down to rubber bands. She reminds me so much of myself when I was growing up. She has her mind set and when it doesn't go the way she wants she will argue or change things so that it does. I can see her being a powerful women as she gets older and starts working and raising a family of her own. I love our Mattee mavis with all my heart and we are so truly blessed to have her in our lives. She is truly a blessing! I love you baby girl.

Today Jamie and I celebrate our 14th Anniversary. The years have gone by so fast! I have enjoyed these 14 years with my best friend, husband, soul mate and my girls' father. We have grown old together, raised 4 beautiful and healthy daughters, have moved a number of times, survived him working in Wyoming and being away from us, have become stronger through our trials, finish each others sentences, know what each other are thinking without having to say a word, grown stronger spiritually, made family traditions and memories all because of our LOVE and RESPECT for each other. I thank our Lord ever day for such a wonderful man. I look forward to spending all my years of aging with YOU and making every moment and memory count. I love you to eternity and back. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY SPARKY!

Can you beleive our little Hadlee Belle (feels like we just brought this little spirit into the world yesterday) turns 1 tomorrow! Hadlee is a joy to our family. She has the sweetest little personality. Here are some updates on Hadlee over the year that we have watched and enjoyed...

16. Pulls herself up and will stand on her own for a few seconds

19. When we go to feed the ducks but instead of feeding them she eats the bread

I could go on and on about our precious little angel. She is a joy and blessing in our lives. She is full of love, laughter and beuty. She has blessed each and everyone of us. We love you so much Hadlee Belle. Happy Birthday to our baby girl!

Kelsee started 8th grade today at Legacy Junior High in Layton. She was nervous to go to a new school but she prayed about it and felt that it was right. This school is humongous. Looks like a college! It seems like a great school and all her Syracuse friends attend it. Mattee stayed at Woods Cross Elementary and started 4th grade today. I told Jamie that I was glad she had a November birthday because if she didn't she would be going into 5th. I am not ready for her to attend 5th grade yet. Boy how time flies when your having fun. I love my big girls!

It has been a while and my story is that we be been very busy. We have had an enjoyable summer taking care of chickens and watching daddy build their portable coop. Attending birthday party's, camping, parade's, fairs and alot of other fun to do's. Kelsee went to girls camp and had a wonderful and tremendous spiritual time as her testimony grew bigger each day. We sure missed having her gone for a week though. We go to the Bountiful parade every year and the kids loved it. It seems to get longer every year. We were able to visit with our family from CA and AZ. Wished we could have spent more time with them. Went camping in Montpillar, ID at a KOA and went to Raspberry days. Stayed in a two bedroom cabin with the stream right behind us. No injuries or scares until Avree threw Max's ball into the stream and he went after it. As he swam to shore he went through some bushes not knowing that he was going to have a hair cut of his life with medical scissors. The bushes were full of burs. I had to cut every one of them out as he anxiously laid on my lap letting me do so. By the way his ball was never recovered. Poor baby boy! Hadlee had a little stomach bug which was transferred to Avree the day we were coming home. They got over it pretty fast. Darn daycare kids always getting my babies sick. I was worried about our hand full Avree and chasing her everywhere but my four babies were amazing and the best every. The girls ecspecially loved the s'mores. I also enjoyed two of those nummy things. I haven't had chocolate for 42 days now but in results lost 25lbs. Kelsee caught a crawdad and Jamie caught two fish and released. Did lots of swimming, got burned, played uno and our favorite part was sitting around the fire. Enjoyed 2 firework shows, and BBQ's. So that's my story and I'm stikin to it.

Today is my mom's 61st birthday...My mom was a survivor and strong willed who loved her children, grandchildren, and Hevenly Father with all her heart. She amazed us in everyway. I am grateful for the love and motherhood she shared with her grandkids and know that my kids are who they are today because of her. She was an amazing cook and how I miss her pies and cinnamon crust tremendously. She loved the outdoors and spending every minute with her kids and grandkids. I love her and miss her with all my heart. Sending hugs and kisses to you up home. Love you!
