Last year Dan made an awesome pillow in kindergarten. On one side he had all of his friends sign it. On the other side he left very important instructions..

Jacob's pillow
A brownie. For later. Initially I thought it was a piece of poo.
Jacob gets an ouchie!
Jacob and I were at the elementary school the other day when he tripped and fell cutting his eyebrow. I took him to the insta-care where they REFUSED to sew him up and INSISTED I go to a plastic surgeon. We are talking about TWO stitches. I think the guy was just lazy. So the next morning we got up at 6:00 am and trucked on over the plastic surgeon's office. TWO stitches later we get a bill for $1000. Now what is wrong with this picture? I think our system of health care is BROKEN. But I won't open that can of worms this is a family friendly blog.
Do you REALLY think that was worth $1000?
David's box land
So the kids have had a lot of fun with the moving boxes. David built an entire house out of boxes complete with an old king size mattress for the floor.
The boys get a haircut.
In october my friend Leslie and her husband Stafford (along with their cutest kids) came over to have pizza. We decided that Stafford would cut the kids hair. He apparently does this all the time. They each took a turn and then we cleaned up. Dan decide he wanted to play with the clippers (against advice) and gave himself a little "special" do.
Nice work Dan.

Daniel in laundry basket.
I guess he decided he wanted to do a little reading in a laundry basket on the sidewalk. This kid keeps us guessing.
Funny picture found
So my parents have a Canon camera that they have had for about two years. Unfortunately, they are not technologically savvy enough to import the pictures from the camera onto the computer. Therefore, when they came to visit I took it upon myself to import their pictures onto my computer to give them the opportunity to take more pictures on their already loaded (about 350 pictures) camera. I found many pictures of all of the trips they have taken in the past two years. Pictures of Jerusalem, church history, and then I found this picture..
Dad! Seriously?

Visit in october
In early october we had a visit from Tim's parents. It is so fun to have people come out and see us. My parents came too but I don't even remember when and of course I didn't take any pictures. Buggy.
Wait! I found a picture of my parents trip!
My mom must have taken that from the backseat. See I knew they had come. That is my car after all.
By the way here are some other cute pictures from around that time.
David dressed in Harry Potter for Halloween. (three weeks early)
tim and dan are cute hugh?

Quick catch up from October to December
I really do have good intentions. I really do take a lot of pictures with the intent of blogging, but I just am too lazy. Unfortunately, I don't have an excuse today because something very excited happened! CHURCH was CANCELLED.. yes I said CANCELLED. We got an itty bit of snow in Delaware. About 15 inches. I have heard that this is very unusual and only happens every few years. AMAZING! I just hope that school is not cancelled tomorrow because we have been trapped in the house for two days.

One last hurrah! Beach Day
Tim and I decided to take the boys to the beach for one last hurrah before it gets to cold.
Dan was lucky because he had a wetsuit. (thanks to cousin Peter!) I think we might need to make an investment for some skim boards, boogie boards and wetsuits.
Dad helped the boys build Hogwarts. It was destroyed minutes after I took this picture.
It's official: Halloween is coming.
Dan has decided to be a skeleton.
Luckily he needs no costume.
Please don't call social services.. I swear I feed this kid.

Delaware Day for Kids
A week or so ago I took the kids to Wilmington for Delaware day for kids. They had a lot of activities that the kids could do and we also got some drug company freebies. (the headbands for instance.)
They had a rock climbing wall that Dan and David both tried. They got about two feet up.
They also had a trampoline harness thingy. I really wanted to try it but it was only for the kids. Jacob figured out how to do a back flip in 30 seconds!
No joke!
The boys had a lot of fun and I got a little tan so that was nice. Meanwhile, Tim went to the University of Delaware football game. Go Blue Hens. (weird name I know)

Fun sunny delaware day hanging in the park
Today we went to the park by our house.
It was all fun and games for a while..
and then the boys had a monkey war.

My Mantra
Every day I repeat these words and try to calm myself...
(I keep wondering who that little girl is..)
Thank-you to my thoughtful sister in law Madelyn
for providing me with a mantra. I keep it on my fridge.

A new pet? I think not.
We found a new friend in our garage. These little buggers are all over Delaware. I have to be careful when I jog because I've already smashed one. I insisted to the kids that this ugly mugly would be better off living in the wild. So now he lives in our front yard.
The kids were really smitten with him. I wondered if he was a Prince in disguise.

Mental note to self:
do not eat corn on the cob with a loose tooth. corn cut off the cob looks a lot like a lost baby tooth..
can you find the tooth?
I'm pretty sure it was swallowed, but I told Dan that the toothfairy has an uncanny ability of finding teeth in pooh. No worries, he will get his dollar.
