Oh the Bounty!

I have been participating in a community garden and all I can say is WOW!  Things really grow here in Delaware.  The weather has been extremely hot.  (up to 100 today) but the produce is holding its own.  There is something really satisfying about actually pulling out a carrot from the ground versus picking up a plastic bag at the store.  I have also been able to enjoy wild raspberries and blackberries growing just adjacent to the garden.  AMAZING!  I kind of feel like Laura Ingalls (although some would say I am more like Nelly)

Daniel and his inventions,

Dan came up with the idea that he needs a "bluetooth."  I said no, so he made his own.

Daniel and his inventions.

Dan has been really excited since Christmas about his harmonica. His only request: "I want one of those thingies that go around your neck so you don't have to hold it." I guess he got tired of waiting, and made his own.

Jacob the nutritionist

This morning Jacob read to me the nutrition information off the box of Captain Crunch. It included: 12 "gyams" of sugar,   12 "gyams" of salt, and 70 "gyams" of pepper!

Poor Dick

A while ago we took the boys to Dick's sporting goods to look at exercise equipment.  David noticed that the store was called Dick's and he made the comment: "I sure feel bad for that guy."  Why David?  "Because of what they call him." David replied
How did he know that?

Gingerbread House Party 2009

Every year Amy has a gingerbread party before Christmas.  We were lucky enough to be able to go this year.  The kids love it and the grown-ups appreciate the candy.

Fancy night on the cruise

Please can we go back!  Please Please!

Wearing a helmet makes brushing SAFE!

Tim takes the most random pictures and emails them to me from his Iphone.

Jacob the anorexic supehero!

Giant Squid

Delaware had a free day for all museums.  We had to take a picture of the squid in honor of Doc in Utah.
What the heck is Jacob doing?

Scary when the snuggie and mullet meet.

Big fat crazy stingray!

Tim and I had the opportunity of going on a cruise with my parents and siblings.  (sans Ben and Marnie family)  THANKS DAVE!  While in the Cayman Islands we got to hold, kiss and "have a backrub" with the stingrays.  As you can see, it was terrifying.  Anyone heard of Steve Irwin people?

Skiing at Sundance 2009

On Christmas Eve we had the best time skiing with the Darringtons.  I wasn't going to go initially but decided I couldn't pass up the snow.  It was SO fun!  I miss it and wish we could do it more.  David and Dan went to ski school in the morning along with all of Amy's kids and then we all skiied in the afternoon.  It was Danny's first time on skis and by the end of the day he had gotten the technique.  He kept asking for a snowboard.  David has skiied before and he did really well.  We would ride he lift together and then I would see him at the bottom.  He was able to bee line it down going 90 miles an hour.  I takes me a minute to get down the hill.  David has no fear.

Christmas in Utah 2009

Well we have had a very eventful Christmas break this year.  We flew into Salt Lake City on December 22 and now January 10, I am still here.  My time seems to expand.  Tim and the boys left on Tuesday January 5, (my lovely 34th birthday.)  I had a great birthday present and was released from the hospital.  But more of that later.  Right now I need to cover Christmas.  Santa found us in Benjamin and then he found us some more in Salt Lake.  The kids had a grand ole time and it was so great to be together with my three siblings.  I have taken some great pictures of them too.

Lots of Nintendo games and small toys that are easily transportable.
And then of course the mad scientist kit for our budding chemist.

Ben enjoying a little "happy time" with the nerf gun bullets.

My sister letting me know it was time to go home.
