MEANINGLESS RAMBLINGS....

Was having too much free time today.... and i chanced upon the pilot episode of Power Rangers. HAHAHA. LOL man... seriously. I have NO IDEA what possessed me to watch this crap... this show brings cheesiness and tackiness to a WHOLE NEW LEVEL!!

i've probably wasted countless hours of my life watching a show with character names like Rita Repulsa, who throws her magic wand towards Earth and shrieks "Magic wand, MAKE MY MONSTER GROW!" LOL!!! And then Red Ranger screams "It's Morphin' Time" and "We need Dinosaur Power, NOW!" with so much conviction.....what the fuck man. HAHA.

But then again.... i guess where i got all my dance moves from!!! From the Black Ranger!! Look at him do the BODY ROLL!!! okok that was a bad joke... but that's one serious kickass body roll he did in the opening credits!!

and it was pouring so heavily just now, and there was lightning and thunder!!! it has been 4 months since i've experienced that! And it reminds me of home..... normally when it rains here (i won't even actually call it rain), it's more like baby's piss.... like if you want to rain, RAIN!!! Don't go all wishy washy and leak.... i like my rain to be TORRENTIAL!

So Saturday morning, i was supposed to take the 723am train to Avignon today.... but last nite, the school pub was having this crazy 10yr anniversary party... i drank too much (i whole bottle of wine and 1 1/2 pints of Strongbow) and this morning, i didnt wake up on time.... Alejandra and Isabela were freaking out and they called me on the intercom and i didnt even wake up.... i think it rang like 5 times before i jumped out of bed and realised it was already 7am and i was in deep shit.

I freaked, grabbed the nearest set of clothes in my cupboard, ran to the toilet, squeezed some toothpaste, put it in my mouth and i just gargled... i didnt even have time to bathe (please note that i didnt bathe last nite cos i was so fucking wasted). I was literally a walking disaster....My head was spinning and i ran to the tramway like i've never ran before..... In the end, we missed the train and we had to wait for the next one 2 hours later.... i was so embarrased about oversleeping, my breath still reeked of alcohol and my hair was in a mess cos i havent washed it since i cut it on friday morning. Such a big NO NO.

Anyway, here is the big reveal... i finally cut my hair! ok la, like never cut much.... but my head feels 10pounds lighter. ok u can go puke now.


Ok back to the topic..... we were all so fucking tired because of last nite's party we ended up sleeping in the trains.

Was supposed to attend this dialogue sessions with french pple who are interested in coming to singapore for exchange..... in the end none of them turned up and eric and i ended up talking to the organiser instead. French pple are soooo LAME. oh god. seriously

quite excited about the upcoming trips i have.... i've developed a new philosophy. I'm going to explore other parts of France, instead of jetsetting to other places.... i've realised that i know so little of this country that i've been staying in for the past 4months... i think it'll be nice. Going to Avignon this saturday.... and then to Normandy and Brittany the following weekend..... and to Corsica some time later.... and i dun even mind going alone.... like waiting for other pple's replies seriously takes too long and i dun really have the patience to wait. If anyone wants to join me tell me NOW!

French classes are getting more and more boring and i am so tempted to skip it now. We used to have so much fun during the intensive course but now i just cant be bothered.... like we can spend 2 1/2 hours watching a documentary and do comprehension after that, or spend the same amount of time debating about nonsense topic like the influence of media.... but i like it that i am the teacher's pet....

OOOH and french pple (in fact everyone else other than singaporeans) have NEVER seen the thing that we use to file stuff... the white flat wire thing that we use after we punch hole. They are so AMAZED at that thing (that me and my sis affectionately call "french fries" when we were young.) DAMN DUMB!!! and they asked me where i got them and i said back home.... i should have brought more over and give them as souvenirs cos i forgot to bring anything to give anyone here.... and someone should come up with a name for this thing!!!

During summer now, there's always this white cotton-y stuff which i think is dandelions flying everywhere.... it looks like its snowing, only that its not. and its quite irritating cos i scared i will inhale them.... and then there are these field flies that are very irritating also. the down side of summer.

And then i realised that i am only 9 weeks away from BBQ chicken wings, beef hor fun, carrot cake, roti prata, hokkien mee and my nice comfortable bed with no snoring and access to bittorent. And as a matter of fact, i cant wait to go home. I love it here... but i think it's enough. So i'm pleased to tell you i'm flying back on the 29th June....!!! and reaching on 30th! Oh god i cant wait.

argh..... this is so stupid.... was supposed to have my one and only lab today, but realised that the dept didnt allocate any space for exchange students and one session only allows 15 pple. Like WHAT THE HELL is that??

i am so PERPLEXED as to how this STUPID country actually operates.... first they tell me they are opened the day i arrived, which they were not. Then they had to make our student cards AFTER we arrived. Now THIS???? seriously wtf is wrong with this place???

a part of me wishes that i dun have to take the lab in the end cos really, i dun give a damn. As long as it doesnt affect my final grade, i dun really wish to watch concrete crack another time. but i just cant get over the fact that this is supposedly a DEVELOPED country and yet the organisation is so Jurassic..... seriously. It's as if this is the first time they are handling exchange students. ARGH.

ok i went to find the person in charge of the labs and he said there are no labs for foreigners!!! While i am a bit angry about the slightly racist/nationalist decision, i am also super happy that i dun have to do labs!!! YAY!!!

and i finally (finally) got my refund for the train i took to Karlsruhe the other time that was late.... which happened more than 2 months back (which basically tell you the efficiency of this place). 13.40euros worth of vouchers!!! DOUBLE YAY!!!

Went to this place Mendo near Valerie's place with her and Derek on Sunday nite for dinner. It's kinda like an asian fusion place... quite good. Big portions for less than 10euros. Although the food not very asian-authentic (none of these Asian places are), but not bad on the whole

I dunno why but nowadays when i wake up and i try to comb my hair with my fingers.... thanks to the static electricity in my fingers, my hair seems to stand up more... they follow where my fingers go.... do you think i am turning into a hot mutant??

sigh.... and they can't even give me a man one.... Japanese girl? SERIOUSLY?

OK.... basically i have been getting some flak for not cutting my hair... ok i shall let you guys decide the fate of my hair, whether or not i shall cut it...... some pple called me ah pek!!! (ego bruised....)

Initially i decided to stay in this Saturday to finish up some projects stuff.... starting to feel the heat a little... pun intended, both from the weather and the piles of project date dues.... but since i finished some stuff before hand i decided to go to this BBQ thingy organised by les espanol-phones at the river side of Parc Feyssine

at first i thought it was going to be some cosy affair with like 20 pple.... but Dalibel told me "oh about 150 paid for it" ok OMG thats a lot of people..... apparently who's who of the spanish speaking community will be there.... ok. i guess i'm going to be the only freaking chink again.
