MEANINGLESS RAMBLINGS....

i havent been to the movies in a bloody long time.... in fact the last movie i saw was License to Wed....which i am too embarrassed even to say it here.... Which was why i was super excited to have come chanced upon 2 Days in Paris, thanks to my trusty 8 days. Directed, written and edited by Julie Delpy of Before Sunrise/Sunset fame, this shizz is Literally laughed out loud funny!!! And i watched it online.... so it's free... HAHAH but do watch it in the cinema (only The Cathay is playing it) cause there arent any subtitles for the French speaking parts of the film (which is about half the time in the movie).....

Aye watching this movie made me think of France again..... I LOVE FRANCE, despite the shitloads of crap i've experienced there, no thanks to the administration and people. It the mere fact that i was immersed in a culture totally different from Singapore that made it so special, and memorable. Anyway, i leave you with the trailer to 2 Days in Paris

My Saturday nite was spent youtube-ing music videos of boybands of yesteryears. From the usual suspects like BSB and Nsync to the lesser known ones like 5ive, 911 and Code Red. Nostlagia came flooding back to me... with all the funky dance moves and floppy hair (but unfortunately cheesy outfits that consist of tight sleeveless tees and sweat pants). I remembered having to squeeze out a dance choreo for NSYNC's "It's tearing up my Heart" for my VJ's orientation performance in one nite.... which turned out to be GOD AWFUL and the days when carol and skee splattered their files with posters of 911 and Code Red. Oh good god, i'm old.

Good times man.

On my bday itself, we went to my sister's place at Seng Kang for the first time... to pray and stuff. Waited for the fengshui master to come... wait until leg pain cos nowhere to sit. Notice the agony on my face

It's been a long time since i've look forward to growing older and partied this hard... probably because i'm so free i got nothing to think about. Dinner, clubbing, surprise after surpise celebrations, and more clubbing.... haha i dun think i even did so much for my 21st..... THANKS to all my friends for the wonderful surprises, appreciate it very much. in the meantime, here are some pictures from last nite!

Zouk on the eve of Deepavali..... BAD IDEA. Half the Singapore population thought it was a good idea to go clubbing on the same night, and its as if Zouk was the only place open in the entire country. The line to Velvet snaked all the way to the basement carpark of Copthorne and the line to Zouk and Phuture went all the way to the bloody canal. How crazy is that. I arrived at 945pm and only got in at 11pm. And it freaking cover charge at Velvet was 30 for guys and 20 for girls.... EARN LIKE CRAZY MAN!!! and that doesnt include the copious amounts of alcohol people buy!!

And thats not the worst part... they started playing Ye Lai Xiang, Cha Cham Bo and Veneru Valiba..... the Indians present must have hyperventilated. And the best way to get over the horrendous music ..... alcohol. Tequila, Vodka, Rhum, Whisky, Gin and Beer all mixed into one tummy.... i was officially smashed by 230am. And talking incessantly on MSN after i ger drunk seems to be the latest way i like embarrassing myself. Aye. Who's turning 24 again?!

They are baaaaack!!! one million YAYs!! haha. Thou the song hasnt grown on me yet, and its a cheesy pop ballad (shouldnt an up tempo song be more appropriate for a comeback?!)... i'm just excited they are back together for now!

1. I figured since my ippt window was almost up, i'd better take it before getting charged even thou i didnt actually train for it cept for the the last minute running sessions 3 weeks before. And i still managed to get 100bucks!! haha. i was hoping i cud use all my gu lat to do more pullups, but i guessed i've passed my prime and getting silver was wishful thinking on my part. i only managed 6 1/2 pullups haha. So embarrassing.

Quite amazed with the whole automated setup now.... DAMN COOL!!! u just put the tag on the floor, and do situps whenever you are ready, and the screen in fronts flashes the number of seconds left and a voice calls out the no of situps you have done!! macam like automated telephone operator service. HAHA!!

2. Exams are round the corner but i still have projects, assignments, presentation and FYP to worry about. EEeeks. so much for having only 2 modules this sem.

3. Freakish weather. Super cloudy in the morning, then sun out for 2 hours and just when i was about to go for a swim, the temperature dropped a couple of degrees again. Aye.

4. Been getting a couple of comments that i have a black, sometimes a too-cool-to-care face. Really meh>?? i'm just born that way. i am FRENLY!!! right?! and there's nothing to smile about 24/7 anyway.

5. Met up with Seeyong, Song yao and Edina for dinner the other nite. Good times. Old frens are still better...

6. and supper with Aili, Jp and Yunn. Woots! Who said my social life was non-existant?! hehs

7. Looking forward to dinner next tuesday to celebrate my birthday! yay! Turning 24, but non the wiser. Whatever.
