Frost Family Faces

It snowed...finally...for a couple days (interesting that it finally happened in March) so we played in the snow...for 3 days!

Day 1, (Thursday) Ella begged me to go outside and play in the snow in the morning, so for the half hour before I had to go get Ethan from the bus, Ella played in the snow, and Ariana walked around the snow...


And Ella threw the snow...mostly at me which she thought was really funny...

and picked up really big chunks of snow...

and had a really fun time!
Ella wanted me to help her build a snowman, but I couldn't bend over to help, so I said Daddy would help her when he got home.




And Ariana walked around the snow and just had fun being outside...


Don't you love the necklace in her hand? She wouldn't put it down to come outside.

Later that day, after Ethan was home, we went outside again and played. (sorry, no pictures of that, but a neighbor was kind enough to let us borrow her sled, so they sledded down the hill by the park and had a lot of fun!)

That night, it snowed again...So Friday we went outside after school and did the same thing...played and played and played...

And then Saturday...Daddy was home! He took the kids sledding...for real!....


We borrowed these sleds from Mom Frost...

We started by going down a few small hills at a park, but Ethan and Ella didn't like it becuase they'd already seen this big hill, so Charles took them down the big hill, and I stayed at the top with Ariana...

The very top of the hill, until about half way down was pretty much just grass, but the rest of it was great for sledding and the kids had a ball!

and Ethan getting stuck! They actually slid a few times, then decided to build a snowman! then they slid some more...

Ariana just wandered back and forth along this path, and even walked on the snow all by herself!

Since we were so close the Grandma Frost's house, we decided to go back there for a visit and ended up staying for dinner. Ethan and Ella went outside and played in the snow (I know, surprise!) and Daddy helped them build a snowman!








Grandpa frost loaned us some extra buttons for eyes and nose.

We went home, and the kids were sound asleep within 5 min. It was a very fun three days!

Ethan got an extra day off for President's Day weekend in February so I thought I'd take advantage of it and go down to St. George for a few days. It was WONDERFUL!! I had so much fun visiting and seeing everyone again and Ethan, Ella and Ariana had a fun time playing outside with their cousins.

Grandma decided to start her garden and started by planting some peas...Ethan's a great help...

Ariana loved being in the backyard. She just wandered and would pick up a random piece of grass, or leaf, stick it in her mouth, spit it back out and move on to something else. She loved being outside!

Then, Saturday morning, my brother Dan rented a bobcat to do some work for his neighbor. He decided to kill two birds with one stone and came over to even out my dad's retaining wall...here come the demolition pictures!....

Dad needed the retaining wall evened out so he could park the trailer easier...plus the old tree stumps needed to come out too...

Whenever Dan starts a project and it requires demolition, he gets this manic gleam in his eye...especially when he gets to use a "big boy toy"!

We had lunch and played at the park one of the days we were down...we went to a park close to the Santa Clara River and the kids had tons of fun throwing rocks and whatever else they could find into it.

And Ariana had a first! Her very first ice cream cone! She loved it until it started to get on her hands, then it was way to cold!


But it was sure yummy!

And she sure enjoyed it!

She also cut two teeth while we were in St. George. One top, and a third bottom!

I also got to visit with my friend Sandee and Jenny! It was wonderful to talk to them and see them again.

We had a great time! We love going to St. George. A couple of times on the way home, Ethan said "I miss Grandma!" and when we pulled into our driveway Ella said "nooooo! I want to go to Grandma's house!" We all had a wonderful time!
