Dinosaur Museum!

I love the dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving Point.  It is amazing!  I think one day I'll go without my kids and actually read and understand the whole thing, but I love it too that it's so kid friendly!  Grandma Gough came up with Grandpa Gough (he had a conference) and we had a couple of days to play so we went!  I've been wanting to go there with mom for a while.  We went on a Wednesday so there was almost no one else there...

And a lot of the things the kids can tough too!  Which I love...

Ariana was nervous to go into new rooms...she would scream and cry until we got her in there and she realized it wasn't anything scary...

This was a big magnetic board and the kids had to put the dinosaur together...

 some "fossils"...

And their favorite by far...the erosion room...

Dirt and water...what could be better!

Elora came with us.  Max really wanted to come but he got sick...

Now they can dig up some dino's!

Elizabeth loved the sand so much, she sat and even ate some of it...She loved it though.

We had a very fun time!  I loved going to this museum, and so did the kids.

More Random...

Here are some random pictures of the first couple of weeks after we moved in...

 Taking a break from un-packing...

Until we got the TV hooked up this is how my kids watched movies :)

 Mowing the lawn with daddy!

I'm freeee!  Elizabeth get's outside and loves the freedom!

I don't know if she's happy or sad, or just making a funny face...but it sure is funny!

 Following in his footsteps!

The House!

There are a lot of pictures...we took a lot of pictures but here are some before and after pictures of the newest member of our family...

The color of the walls in the kitchen...the color itself was really pretty, but there was just too much of it!

I know...nice right?  if it hadn't been for the carpet in the dining room, we would have left the floor the way it was, and just painted...but...anyway...

The view from our back door...

Getting ready to figure out where we wanted the tile to go...
(notice there is carpet in the dining room...wasn't gonna happen with 4 kids!)

and construction has begun!  Walls were painted back to their original color... and the carpet and floor are ripped up...

 Backer board is in!

 Tile begins...

and done!  (well not completely...we need to seal the grout and put in a transition between the carpet and tile, but it's livable and we've sure been living on it!

 and the entry way!

A special thanks to all of Charles' family Tangela and Natalie for coming to our rescue!  We couldn't have done it without all the help we got!

And an even more special thanks to my mom and dad...My mom came up to help me pack and clean, and my dad finished the tile while we packed up.  Thank you so much!  You will never know how much all that meant to me!

All I can say is WHAT A RIDE!! I know a lot more about tile than I ever wanted to know, but more especially, I know what to do, what not to do, and how I'd for sure do it different next time.  I got my hands mudded, my knees so sore I didn't know how I'd kneel again, but by doing this we indeed made this house OURS!  (and I can say..."yup, I've laid tile!")

Traveling...

Since we bought the house in Eagle Mountain, it required a lot of back and forth travel time...here's what we look like traveling...

yup...this says it all :)

Ella's Preschool Graduation

Ella graduated from preschool!  She loved school.  She would come home singing cute little songs and doing dances.  She wrote her name and learned all her ABC's and most of the sounds.  She came such a long way in the two years she was in Miss Hasic's class.

Singing a cute song...she sang every word of every song!

 Getting her "diploma!"

Cute girl!  Tangela made her a candy necklace.

 Braden and Ella!

 Miss Hasic and Ella

 Daddy and Ella!

 Miss Rachel and Ella!

And Grandma was able to come because she came on a rescue mission to help me pack things.

This girl is such a monkey!  She can cross all the monkey bars and chains!

She get's up by climbing the pole on one side...

Then when she get's done, she slides down the other pole on the other side...

And then she'll go across the second set the same way!

Elizabeth loved climbing onto the bottom of the slide...

 Ariana loved the slide!

 Ariana and Elizabeth...

And Ethan at the top of the slide!

This is what we did after school everyday.  I would come and pick up Ella and Braden, if it was good weather, we would play on the playground...and then Ethan would come out and we would all play before going home.

Here's to an awesome 2012-2013 school year!
