Easter 2014

We had so much fun for Easter!  We went down to St. George and had a blast!  I rebelled a little because I found out that St. George had the Friday and Monday of Easter off from school, and I really wanted to play so I took the kids out of school and we went to St. George on Thursday night and got back Monday evening.  It was so fun to see my family and for the kids to play with their cousins.  We sure miss them!

Ethan lost his tooth just before we left!  I think that's his 3rd.

Elizabeth was a little sleepy from traveling all night, then not going to sleep when we got to Grandma's house!

This is the first Easter Egg hunt.  Charles' co-worker that works from St. George invited us to their HUGE neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt.  It was really huge.  They had prizes in the eggs for what was found, 3 different age groups and they even had gold dollars in some of the eggs.  My kids made out like bandits!  They each got about 6 bottles of bubbles, tons of candy and other treats and way more stuff than I can mention.  They had so much fun!

Charles stayed with the younger kids for theirs so I only got pictures of the older kids during the actual hunt, but Elizabeth and Ariana sure had fun in theirs!

 Going through their loot!

At the prize booth Ariana got these cute fairy wings that she wore all weekend long!

After we got back to Grandma's house, I helped the girls and Ethan dye Easter Eggs!

I think we ended up doing around 10 dozen!

And we had a little celebration for Elizabeth's birthday.  She blew out her candles on some cupcakes I made.

Easter Sunday we had a huge family dinner and Easter Egg hunt...here are the kids getting ready to go!

And they're off...

Elizabeth did a pretty good job all by herself!

 See...the fairy wings...

 And lots of Easter Eggs!

All the Grand kids that could be there!  This is the best picture we got off all of them!

Then, as is tradition, the "big boys" got to do a big boy hunt!  The older nephews hid the eggs this year...I think a few of the sister-in-laws helped...

 Watch out here they come!

 On the roof and everywhere!

Getting a little help to get an egg...

Grandpa Gough had a lot of fun too...

 Elizabeth loved the swings!

Pretty girl!

Then someone put in "Frozen" and I walked in to see everyone singing "Let it Go"

Chillin' with an Uncle...I can't tell who it is...

 Snuggles with Grandpa Gough!

The last day we had a picnic at the park...

 Can I have some!?!

I really don't remember whey they're crying...but I think this is a pretty funny picture.

We loved being in St. George.  The weather was perfect, seeing and visiting with family was wonderful and the kids thoroughly loved playing and spending time with their cousins.

We also want to give thanks for the reason for this holiday, for the Atonement and Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Eternal Families and the ability to live with Him again would not be possible without it.

What a wonderful special day!  It was such an amazing experience to see this sweet boy baptized!  He was so excited.  This was completely his choice and we are so happy with the choice he made!

Great example for his little sisters!

Cousins!

Grandma and Grandpa Gough came too!

 Proud parents!

We had a fun lunch after and enjoyed a lot of fun company.  He had such great support at his baptism and it was a wonderful experience!

Then of course, he started scouts!  He was so excited to go!

he ran the whole way to the church!

Mud...lots of mud...lots of fun but lots and lots of MUD!  They got hosed off before they came inside then they got some major baths!

Elizabeth took her baby into her mud bath with her...

Lydia got pretty muddy too...

Th clean ones...they didn't want to get in the mud...

She's trying to get inside.  Instead she got stripped down and hosed off!

They sure had a lot of fun.  It was especially fun to have cousins involved!

It's great to be 8 and Ethan was so excited to turn 8!  Because of General Conference, we had his birthday on the 9th and then he was baptized on the 12th.  It worked out great for us.

He only invite a few friends and cousins to his party.  We got some squirters and let them just play outside.  It was warm enough and they had lots of fun...

Then of course he blew out his candles...

Elizabeth snitching the treats!

He had lots of fun.  He loved having friends over and especially loved the squirters!  Happy birthday Ethan!  We sure love you!

Hair!

Elizabeth....my sweet, sweet lovely 2 year old got into the Vicks Vapor Rub...and rubbed it in her hair!
She also got it in her eyes (that was pretty owie, but we did get it out) on her clothes (thanks to Oxyclean, that all came out) and all over her body (multiple scrubs in the tub with body wash and a stiff washcloth) but her hair was a different story.  I couldn't get it all out.  I used regular shampoo, dishsoap, but what finally got it out was...
Peanut Butter!

It was so stiff it stood on its own!
Silly girl!
