First month of married life....

I can't believe Jonathan and I have been married for one month! The last month has flown by so fast! That only means summer is almost over too! The best thing about this past month, besides getting married, would definitely have to be our trip to Hawaii! Besides getting hurt on the moped, I LOVED Hawaii! If you ever go to Oahu, you have to stay at the Moana Surfrider Hotel! It was AMAZING! It's one of the oldest hotels in Oahu!

This was the view from our room! I wish I was back there now!
Jonathan made two short video clips from the honeymoon and once I know how to load them up on here then I will do it!

I also managed to pack my entire apartment and move into Jonathan's house during this last month! I have also unpacked all but 3 boxes...I did that the first week too! ;) Living in a house is so much better than an apartment! I am very grateful that I don't have to climb 3 flights of stairs anymore especially when I have just gone grocery shopping! One thing I am very excited about is decorating the house for the holidays! I am going to try and talk Jonathan into buying a new Christmas tree this year. We found the one we wanted (or I should say I wanted!) last year but we decided to wait to get it...maybe we will get it this year! But for now I think I will just enjoy the rest of my summer while I still have it and not think about Christmas just yet...even though Hobby Lobby already has all the fall and Christmas stuff out already! I think that's just ridiculous!!!!

I think in the last month I have also cooked a lot more...which really isn't saying a whole lot! I guess I am trying to become a little more "domesticated" with cooking and decorating the house! HA! It has been a lot of fun using all our new little kitchen toys we got as wedding gifts!  My favorite kitchen toy is my red kitchen aid mixer! It was a Christmas/early wedding gift to us from my parents! I haven't used it that much yet but I am in LOVE with it! I wanted a pink one but Jonathan said no to that! Oh well I am glad I have one no matter what the color! Maybe I will try and use it tonight for dinner/dessert! ;)

Oh I love him so much!

Cooking, Baking, and Peanut Butter Pie...

So now that I am a wife I have to learn to cook and bake better! When your husband comes from a family where the mom cooks good then you definitely have to keep up with that...or at least try! Jonathan does a lot of the cooking and he's good at it...so I might not try too hard to learn how to cook better! ;) Just kidding! I will say I have made home made mashed potatoes twice and I think they were pretty good! I was impressed with myself! I have a few other things that I can cook well at but that's about all!

Well last night I decided I would bake! I really love to bake! Secretly I wish I could open up my own bakery or pastry shop! I love watching Cake Boss and DC Cupcakes on TLC...I think that's the reason why I would like to open up my own shop! Now just because I would like to do that doesn't mean I am good at it...I think it's a lot more fun than actual cooking though!

We got a few recipe books as wedding gifts and one of them was this one...

It's actually a really good cookbook! It has more "fancy" type recipes in there but they look super easy and good! Well last night I made the Peanut Butter Pie recipe for dessert! It was actually pretty good! I think I would change the crust to a chocolate wafer crust next time though! I just couldn't find chocolate wafers at Target!

All you need is.....

Then put it all together and it turns into this....

Now with a glass of milk this tastes so good and you will feel like you gained about 10 pounds after eating it but it was worth it! ;) Oh, and Jonathan said he liked it...yay!

Tonight Jonathan and I are going to Chamberlains!!!! I am so excited! We LOVE going there! It should be a fun night out!

So I am entering the blog world....

Ok I know I don't have any kids and will not for a while but I decided to try out this blog thing. I feel like a lot of people who blog, blog about their kids. Well, I recently got married and thought this would be a great way to "scrapbook" online our first year of marriage in hopes of printing the blog into a book like so many of my "mommy" friends have done with their kids. It would also give our families and friends a way to keep up with us especially if they live far away! I guess we shall see how this goes!!! ;)
