It's A BOY!

Now if we could only agree on names...and I've given up trying to please everybody! It seems like whatever one of us comes up with, the other already knows someone with that name, or it's too hard to pronounce, etc. Oh well, we've got about 5 months to duke it out. In the meantime, we are on the househunt! And we're off...

Baby Monga

I thought I'd post some pics of the little creature that's been making me puke lately :) The first one scares me, I'm not gonna lie. I can't wait til it doesn't look like a martian anymore. Furthermore. I can't wait til I don't have to call it "it" anymore! I think we find out next month what it is, I'll keep you posted

Blakey got his mission call to Sydney Australia! He reports July 8, awww Richard. Speaking of marsupials, I got 2 of my own for Valentines day. Buddah presented me with not one, but two Sugar Gliders for my very own:

I discovered that they like crackers and fruit, which is good because I refuse to feed them the mealworms Buddah bought for them

He named the boy "Suge Knight", after the gangster/murderer. I haven't named the girl yet, she's kinda feisty, but I'm open to suggestions...

Savior of the World

So, I decided to dust off my old flute, and audition for a production about the Savior around Easter time...and I got the part! I'm stoked, hopefully I can get all my flute mojo back.

2009 Easter Production
In commemoration of the 2009 Easter season, the Henderson Nevada Anthem Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) sponsors a two-hour musical production, “Savior of the World: His Birth and Resurrection” at the Henderson Pavilion (200 S Green Valley Pkwy in Henderson, Nevada) on April 17, 18, 21, 22, 23, 24 and 25th at 7:30pm. Tickets can be purchased on this website beginning soon, for a nominal price of $5 ($7 after March 15th). The grass overflow area will be free for each show.

This production was created by the LDS Church as a testimony of the Savior on the second millennial anniversary of His birth and has been presented in the Conference Center Theater near Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Utah since November 2000. In 2008 the Las Vegas Valley enjoyed this extraodinary production, and we now have the opportunity of presenting it again in 2009.

We invite everyone to attend our second annual presentation of "Savior of the World" in Southern Nevada. As a great prophet once said, we “talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ.” We feel privileged to share this deeply moving musical dramatization that depicts the birth and resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ.

When my baby brothers play Nintendo, they take on alter egos. Note Richard's face in the following sequence:

When Richard was just a small boy, if you happened to be in the same room when he would lose a game, he would most definitely find some way to blame you for it. For example "Heather why'd you cough you made me lose!" or "Heather stop moving I can't concentrate", etc. etc.
On another note, Buddah got his sweet little head shaved at fire the other day

Look at the little cholo...Apparently my Buddah has an alter ago too, his name is "Humberto." Anyone need their lawn mowed?

Christmas break is officially over, tomorrow I get to back to work and see how naughty or nice the kids have been over the past 2 weeks! Hopefully, they're all gonna be angels. Potty-trained angels. Who don't hit. My first Christmas with Meeky was truly amazing. We got very spoiled from both sides of our family. I was happy that morning because I FINALLY made my mom's breakfast pie the right way, after many failed attempts. Here is Buddah taking a sample

We're really trying to get all our kicks and giggles in before Buddah starts the fire academy on the 26th. We had an ok trip to the Magic Kingdom, it was way too crowded to really have fun there hough. I got ran over by strollers one too many times. We've seen our fair share of movies lately too. Yesterday we went and had a nice picnic at Spring Mountain Ranch

it may not look like it, but trust me it was freezing.

On a side note, I really love freshly vacuumed carpet. With vacuum lines and everything. Our landlords have a central vacuum system installed, and I can't get enough of it. Now I understand why my mom wouldn't let us walk on the carpet after she vacuumed it, there's really something soothing about a nice vacuumed carpet.
