This past weekend we went to Macon to visit Melinda, Brian, Max, Lunchbox, Helen and Chompers. We went to the Douglass Theatre to see the Lovell Sisters, a bluegrass trio from North Georgia. They were incredible! Good times.
Gary and I went to see the Lipizanners in Columbus, GA a couple of weekends ago. For those of you unfamiliar with this breed, they perform dressage steps in unison. It is similar to a ballet where the stallions are the ballerinas. Currently used for show, this great breed was formerly used in battle in Europe for many years. General Patton saved the breed, very close to extinction, towards the end of World War II. Today the Lipizzaners are found at the Spanish Riding School in Vienna, Austria and also on select farms in Florida. It was truly amazing to watch these gorgeous animals perform.
What does this song mean anyway . . . should old aquaintence be forgot? does that mean we are supposed to forget that we remembered them? or are we supposed to remember that we have forgotten them? how can we remember if we've already forgotten? I've never understood . . .
NY Eve 2006 - Skybar Doug & Katherine joined us for dinner at Hamiltons and then we moseyed on down to Skybar to meet Bhall and Ally. Cheers!

what this blog is
a glimpse into our lives. moments we cherish, little and big. photos we like, big and little. a scrapbook of sorts. smiles and stories to share with friends and family. some good times. some great times. even some so so times. the not so great times won't be found here, but they certainly exist.
