The Birthday Girl!
It's so hard to believe that my baby girl is already a year old. We enjoyed spending the day of her birthday as a family at Alabama Adventure. Despite the heat, we had a great time.

As far as what my big girl is doing at this milestone in her life, she is all over the place. She is walking all the time, although occasionally looks a bit off balance. She is babbling constantly. Her favorite word continues to be "Da Da", but she also likes to say "Bay Bay" (baby). I usually hear "Mama" when she is whining, or wants me to pick her up. She will try to repeat anything you say, but she usually just mouths or whispers it. I can already tell she is going to be a smart little girl. She already knows yes and no, and will nod her answer if you ask a question. Addison loves baby dolls and stuffed animals, and is usually caring one around and loving on it. She is such a sweet and loving baby girl, and we are blessed to have spent the last year with her in our life.

We had a great 4th of July. We spent the afternoon/evening at Yaya's cooking out with friends. Then we took the kiddos to watch Thunder on the Mountain. Good times spent with family and friends!

This picture from Vacation Bible School makes me laugh. I think all the boys were pouring their bubbles now the drain pipe. I feel quite certain that this is not what they were supposed to be doing!

I figured I should get the 11 month post on here before Big Girl's big day in 2 weeks. Wow, that seems unreal. Only 2 more weeks until my baby turns one. While I'm happy we are reaching this milestone, it kind of makes me sad too. My last baby is growing up too fast! But it is amazing to watch Addison grow and learn new things daily. The biggest of these things is walking! Yes, baby girl is on the move. She doesn't walk all the time, but she takes 4-5 steps at a time several times a day. She also loves to dance. She has awesome dance moves!

According to the bathroom scale, Addison weighs about 19 lbs. She still only has 6 teeth. Her favorite things right now are her baby doll, blueberries and her Mommy (but she also thinks Daddy and "bubby" are pretty special too). She is a chatterbox, mostly speaking a foreign jibber jabber language. She continues to be a great baby, napping twice a day and sleeping about 11 hours at night. We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful daughter.

We spent a week at the beach with Joey's family. The weather was wonderful, and we had a great time. As always, Gavin loved the beach. Addison didn't really like walking or sitting in the sand, but she was quite content sitting on the blanket playing with the beach toys. Both kiddos had a great time playing with their cousins. Thank you Mimi and PopPop for such a wonderful vacation!
