WEBSTER FAMILY

I was so excited when I was meandering at Wal-Mart to come upon a Spin Art machine for $10. I loved that thing growing up!  So I snagged it and was so excited to pull it out at just the right time.  A freak storm blew in this past week and we were home bound so I brought it out.  I was So disappointed with the size it was barely half of the box!  No wonder it was $10.  Despite my disappointment the kids had fun!

My Great Aunt Evelyn (My Grandma's sister-in-law) turned 100 years old and we were invited to come to her party. It was in Redding so Eliza, Xander and I ventured up with my folks.  Oh to be like Aunt Evelyn in 70 years!  WOW!  She doesn't miss a beat. She remembered everyone who came, she doesn't wear glasses, she barely uses a walker.  And she surrendered her drivers license on her own accord the day before she turned 100.  The lady at the DMV told her she did not have to but Evelyn said, "I'm 100. I'm done driving."  Xander and Eliza ended up having fun with some very distant cousins, I met some cousins that I may not ever have met and we enjoyed a nice drive with my parents.  I LOVE family!

 I am so proud of our little Monkey!  The Junior Team has been so great for Eliza.  She is quite the little swimmer now. The junior team competes at home meets around here and at their first meet the kids got to choose between swimming with or without their fins.  Eliza chose to swim with them on but we have worked extra hard and this next week she will be swimming with only her feet! So exciting!!

Super excited Mom here! My kiddos are finally on a swim team. Xander is on the regular team, Eliza is on the jr. team (more about that later).  I am so happy with how much Xander has progressed this year. He can now swim all 4 strokes almost legally, diving from the block and almost has his flipturn nailed. :)  Ya-hoo! He prefers freestyle and butterfly (good boy) and is having a blast with all the other kids on the team.

We have been having lots of fun this month! We haven't done anything too big but each day we are having fun doing something silly and together. My goal is to take a few minutes each day and put everything aside and DO something with my kiddos.  It's been tricky (especially with the crazy heat wave because after practice all I wanted to do was SLEEP!) but we are trying.

We met Nana & Grumpy for $1 scoop night at Baskin Robbins! The kids LOVED it and we all had such a blast, we've decided to make it a weekly treat that the kids have to earn each week. Yahoo!!
