So. It has been a long while since I have been creative. (Or posted here, I note)
On Sunday I hosted a day long Wild Art Journaling retreat at No 45 in Brighton. Four diverse and beautiful souls sat down to make art, talk, eat an incredible lunch, and make art some more. Much tea, coffee and sumptuous raw chocolate was eaten. We shared, we laughed (so much!!) and we connected. We started with blank pages and we lit our creative fires and made art and more art.
This is my happy place. Playful creativity without aim or purpose other than being creative and expressive in itself. Playing. Happy. Authentic and free.
Not only that but in getting out all my art stuff to take with me, I rediscovered the Oracle cards I made in Glastonbury with Erin Faith Allen (and a whole host of other gorgeous Wild Souls) the October before last.
They were made intuitively. There was not a plan when I made them. Only a message open to interpretation, some more formed than others.
I drew one this morning. It has on it. It's at the top of this page.
Your dreams are worth pursuing - little note from Andrea Sher and Jen Lemen's wonderful e course, Mondo Beyondo.
A photo of me taken by Tracy Moore - husband of Teesha and experimental photographer. Taken at the first Call of the Wild Soul Art retreat - some 4 years ago. I am wearing my pinkest scarf and an orange top. Lights are coming out of my head. It was a slow release camera and the lights were moving but in this image they are expoding from my head!
And the words play is painted across the bottom of it. PLAY.
And this morning I had a chat with a woman who has set up an art studio in her garden in Ditchling. Gardening is her passion and she has created a wonderfully beautiful garden there. She used to run Evolution Arts and is a really experienced workshop leader. Her theme for her space is mindfulness and creativity and she has just run her first course in this space based on the Artists Way.
She contacted me OUT OF THE BLUE last week wondering if I was interested in running Wild Art Journaling workshops there. I wrote back immediately with massive enthusiasm. YES I AM. I am looking for more spaces to do my work. I love working at No 45 because its such a beautiful space. Its a home with a magical quality. I don't want to run my workshops in any old space. I need it to be beautiful and unique. Or special in some way. So here she comes this lady (Tessa) from Ditchling. And not only is she totally aligned, but she is experienced and we talked about course structures and pricing and she had insights that were so cool. And she values the work we do.
Today I am very happy and feel like there is magic in the air and that things happen for a reason. All is coherent and just what I have been asking the universe for.
pure magical energy and connection between souls.
