15 Months and counting...

Landon had a great 15th month! He celebrated his 2nd Halloween, and he got an awesome new car to cruise in! He weighs around 24 pounds and quickly growing out of all of his clothes! We can't keep up! Landon's new favorite activity is climbing...on everything! Landon loves his family to be together, all of the time, in the same room. If anyone walks out, he takes it upon himself to yell the name as loud as he can! It's especially cute when he yells Halle's name! (Ha-ya)

Landon's 2nd Halloween

Eventhough we were all feeling under the weather, we still had to dress Landon up for Halloween and celebrate. Our little skeleton was so proud of his costume! We spent time with family and neighbors and had a very quiet evening at home. It was perfect!

Landon 14 Months!

So, I am a little late in posting this blog. Landon is almost 15 months now, but better late than never. As most other months, Landon's 14 month of life was full of adventure. He had his first trip to New York City for Aunt Terry's 60th birthday party and it was a blast. He loved the hustle and bustle of NYC, and he especially loved the horses lined up around Central Park waiting to take people on carriage rides. Landon now runs (not walks) where ever he goes, and he is finally exploring with new foods. We are officially a baby bottle free home! Everyday is a new adventure for us! Landon loves spending his time outside, reading book after book after book, and going to school and the park!

Sweet Berry Farm

Today we ventured to Marble Falls, TX for a family field trip. Katie, Khai, and Andrew met us at Sweet Berry Farm so that we could get some good pictures of the boys in the pumpkin patch, but we ended up doing more than just that. First, we let the boys get acquianted with the local goats. Landon had fun feeding them grass and letting them nibble on his hands. Then, he went to pet the horses. He continued making his "horse noise" for some time afterward. After the animals, we piled onto the trailer for our "private" hayride. I say "private" because we were the only people on the hayride. The ride took us to the other side of the farm where they have rows and rows of beautiful flowers and scarecrows dressed up in different settings (for example: the fisherman, the hunter, etc.) They also had more goats and chickens on this side. The lovely Texas heat started to beat down on us, so we headed back to the other side of the farm where we got homemade pumpkin ice cream and homemade strawberry popsicles. They were delicious. The trip ended with a great lunch at The Bluebonnet Cafe. We are already looking forward to going to Sweet Berry Farm next fall!

Landon-13 months old!

Landon is officially past the one year mark and well onto his second year of life! The biggest accomplishment of this month was the start of school. Landon started school last week and he is doing great so far. There were definitely tears (from Landon and Kristen) and there are still tears, but overall he is having fun. Landon loves spending his time outdoors. Any chance he gets he is grabbing his shoes (which he calls "sssues") and heading for the door. He especially likes playing in the hose and with rocks. His vocabulary is booming these days! Some of our favorite words to hear him say are: shoes, keys, juice, Kate Kate, kitty cat, Halle, and of course his animal noises for dog, monkey, cow, sheep, and the newest pig and chicken. We are looking forward to the next adventures! Times are never dull around here!

Landon Turns One!!!! Happy Birthday!

What a year to remember! And of course, Landon had an unforgettable first birthday. He ended up being very sick, so we cancelled the small celebration that we had planned, then sort of had one anyway (we had the sandwiches, balloons, and cake, so why not?) and then ended up in the emergency room that evening. Luckily, Landon was not dehydrated yet so he did not get an IV, but it was painful nonetheless. Anyway, we can't believe that the first year has come and gone. It is so much fun watching Landon as he turns into a little boy. He is no longer a baby. His vocabulary is expanding by the second and so is his sense of humor. We look forward to the next year of his life and we can't wait to see how much he changes and grows. Landon is so sweet and silly. He loves giving us kisses and making animal sounds. During Landon's 12th month, he traveled to New York for the first time to meet his family there and got his first haircut. At his one year check-up, Landon weighed 22 lb 5 oz (50th percentile) and measure 31.5 inches long (90th percentile).

Vroom, vroom!!!!

Landon loves his new four-wheeler that he got for his birthday! Thanks Nana and Papa! We look forward to the day that he can press the go button on his own but dread it just the same! Watch out!

Landon's First Trip to New York

Landon met his great grandmother for the first time as well as many other relatives. He had so much fun playing with his cousins Gracie and Olivia. We wished they lived closer! We had such a wonderful time visiting with everyone and we are so blessed to have such a great family! It was fun introducing Landon to the whole gang!
Landon is at the Twist and Shake in this picture in Olean. He loved playing on the wooden train and he even went into a bouncy house for the first time!
Outside Texas Hot in Wellsville, NY. Landon of course ate a grilled cheese sandwich. Maybe he'll be ready for a hot on his next visit.
On our last day in NY, we had an awesome cousins' picnic at a state park nearby. The playscape was ideal for Landon and his "need" to climb. After two hours of good food and great company, the rain took over and caused us to end our picnic abruptly. It was fun while it lasted!

Landon's First Hair Cut

Landon was so brave today! We took him to Cool Cuts for Kids for his first hair cut and he did awesome! Of course there were some tears and some laughter but in the end, it turned out really nice! We used goldfish as a distraction. It's amazing how quick the stylist was given the speed and bobble of his head. This was just the first of many, many haircuts in Landon's lifetime!
