You never would have imagined that only 2 days ago we were wearing shorts and playing outside in almost 80 degree weather! Today we woke up to snowflakes! They continued to fall and fall, so after school we braved the coldness and went to play in the snow. Landon wasn't much of a fan, but Halle loved it. After she found her ball, she chased it all around the backyard. Landon enjoyed walking in the snow, but he didn't want to touch it. The neighbors made a snowman, so we went next door to pose with it! Maybe next year he will be more interested...

 

 

 

 

Last weekend we took Landon to see Sesame Street Live. We are very aware of Landon's undying love for Elmo, but we were a little nervous about how he would do seeing him in real life, and huge! To our surprise, he did AWESOME! Landon loved seeing all his favorite TV characters, and he especially enjoyed the music. As you can see from the pictures, he spent most of the time pointing in disbelief at the stage. After he got over the shock, he clapped and danced through the first half. By the second half, he was ready to go but it was well worth the experience (and the 2 and half hour nap that followed!!)!

 

 

 

 

Landon is now 18 months old! He officially celebrated his half birthday on Valentine's Day, but Mommy and Daddy were in San Diego for a wedding. At Landon's wellness check, he weighed 26.10 lbs (50-75th%) and measured 34.5 inches long (above the 95th%). He also got the okay to start taking Flinstone vitamins with iron since he is a self proclaimed vegetarian (except for the occasional chicken nugget). Landon's vocabulary is booming as we speak! Every day is new words and new ideas. We can even see his brain turning as he is thinking of the next comical thing to say. Landon loves to talk about his family members and his friends from school, especially his best friend, Kendall. I know we say this all of the time, but Landon is really so much fun right now! We love to sit back and watch him grow more and more into a little boy. Another big milestone this month is the potty. Landon has not used it for its purpose yet, but he enjoys sitting on it while making grunting noises at the same time. He also loves to lay on his "pummy" in the bathtub!
