Here are a few pics of Collins' first Easter and the first time she met her great grandma!

 

 

 

 

Another week has come and gone and we are continuing to figure out our new family dynamics. Collins weighed 9 lb. 8 oz. this week. We took her to the doctor only to find out that she has an eye infection, thrush, and acid reflux. We are working on getting her well and luckily we are used to the reflux due to Landon having it as well. She is still sleeping like a champ!

 

Week 2 has been much more eventful for Miss Collins. It started off with Kristen taking a trip to the ER because of a nasty infection called mastitis that she got from nursing. We are stil recovering from this painful thing and we're not sure how it will all turn out at this point, but the important thing to remember is that Collins is healthy! After meeting with a lactation consultant we figured out that the infection began because Collins had a tight lingual frenulum (under her tongue) so on Tuesday we took her to an ENT who did a very quick snip under her tongue to fix the problem. She is currently learning to suck properly but we are not 100% sure that she will learn the correct way. Collins' umbilical cord also fell off on Tuesday! She had her 2 week check up on Thursday where we found out that she is already at 9 lb. 1 oz! Like I said, she is healthy and growing strong. Collins continues to sleep most of the time including 5-6 hour spurts at night! When she is awake she is alert and moving! We are so blessed!
