Introducing: Olivia Brooke Birkinshaw

Beautiful Olivia was born on Saturday morning, April 4th at 10:55 a.m.

Julie had her 3 weeks early, and had quite a few scares but everything is fine and Olivia couldn't be more perfect.
She weighs 5 lb. 12 oz. and is 19 inches long

Bonding with baby just after she was born...

i just want to eat her up....
I took this picture just 4 days before Julie delivered. I was telling Julie that she looks sooo good and there is no way that she will have this baby for a few weeks...see how much I know! I thought she needed to look puffy, miserable, and overweight...but she never got to that stage. She looked absolutely beautiful her entire pregnancy. Look at her in this picture! She is so happy and one hot momma!

Me High Now!

I just love this kid! Here is one of my favorite stories that just happened last week:

Theron was telling Nathan that he was leaving for a business trip and going on an airplane. Nathan asked if he could go and Theron told him when he gets bigger he can go on a trip with him. So, Theron came and told me about their conversation and that he can't wait until Nathan is bigger and how fun it would be to take him on a trip.
During this time Nathan went and got his stool, brought it over to our hall mirror and stood on it and said, "See Dad! Me high Now!" He thought he was tall enough to go on a trip with his dad. It made me tear up and just grab him and hug him! Theron's little mini-me will be flying around the country with him before he knows it.

Of course Theron is on a business trip...

This is what happens when Theron leaves town...
Jessica was playing in a basketball game and rolled her ankle, spraining a ligament. It was awful to watch her in so much pain on the court and not being able to do anything. She can't walk on it for a couple days and won't be playing any games till next week...hopefully. We are lucky enough to have a physical therapist at every high school basketball game, so as soon as the injury occured he new everything to do to stop the swelling and to minimize the pain. I was very impressed. Then he told me to take her to his clinic the next day, which I did. I was amazed at the treatment and attention Jessica got as soon as we walked in the door. They had her do exercises to stretch the ligaments and hooked her foot up to electrodes to stimulate it. They are so nice there and we were out in an hour. All free of charge, gotta love that!
Hopefully, it will heal soon because my life revolves around her basketball and I would hate to make other plans on a Friday night...
Theron was so sad for her. The crazy thing is that he has always been on a business trip when one of my kids (Rachel and Jessica) have broken an arm. Between the 2 of them they have broken their arm 6 times....one time with Rachel the doctor said it was the worst break he had ever seen. She actually had to hold her arm together on the way to the doctor because of the break, it was quite the sight! thanks to awesome parents that help out and my neighbor Laura who is always helping me, I made it through yet another injury while Theron was gone.
Moral of story: Theron don't leave us anymore!

LOL

I got a text from Jessica today while she was at school.

It read:

"So is it your fault or dads fault that I can't understand Science?"

That made me laugh so hard! I responded back:

"Definitely Mine!!!"

family photos

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

I sure do love this time of year!
As a family we have a lot of traditions we do in the month of December. Our favorite is to focus on service and helping others that don't have a lot. We went through all of our toys and brought 2 bins full to the D.I. It was a great FHE activity!

This was taken at Wal Mart at the Salvation Army donation spot. Nathan has to put money in every time we go there (which is about every day!) He holds his money in his little hands for hours and is so excited to put it in the bucket. In this photo he has his arms up because he is saying "my money is all gone!"

Another fun tradition we have is going to the Voice Male concert every year. They are an a cappella group that started in Cache Valley and we have been going to their Christmas concerts for years. They really put on a great show and get you in the spirit!

Of course our tradition that we look forward to the most is when my parents deliver the 12 Days of Christmas to us. I can't believe it is already here! They are so cute when they come to our door with all of the gifts and huge smiles.

This year the theme is "Follow The Savior." What a perfect reminder for us everyday to keep in our hearts and minds. My parents put so much time, thought, and prayer into the theme and each gift that is given to us. We are so anxious we can hardly stand it. Like always, Theron has to have the bin with all of the gifts in it next to his side of the bed! He enjoys it just as much as the children do. We sure do love the 12 Days of Christmas!

Theron and Nathan opening up Day #1

And of course we love December because that is when basketball season starts! We are proud to say that Jessica is a starter for the Clearfield Falcons Varsity team! She is doing a great job and is loving every minute of it. Her games are so intense and keeps me jumping and yelling...I love it!

This is a picture of Jessica and some of her teammates posing with the "Brainiac/Hip Hop Wannabe" from High School Musical 1. She was being so sweet and letting lots of girls get their picture taken with her.

Like I said, "It's the most wonderful time of the Year!"

Over the river and through the woods, to grandmothers house we go...

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at Theron's parents house. We got to see his sister Janel, her husband Jon, and their cute baby Ellie. Cousins got to see eachother and have a great time.
You could always find Nathan sneaking and getting some snacks before dinner time.
Therons Aunt Natalie from Moab and friend Virginia came. It was great to see them!
Cathryn, Jessica, me and Janel. the food is almost done...we were all smiles!
A wonderful day...
