In the Bible, there was a young shepherd named David. The Israelites were at war with the Philistines, and their champion, Goliath, was a giant who challenged anyone to fight him. No one dared to face Goliath because he was so tall and mighty.

David, who was just a boy, volunteered to fight Goliath. He trusted in God’s strength, not his own. With a sling and a stone, David struck Goliath on the forehead, knocking him down. Then, David used Goliath’s sword to defeat him completely.
