Nativity Addition

I was walking past our Nativity last night, and realized that we had a new addition!

Let Their Be Cake!

Chad's 32nd Birthday Party was lots of fun! We were excited to have such beautiful weather and were able to be outside.

Airshow!

Max on Chad's shoulders (notice the earplugs)
Max on Daddy's shoulders-notice the fingers in the ears and the earplugs now in the mouth :)

Life is good with ear muffs!
F-16? What F-16?

The airshow was awesome this year! (Aside from the hour and a half it took to actually get into the thing!) Tate and Max were in high flying heaven. They skitted from one plane to the next, shouting most of the time to "look at this!" Justin was terrified at first when a F-16 surprised us. We went directly to the nearest kiosk and got some ear muffs for him which made him much happier. He even fell asleep for a while! The Thunderbirds were of course amazing. We stayed until the very end of the show, and got to see the Thunderbirds land and park. That was one of the neatest parts of the show. It was ceremonial and the groundcrews were all in sync and moved as one to get the planes. We were hoping to hang around to get some pictures of the other planes without people around, but the nice men and women with the camouflage clothes and the multiple guns strapped to their bodies formed a line and ushered all of us stragglers out. Very efficient :)

After the airshow we headed home for pizza and movie with my sister Briana (Top Gun of course!) Great day!

90 Degrees? Bring on the pool!

Hurray for hot spring days! We pulled out the pools, invited the neighbor kids, and had an impromptu beach party!

Cute Tate-ism!

The other night, Tate was getting ready for bed. He was upstairs on the landing, and I was downstairs looking directly up at him. I told him goodnight and blew him a kiss at the same time he blew me a kiss. He started to laugh and exclaimed "Mom! Our kisses crashed!" We had to try again--this time one at a time!

Soccer, Skiing, and Valentine's--Oh my!

Max started soccer on Saturday. He is so excited to have a team full of his friends, and especially that his daddy is the coach!

Tate had a great time enjoying Valentine's Day at school. He even got his first valentine from a cute little girl named Hallie (see below)

Chad and I took Max and Tate skiing for the first time this season. After a bumpy start, they got the hang of things and loved every second.

On Valentine's Day the boys and I decorated cookies. Even Justin got in on the act! (Although he ate most the frosting off of his popsicle stick :) Chad was able to come home early from work, and we all went to the Living Planet Aquarium to visit their new otter exhibit. All three boys loved the otters, and Tate and Max kept telling everyone around them about "those cute little otters." Their favorite part was a little glass hole in the exhibit that lets kids "pop up" so it looks like they are in with the otters. Justin love, love, loved the penguins. He thinks they are so funny, and just laughs at them.

It did finally snow last night! Hurray! The boys are thrilled and have spent a good portion of the day outside. Justin enjoyed his snow inside--it's a lot easier to play with if you're not puffed up like a walking marshmallow in a baby snowsuit!
