It May Not Be My Hip...

But it is my hand. It has been a fear of mine that I will fall on ice and break a bone, mainly my hip. Yes, I did indeed break my hand. How on earth did that happen you are asking yourself?!?! Well, on this "rainy" day I decided to go out and get our mail...next thing I know I am slidin ever so graciously down our porch stairs. I just pray none of my neighbors saw. I hurried, as quickly as you can go on deceiving sheet of ice that is approximately 1/2 inch thick, up the stairs to start crying hysterically. I then texted Daren informing him of what had happened...At this point I did not think it was broken. I text others asking advice, it was really swollen but I couldn't feel anything. Still didn't think anything of it... Took a picture of it. Couldn't really get my hand in any other position but I don't think it even looked THAT bad...

So, we go in...3 xrays later..it is indeed broken!!! Just my luck... It is in a weird place apparently. Daren took the xray with him otherwise I would've posted the actual xray. I have to go get a hard cast on within a week(they better let me pick my color this time!!!!!!)

Once I got to my parents house, Daren drove I am not sure how I am going to drive stick with a crippled hand...typing is hard enough.. but anyways, I learned that Michael and AJ both fell down on the ice. Michael's also caused a bit of an injury(free though...)

Proceed with caution on ice folks!!!

and...yes, for I'm sure not the last time, it is my left hand so I'm not completely screwed....

Not Exactly My Sport...

But I still LOVE the food....
Kelsi's work, ChemDry, is just about the neatest, employee pleasing company I've seen. They do all kinds of nice things for their employees....Lagoon Days, Ski Nights, Movies, and Aggie Basketball games...

Before the game began we went to one of the conference rooms where they had gotten Coppermill to cater a little meal for everyone. Not my kind of food....hence the reason I felt ok about devouring a hotdog...YUM! It was just my dad, AJ, and of course Kelristopher.

I LOVED THE HALFTIME ENTERTAINMENT! It was the "Golden Girls"...a group of 50-92 year old ladies from Provo who like to dance.. They were some of the best shimmiers. They even did the robot. I hope I'm in that kind of shape one day...

Here is a picture of the 92 year old dancing with Big Blue. She ended with the splits but I couldn't get my camera working fast enough to capture that.

And this picture has nothing to do with the basketball game. We went down to Daren's parents this weekend for his cousin, Jake's, wedding. This picture shows you just how cold it was down there.... I thought that was a pretty cool picture I got....

Oh How Things Change

Bostons-2005

Today I received this picture in an email from Andria....I felt I should post it just to show just how different the Boston family is 3 years later. I can't stop laughing!!!

  • You know your little brothers are growing up when they eat food you still choose not to eat...
  • I wish AJ would go back to wearing glasses...however, less lopsided...
  • I think if Michael still were that size he'd still be wearing that dang Mardi Gras shirt...thanks Brian...
  • What on earth is that on Kelsi's foot? Was this another flip flop year?
  • I, unfortunately, don't look any different...At least not to my eye
  • You know your little brothers are growing up when 3 years ago they looked to be the same size but now they weigh almost 100 pounds different!

I love my family!! I know I say this every post....I'm thankful that I'm so close to my siblings.

Doesn't Mikey look SO much better with meat on his bones!?!?!?

Isn't it great being about to have a lot of FFF(forced family fun)?!?! At least we can hang out as a family now!!

Bostons- 2008

...still just as photogenic...

Squinty Eyed McGee and Big Head Boston Syndrome

We finally got the family pictures back! There were over 500 to go through...Most of which did not turn out. Its hard to get all 17 of us smiling with our eyes wide open when its freezing outside! I'm so excited to share these though. I can't wait to get prints so I can put them up on my walls at my house.

Here's me and my husband, Squinty Eyed McGee, I get the one eyed squint so I won't say anything. Daren couldn't apparently see due to the bright snow...
Here are all the Boston siblings in all their glory
Me, Michael, Brian, Kelsi, AJ(on tip toes), and Andria

Here are my wonderful nieces and nephews. These were the most fun pictures to look through. It's a miracle we could get one with all of them looking at the camera. It was good for a lot of laughs while we got them taken though.
Xander, Baby Audrey, Sydney, Kennady, Baby Lillian(finally!) and Avery

Those dang dogs caused me stress! I'm REALLY sad that these didn't turn out wonderful. The more I look at this one the happier I am with the outcome! But with people walking up the stairs next to us they were getting very distracted. Oh well, its better than nothing!

For some reason, who knows why, my brother in law Joe wanted his picture taken with my father. There were some definitely good laugh ones.

Again, I'm so thankful we got to all get together for Christmas and have our pictures taken. I'm sad that my brother and his family live in Philly so I never get to see them! Even with my sister and her family living in Eagle Mountain is too far away.
