I Feel Loved!

I'm an easy girl to please! It's an unfortunate reason why people feel the need to be extra wonderful to me but I'll take it! It's not every day I get flowers so I felt I should post them!! Aren't they pretty? They smelled super wonderful as well. Kelsi and Chris had them sent to me on Thursday afternoon....I almost cried!

Then I got eclairs(my most favoritest treat ever!!) this morning!!! I feel so appreciated. They were from the new hygienst, Siobhan. She got them for many reasons...but the wreck was included in that. Again, how unfortunate but they were super yummy! Too bad I brought celery and grape tomatoes to snack on haha...I can slip every once in awhile right?

I definitely loved getting into my rental car. It's definitely not the PT but I had being dependant on others for a ride to get around. I got myself a Dodge Calibur. I was terrified driving to work this morning, especially THE corner. I didn't know how well it would be with the slick roads. Eh, it wasn't that great I slid a bit. I drove even slower than normal, I'm sure others hated me this morning. But I'm not taking any chances!p.s. I got this picture from a pologamy website apparently...
However, while being without a vehicle on Friday I got a lot of things done! Like finishing the little thing I got from the USU Bid sale. I originally bought this for $5. This was the thing Daren MOCKED me for even spending $5 on! He made me worried that perhaps it really wouldn't turn out good. But don't underestimate me! I think it turned out really good. The hardest part was definitely putting it all back together.

BEFORE

I think Daren finally got it, that I do know what I'm doing when I purchase some nasty thing that I can turn it into something beautiful. I ended up only spending about $15 dollars on the door knobs and paint/primer. So is this thing worht $20 bucks to you? Cause I sure think so!!

It's Official...I Hate The Freaking Ice!

That's right...I already hated the ice due to the broken hand 2 months ago. But now I'm officially over the ice. As I was driving to work this morning...SLOWLY...I rolled the car off the side of the road. I hate that PT cruiser. Why did I ever wish to get that car? The amounts of problems it has brought upon me. Money has been foolishly spent on that car. And now this! I'm not sure if we're going to even waste fixing it or if we'll just buy me a new car. As much as a car payment terrifies me, that dang vehicle has caused me nothing but trauma.

Ok, ok. I can't take it all out on that car. That car brought me much enjoyment. If I do get rid of it I will have a hard time saying goodbye.

Alright, so yes the road had an inch or so of ice, I wouldn't have thought so until I had to walk from cop car to cop car in my heels. But I still was driving with extra cautious and no more than like 2 blocks away from my house, I started sliding. At that moment I was trying to think back to when I learned how am I suppose to handle the car while it's sliding...? Now, I know...simple answer. Not when you're under pressure. But it was so slow motion and I just watched it all happen so peacefully. I ended up crawling out of my sunroof. A very nice guy(I think I grew up with his son....) let me sit in his car until the cops came since it's FREEZING! I was staying super strong and wasn't in tears, just shaking really bad. Daren came, pretty unhappily, and sat with me. The cop gave me a freaking ticket saying I drove too fast. Oh hell, whatever. Bring it on, what other crap could possibly be thrown at me.

I tried to get pictures but naturally, when the guy asked me to get my insurance and registration out of the car I left my phone in the car. Therefore, we had to go to JC Auto and pick up my phone, ipod, and keys. Stupid me. But I feel it's ok cause clearly I'm not in the right state of mine currently.

Well, I'm at work now....calming down. I was covered in mud so I changed into an old pair of scrubs...and Crystal's shoes. Thanks Crystal(even though I'm almost certain you don't care since you're HAVING YOUR BABY RIGHT NOW!!!) my muddy heels and these scrubs just wouldn't go well together.

Lame Update

I seriously have nothing fun to blog about. I've been stretching my imagination over what could be a nice post. Nothing. Here are a few facts or thoughts I've had over the past few weeks....
  • All I want to eat lately is cheese and apples. Preferably sharp cheddar but I seriously will take any type. I'm thinking this is my lack of healthy snack knowledge. My version of a snack is doritos and EL fudge cookies...not helping when I'm seriously motivated by my BodyBugg to lose massive amounts of weight. I feel I have lost some but it's not showing on the scale so I think I'm trying even harder. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated.
  • If your dog has an upset stomach and going #2 is just dreadful, thanks to Kelsi, I learned you feed them pumpkin puree. It was almost a miracle it just kicked right in and was not so bad.
  • I need warmer weather, it has been nice, I'm not complaining. I just hope to start working on the yard(more rocks maybe...) this weekend. Keep your fingers crossed for me(us really...)
  • If you're not a patient don't call up the dental office and yell at the poor (apparently little) receptionist. Most likely the problem was not caused by her. She has done all she can. Anyone who wants to hear this story in the entirety I will be more than happy to share it. Dang John Arnold(I can say his name with disgust since he's not under the HIPPA law...)
  • We're still just working away at getting more house decorated. I don't know why I care so much but I do. Ok, really Daren could careless...he just wants no more holes in the wall(YEAH RIGHT....) I can't wait to post pictures of my latest fix me up, once it's complete. Daren is doubting my wonderful skills...pshh yeah right, I'm pretty much just awesome.
  • One of my biggest pet peeves, as my family pointed out yesterday I have a lot of them and I won't deny it I do, is when doing work out videos(yes, I'm a huge fan of lame workout videos!) and they say their left when really if you're mirroring them it should be their right? Does that make sense? You know no one is following which hand you're really saying they mirror what you do. Nevermind it's confusing you I'm sure...just know it pisses me off.
  • I bought my first indoor plant this weekend. I really hope I can keep it alive! I've been dying to get one but have been nervous how the dogs will treat it. As usual, Kona could careless but Meli definitely had a bite or two. Dang dogs.

Well, I better stop. I could go on and on but the way this day is headed, and yes it's only 9:30... I'm thinking I'm going to be having a horrible, no good, very bad day.

4 Years, Holy Cow!

Can you believe today is my 4 year anniversary? Working for my dad that is. Whoa, who would have ever thought I'd still be here. Things have definitely changed since my first days here. I'm ever so happy here. I really love working with my dad.

Here is a picture of the staff that was here when I first started. It's not very accurate because there was a girl working here a few days with me but then left. But without those first few girls I worked with I wouldn't know half of the things I knew today. The picture is actually from a few months after working there when the office went to Vegas(no, it wasn't a good time... cat fights!)

Then after the total transition of all of the above ladies...Was when I really found my groove at the office. I've loved working with the girls that have been there for the past 2 years.

Here are pictures from when my dad got the brillant idea to take us bowling blindfolded
He's the one who fell and hurt himself a little

They even got me to dress up for Halloween....
Then there was the excellent trip to California

Crystal, I really miss you! I'm a total cheese ball I know...but seriously!
Crystal unfortunately is off having her baby so we are once again in the middle of another transition.
And of course none of this would be possible with out this stunner.

Dad, thanks for putting up with me and my stubbornish in the office!! I'm a pretty fabulous worker, if I do say so myself. Let's put another 4 years in! Hopefully I'll still be here if and when Brian comes and takes over. He'd be crazy not to because I could teach him EVERYTHING... well besides the actual dental side of things!

Happy Tax Return Season!

Well, for those of you out there who end up getting money back...not for those who have to pay, I'm deeply sorry! Anyways, as most of you know, I've been in a decorating mood as of late. So what better way to top off my bedroom then buy a nice gigantic king sized bed. Ahhh....sounds wonderful doesn't it. So that's exactly what I bought...

I only bought the mattress set because I am an impulse buyer...but I knew it'd take some time to find the perfect frame. So that can wait but the king sized bed could not. IT IS FREAKING HUGE! Many people when I said that's what I wanted they acted shocked that I didn't like to get up close and personal with my husband while sleeping. Hello, he shakes all night...This is definitely the best thing for us. It was quite nice having my space last night.

Now, the unfortunate thing is Daren thought it was only fair(I still don't get the fairness but hey it works I guess) that he gets to buy this gun. No the following picture is not the actual gun it hasn't come in yet but I think that's what it will be. Totally awesome...I hate guns!

However, I won't get too upset cause my really awesome Daren built me these shelves. I had to wait pretty patiently, and get woken up at 2 am to him sanding, painting, hammering, etc.. But I think they turned out so great! I love them. And I have to give a big shout out to my sister in law, Keera. She made me those tiles that say Gordon. Hopefully she's going to be starting up an Etsy store to sell them.

On a completely different note, Chelsea and I went and tried the new frozen yogurt place, Tummi Yummi's. I was getting all chummy with Nate Harris, one of the owner's who played basketball first for my brother in law Joe. But then later for the Aggies. He also knows my husband, but really Daren's brother Eric. It was delicious! The peanut butter swirled with the cookies and cream made my day complete yesterday. What a crappy day until I had a taste of that wonderful goodness. Thanks Chels for trying it out with me!
