The Countdown Is On...

My child will be 1 year old.
My Hudson is going to be a 1 year old.
I'm in disbelief, can you tell? 29 days and my baby is no longer a baby.
Approximately 29 more days and I will get the boy his first hair cut.
Silly, I know, I just wanted to wait until at least 1 year to cut it.
He cute curls are to die for, but his straggly hair over his ears drives him crazy I can tell.
We got him his big boy car seat.  Don't let his picture fool you,
it's just the flash he likes to cheese for, he actually was upset to get in it,
and continues to be every time it's time to go.
One thing he is loving these days is the echo from the garage when it is time to leave the house. I really hope the neighbors can hear him screaming cause I think it is hysterical!
You know what he doesn't love lately? Life.
He has been super grouchy these days. It doesn't take much to set him off.
Thankfully, in the same regards, it doesn't take much to get him laughing again.
I'm blaming sleep.  Let's hope it gets figured out soon for everyone's sanity.
He finds comfort in his blanket.
I never thought he'd have a blanket.  I didn't have one growing up so I was shocked
the day he latched onto that blanket and wouldn't let go.
It goes where Hudson goes.

11 MONTHS:
  • Hudson loves mom and mom only these days.  It is very apparent he is not going to leave my arms for just anyone.  Sometimes I can throw "the blanket" to who ever and it softens the blow and he realizes he'll be ok.
  • He has 4 teeth and I think they are adorable! But he is trying them out too much on my arms and shoulders.  I currently have one large bruise and quite a few little red marks(that last for days) from him.  Little stinker.
  • He does love bath time.  He always is ready to jump in, clothed still, while I'm getting it all ready.
  • He has way more "tricks" than the dogs.  He is a smart little cookie.  He claps, blows kisses (which is actually not blowing a kiss, it's something else but I don't know how to explain it) waves hello and goodbye, pulls his "Kelsi" face routinely, "touchdown/so big"
  • He started to actually crawl instead of just pull himself around this past week.  He still occasionally goes down and pulls himself, especially on a slick surface.  If he gets going to quick during his crawl he actually will do a face plant because his legs are moving quicker than his arms.
  • He has taken a few steps, walking back and forth between Daren and I.  It's more from Daren to me, again the stranger danger being a big factor.  I don't think he will walk alone anytime soon.  But he has probably taken like 3 steps at a time.
  • The boy loves food.  I only know when he isn't happy cause he won't eat.  He has learned to crawl to the cupboard where the veggie straws are and pulls them out.  He doesn't really love to eat "slimy" finger foods... bananas, avocado, mac & cheese.. but will eat them if spoon fed.
  • Hudson loves his Barney DVD.  I have it memorized.  But I love the break and I love how he dances.
  • Speaking of dancing. He rocks out all the time! In the car, when a commerical comes on, to his Barney.  Seriously, any song, he's dancing.
  • He has taken a liking to the dogs. He loves all animals lately.I'm still pretty sure he will say Kona or Meli long before he decides to say mama. He still says dada all day long. :(
Love him to pieces! 29 days please go slowly.  I want to soak up all my baby. But the next 29 days, if all goes according to plan, will be fun! We've got a little trip planned and it will be so wonderful to get away!
