Kelsi's Baby Shower

 My sister, Kelsi, is having a baby.  After her throwing me a wicked awesome baby shower before Huddy's grand arrival..  Andria and I took on the challenge to throw a wicked awesome one back right at her. Many (and I do mean MANY) months ago I began thinking up what I could do to out do the shower Kelsi had for me.  Thank heavens for pinterest because it helped out A LOT.  But it all had to start with which direction we were going to go.  As soon as I saw a tea party themed party I knew that was it! My grandmother Boston gave Kelsi and I some china a couple of years ago and we had always joked about what on earth we could do with it.  Well, I figured that out now didn't I?!  I think one of the best parts of the whole planning was that Kelsi wasn't allowed to know the theme of the party because she would start helping plan the whole thing (or get ideas in her head and be let down)  I really don't think the party could have turned out any better, if I do say so myself.
Now, since I am obsessed with food and overly critical of food given at a party, I tackled the menu first.  I'm sorry if you follow me on instagram because I really did become obsessed with my croissants.  I made my own croissants! I am a believer.  They are the most delicious croissants I have ever tasted in my entire life.  It is a three day process but it's TOTALLY doable!  Try them, they won't disappoint.
 Next was the pink cupcakes. I got the brillant idea from pinterest to bake them in the little paper ketchup cups because they hold their own shape so you can just make them on a baking sheet all at once.  BRILLANT! Also, I made some purple sugar to sprinkle on the top.  My, my, my...I'm good aren't I? {Humble too}

 I even made my own buttermints
 Everyone got their own tiara! I had the best time planning and getting ready for this shindig.

I believe the guests all had a really good time as well.  Now, next thing I'm looking forward to is baby girl actually making her arrival!

Summer

I can't believe summer is coming to an end.  I am nervous about what life will be like in the winter with a very active little boy. I hope I can grow to love snow more because I'm sure in no time I will be spending a majority of my time out in it.

I think Hudson is at an age that is incredibly fun (I think I have said this before) but seriously, the past few weeks have been hilarious with my little man.  He is very interactive.  He has a reaction for every thing that is said.

 He knows what he wants (most of the time...we still have those times where he's frustrated just to be frustrated) like wanting crushed ice for dinner.
 He has started to "read" to me.  I absolutely could eat him up most days.

 He LOVES being outside.  Hudson knows when the word outside is said and will run to the nearest door.  He hunts bugs.... grabs rocks.... puts his hands in the dirt.  Hudson is all boy. It freaks me out but I surprisingly was catching some of the bugs along with him(SHOCK!)

 One of the best "play pens" in the world is our tiny little deck.  He sits for HOURS during the day out there.  With his "ca"(car)
 If we're not out on the deck we're riding our bike to play at the park near our house.  We even attempted to find a different park within riding distance....it let to no where. Oh well, I guess the short bike ride is fine.

 Brushing his "te" is another thing he really likes doing. I won't complain.  It may not be the best job but as long as he cooperates and lets me help for a little while we're good!

However, I complained about him getting sick on our vacation.  Little did I know it would prepare me for the saddest night we've had.  He woke up with a 103 temp. at 2 am.  It was devastating. And since then we've both still had the sickies.  One day they'll go away!

 Overall, I believe I have the happiest kid in the world.  He's entertaining, sweet, and loveable. I tried to post a video of him saying his favorite saying "Good girl"  But it wouldn't work.  He talks so much these days.  His newest words are hello and Chris. I can't even keep track of how many words he knows....he has A LOT! Guess he's a chatty like his mama.
