Christmas Eve

Minus the sleep loss that occured from our trip to Idaho we had an enjoyable time. We were glad that we got to see everybody for a short visit. Here are some fun pictures of the day.

All of the Grandchildren and Robin.

A special delivery Thanks to Santa and Steve.

Everyone enjoying the new davenport.

Another LARGE PRESENT! Or so we thought.

Aunt Omi giving rides.

Grandma and Grandpa leaving so I can't take any pictures with her in it. We were glad we got to spend some time with them and have an enjoyable meal.

The two hardworking YOUNG ADULTS.

Both left work to eat and spend time with us then had to go back at it.

Christmas Newsletter

Gordon Koyle Family 2009

Greetings to you all from Heyburn, Idaho!
We are counting our blessings, including our friends and family. We do not always get around to sending Christmas cards but that does not mean you are forgotten. We love and appreciate you all and we are thankful for your unconditional love and support. We are celebrating the fact that we have had a much better year.

Gordon hurt his back in July of 2007 and needed back surgery- because of a mis-diagnosis and an insurance fiasco which we will not detail here-we waited a whole year without him working and without him having surgery. In June of 2008 he had a successful back surgery and got his back fused. He recovered well. Now he is good to go for awhile. He still cannot sit for long periods or lift more than 25 pounds but we are pleased with the results. This last fall he was out doing yard work, etc. In January of this year Gordon completed a CDL course and got his CDL-A license. He is now driving school bus and enjoys it. He serves as the High Priest Group Leader in our ward.

In June of this year our ward boundaries were changed in our stake and Sandra was released as ward Relief Society President and is currently enjoying the challenge of being the Primary Nursery Leader. During the week she works part time for the school district as a Preschool Aide. She works with children because they are much easier to please than adults and they make her feel young. She also agrees with a quote on Lawna’s blog that says:
"Surround yourself with sinless people--associate with children as often as you can."~Mary Ellen Edmunds

Tolleys: Lawna is busy being MOM to Carter (6), Malia(3) and Collin (1 ½). She is expecting number 4 child in March. Karson is working as produce manager at Albertson’s in Burley.

Andersons: In June, Robin & Corey moved from Roosevelt, Utah to Midvale, Utah. Corey is working at LDS hospital in the ICU. Robin tries to keep up with our very smart and fast granddaughter Adelynn (2).

Greens: Eileen quit her job and is babysitting a little one at her home. She is expecting number 2 child in March. She and Makayla (3) stay busy tending the baby and going to preschool. Derek works for the Post Office in American Fork, Utah.

Layne (22) graduated from College of Southern Idaho with an associate degree in Business Management. He got a transfer scholarship to Utah State University in Logan and moved there in August. At Thanksgiving time he took a trip to New Mexico to visit friends he made on his mission.

Ethan (19) graduated from Minico High School and is attending College of Southern Idaho and working at a furniture store.

Kristen (16) is a junior at Minico High School and is working on getting a CNA license by the end of the school year. She works at the Gossner Cheese Chalet.

We had a good time this last fall watching Naomi (13) at her volleyball games. She is in 8th grade at West Minico Middle School. She has braces on her teeth and she has grown into a lovely young lady.

Brittana is in 2nd grade at the brand new Heyburn Elementary school just blocks from our home. We enjoyed watching her play Kiwanis soccer last fall. She turned 8 years old in August and was baptized and confirmed on Labor Day weekend. We had our picture taken that day when all 18 of us were together.

We are thankful to our Heavenly Father for all of our bounteous blessings especially the gift of our Savior Jesus Christ.
Merry Christmas and Happy 2010!

Shower

Our shower it works great. Hallelujah! I never thought the day would come. I always thought I would have to wait until I moved out to shower. The marble goes from the top of the tub to the to the ceiling. No more yellow rusty bathtub.

Homecoming

For our day date we went t0 the wind caves in the middle of no where. It actually was the funnest part of the whole day. For dinner we went to Brown's ( the shop teacher at Minico) house and had some chinese food.
I remember going to the wind caves with Layne and Angela. Her car got stuck in the mud and we actually never ended up going inside to far because i don't think we had flashlights. I was glad we went prepared with water, flashlights, rope, and sweatshirts. If we wouldn't have had our rope then we would of become so lost. We went in one big circle and didn't even know it until we saw our rope.

Me and my date
Brittana decided to dress up because i was. So she had Naomi curl her hair and she found an old crosage in our closet.

Naomi's Volleyball Game

When we got there, Naomi was being the line judge for the 7th grade game.
I thought these two pictures I took during warm-ups turned out cool:
On to the game against Wood River
Karson says Naomi thought she was playing football for a while:
West Minico won!

Mom's Birthday

(this is for Kristen and Naomi too, because they were at Girls' Camp)
We went to wish Mom Happy Birthday and Joey Adams was there to put horses in the pasture. He asked who wanted to ride. Malia didn't want to have anything to do with the horse, she wouldn't even touch it.
Brittana has the wave down, just like a rodeo princess
Carter surprised us by getting on too. He was nervous, but the peer pressure won out.
There are so many weeds that the horses thought they'd died and gone to heaven.
Here's the birthday girl dishing up her vanilla chocolate chip cake (because she couldn't find the chocolate pudding).
Grandma and Grandpa stopped by.
Heyburn has a new 4-way stop and 15 mph zone by the new school. We would have driven right through it if there hadn't been vehicles in front of us.
