Carter's Baptism

I stole these off Mom's Camera. I know that Robin wasn't there and she would want to see them.

Bloomington Lake Campout and Hike

So, Layne decided to do a camp-out down in South-Eastern Idaho for an end of the summer outing and celebration of his official graduation from Utah State!

Mom and the three younger girls (Kristen, Naomi, and Brittanna) all decided to go.

Layne's friend Leslie decided to come too!
If you look carefully, you can see the parking lot at the bottom where we started at!
Boom, Boom, Firepower! -This was the alter/sign holder that was supposed to have a sign on it for the lake; so we ended up taking a small detour before finding the right trail!
The Beautiful second lake with snow in mid-August!

This is the first lake!

Mom was going to attempt the 5 mile hike that went from the Willow Flats campground at aprox. 6,000 Ft. Elevation and then went up to an 8,000 Ft, elevation near Bloomington lake. However, after about two minutes of hiking, she decided she's turn around and drive Layne's vehicle to the lake on the other side of the mountains to pick up the hikers. Thank goodness for that; because we were pooped!

Car Show

Craig had his car in the local car show the other night. We had fun going through and looking at all the really cool cars that people have either taken good care of, have restored, or are in the process of restoring.

When I saw this one it looked awfully familiar.

This is a 1955 FORD Fairlane. Dad's was a 1956; and pink and white, not green.

It is in it's original state. Someone took really good care of it.

They even had fun dressing it up with a fast food tray, and some coke products inside.

Then we went around finding our favorite car.

This would be my favorite one if only it was a convertible.

Makayla found her's white leather seats and all. Behind this car was a mini trailor that had a mini soap box replica of this car on it.

This was Derek's, but he thought it was stupid to pose. It is a 1967 GTO, just like his dad's, but red, and a convertible top.

We found this one for Robin and Corey. There were about 6 of these in the show and people had a lot of fun deckin them out. Check out the carpet on the doors and walls. This one even had a flat screen, and the original sales reciept for $2,649.00 back in 1966.

Mom's Birthday

Earlier in the week Mom had told me, "I want a watermelon for my birthday." So we made sure she had one.
She talked to her away kids on the phone.
She made cupcakes for the kids who were there.

Then we went to visit Grandma Koyle for her birthday.

Later that night, Mom and the girls came over to Tolley's to watch "Expedition Impossible".

"True Canadian"

Ethan was getting the "real Canadian experience" by playing street hockey with some other missionaries at a park near his house. He took a stick to the face and split open his upper lip and had to get 4 stitches.

He said, "So now I am a true Canadian, I got my first hockey wound haha."
"Now I don't know if people are looking at me funny because of the name tag or the scar on my face :)."

He was a little worried that he will have a scar. I think it will look like he had a cleft lip. Maybe he can be a movie star like Joaquin Phoenix ;-)
