Happy NEW Year!!!

IT'S NEW YEAR'S EVE!!! Right, I'm just stating the obvious :) As I'm typing this post right now, I'm out on the porch/balcony or whatever you call it sipping hot chocolate and listening to Christmas music by Kenny G and the laughters of my family. It's hard to really type this as I'm constantly distracted and I can't help but join in on their silly jokes and comments. Everyone's in such a relaxed mood with the sea breeze blowing and all.

At first, dad said he wanted to bring us out for a New Year's Eve dinner because he was too lazy to cook. In case you're wondering, mum does cook a lot too but when dad's around and free, he'd be the chef cos that what he enjoys doing (and we truly enjoy savoring it too hehe). At the last minute he changed his mind and said he'd prepare a simple meal so that we could just simply relax and enjoy each other's company without the hassle of dressing up, driving to the place and all...well, you get my point.

The meal was almost done when Dan decided to have it out at the huge balcony overlooking the ocean.

Isn't the view just lovely?

The tables and chairs all set up by Dan :)

The Chef. My dad's just super darn cute laaa! Haha

His best friend.

Moozic!

Yep, tat's my bro =)

The Everything.

Take 2: Them showing their true sides.

Awww i just love them soo much!

Stop drooling, you.

Can you spot the bright shining moon? :)

I was the last one to finish as usual heh

The moon reminds me of a saying, If one life shines, the life next to it will catch its light.

What better way to spend the last day of the year and to celebrate the coming of a new one with your loved ones?
2009 has been a really meaningful and eventful year for me. Fears conquered, circumstances overcame, bonds strengthened and many lessons learnt through some not so good times.
As cliche as it may sound, do count your blessings. You may not realise just how blessed you truly are till you do so.
I can't wait for 2010 and for the plans God has for me to unfold in the coming new year. Draw me nearer, Lord. Catch hold of my wandering heart. Guide me and use me as You've intended me to be.
May this coming new year be the best one yet for all of you out there. HAPPY NEW YEAR and God bless!

2010 is just around the corner. Are you excited? :)

The First

Remember

...the first impression?
...the first thing I said to you?
...the first time we really get to know each other?
...the first time we actually spoke face to face?
...the first date?
...the stuff and the places we tried and went for the first time?
...the first time you held my hand?
...the first movie?
...the first dance?
...the first trip we made together?

There are many more 'firsts' and many more to come. I remember each of them and am thankful for every firsts. After all, the first only leads to the second and more.

Happy 1st Monthniversary, darling... and many more to come.

Kek Lok Si

As I've blogged about earlier in my previous post, Junie and her friends came to Penang for a holiday trip. We decided to meet at the Kek Lok Si Temple, a famous Penang tourism spot. My best friend was kind enough to drive and keep me company the whole trip. Well, Junie came with her huge group of friends (18 people) and I couldn't possibly steal her away from them and her precious boyfriend right =)

Here's a glimpse of him.

And that's me camwhoring as usual

Ayer Itam's famous laksa. I took lots of silly photos of him eating but I decided not to post it up for my own safety purposes.

Si Ko Th'ng

Our friend Wilson joined us shortly after that. He hasn't been to Kek Lok Si for a very long time and he wasn't able to join our last visit here during CNY. Kek Lok Si looks really different during CNY night. The lanterns and the lights surrounding the temple could really mesmerize you.

Photos from CCB's camera:
Pretty, rite? :)

.........................................................................................................................................................

Wilson the monkee has a certain fondness towards my handbag.
Oh btw, you'll know why we call him monkee soon enough.

Told ya he loves my bag

CCB bought a sword when we passed the street market while climbing up the staircase to the temple. Gosh that guy... Smart enough to park at the bottom of the hill and made me climbed up flights of steps in my sundress. Halfway up the stairs I asked him if there were any carparks at the top. He was like, "Ohyea... why didn't I just drive up and park there?" Thanks, Beng, thanks.

We don't call him 'bamboo' for no reason

The gay partners in their couple tee :D

Have you seen anything more look alike than these two??
So now you know =)

Okay, this is Monkee's way of taking revenge.
-Spot Junie and her friends on the left-

He just wouldn't let me take a front pic of the piggy's face

Finally, a picture of me and Junie. Isn't she pretty? Well, we had other pictures together too but they're in her camera.

They look so cute together!

Jokes aside, I really love these 2 friends. You know where you get this feeling that some friends are jz gonna stick with you till the end? Well, they're one of those friends. Sure, they tease and bully me a lot but they're those kinda friends where you know you could always count on.

After the trip, Junie and her friends wanted us to take them for the famous Sisters Char Koay Teow. But due to some reason silly reasons (which got her kinda annoyed) they couldn't make it in the end.
Monkee then had a craving for the Teochew Cendol somewhere near Campbell Street. So, the three of us drove all the way to town for it. The traffic jam was pretty bad. The things we Penanites would do for food... unbelievable.

The long line of people queing up for the cendol. If it wasn't due to the fact that it was almost closing time when we got there, the line of people would be much longer and the street would be filled with people holding bowls of cendol in their hands.

Had a really great time hanging out with these peeps. Monkee's flying back to India this Saturday. CCB's going back to KL soon too. Will blog about our next outing soon, if I'm patient enough. Blogger's been really mean to me. Takes me hours just to upload all these photos. Till then.
:)
