The Rest of the Story...

Well, I already posted updates on Kaitlyn and Sarah, but I guess I forgot about the rest of us. We have all been very busy. Jay received another award at the Awards Assembly this week. He was honored for being a good citizen at school. Jay walks home from school most days and so he has taken it upon himself to stay after and help his teacher set up the classroom for the next day. She thinks he is very helpful and has good manners.

Marcus just started his new position with the county. He is still on patrol, but now he is exclusively a traffic deputy. He was given a brand new Dodge Charger (I made a mistake and posted Avenger earlier and was severly reprimanded for it. Sorry, it is a Charger NOT an Avenger) and will be going to some additional training classes. He is very excited.

I am still in my student teaching. It's been going very well. Middle schoolers are interesting to say the least, and I had forgotten how dramatic life can be. But all in all, it's been pretty fun.

Well, that should catch everyone up on the rest of us.

Sarah's Birthday

My little Sarah Bear turned 5 on the 8th. I can't believe she's this big. Her favorite presents were the Arial quilt she was given by her Grandma Jensen and her new jewelry box with the dancing ballerina from her Grandma Graham. We didn't do a big party, just cake and presents with family, but I think she had a lot of fun.
Here is a little clip from her birthday song.

Sarah is a very special girl. For those of you that don't know, she is our miracle baby. She was born only 4 lbs 10 oz, but although she was small she was full of fire from the start. She has never ceased to amaze us and we couldn't love her more. Sarah has more trials on a daily basis than most, but you wouldn't know it. She is a real fighter and literally knows how to get right back up when you've been knocked down. Sarah is an inspiration and my hero. I am so grateful to my Heavenly Father for blessing my life with her sweet spirit and our family with her dynamic personality. We love you Sarah!

Cute Baby Update

This is a cute picture of my little baby. She was getting bundled up for a walk outside with Aspen (our dog) and Dad. They had a blast. This is how I found my baby a couple of weeks ago. I knew it was too quiet. I went looking for her. This was the first time she was in the flour. I was able to laugh it off and take this "cute" picture. However, after she had done this four times, I wasn't laughing anymore. Oh well, she's only 1 once.

Sorry that I have not been updating like I use to. Life has been very busy lately. I will hopefully get caught up in the next week or so. So check us out soon, Heidi.

Christmas Eve Jammies

Another tradition we have started is that the kids get to open one present on Christmas Eve. They haven't caught on yet, but it's always pajamas. Jay and Sarah in Christmas Jammies.
Kaitlyn in her Christmas Jammies. Kaitlyn also got the giraffe slippers. We couldn't resist when we saw them. She went straight to bed on Christmas Eve so this picture was taken Christmas morning.
I always like to hear about other people's traditions. Please leave a comment telling me about yours. Or, if you have a blog, post it. I can't wait to hear. Maybe it will be one we adopt.

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve we made cookies for Santa. Here are some pictures of the kids frosting and decorating their cookies. Grandma Graham and Dad (Marcus) were in charge. As you can see, everyone had fun.
The final product. I'm sure Santa was more than pleased.

Christmas Eve night my sister Lisa was gracious enough to host a party for all of us at her home. There were a lot of us there and good times were had by all. Here are Lisa and I towards the end of the night.

Jay and Sarah getting ready for games.

Papa getting cuddled. Kaitlyn does not like to share her Papa.

The kids playing games.

Mom and Grandma Graham playing with Kaitlyn.

Papa getting in on the action. If you rolled 7 you had to put on these clothes and unwrap a gift. Papa was lucky enough to roll a 7 every turn.

My mom and mother-in-law taking it all in.

Marcus and Kaitlyn looking cute.

Lisa, it was so wonderful of you to have us all over. We had a lot of fun and the memories will last forever. Next year, Mom and Dad's.

2008 Gingerbread House

We made our gingerbread house for this year on the 23rd. We waited a little longer than usual so that we could share the fun with Judy, Marcus's mother. The kids had a blast. Here are some pics from the night o' fun.

This is one of our family traditions. We buy the kits from the store so that all of the hard parts are already done and we just get to decorate and have fun.
