Reagan's 2nd Christmas

We just got back from Oregon, and we had a whole lot of fun!!!! It was great to be back there to see all of our family and friends. We started off in Eugene, and then made our way to Glide, and then to Redmond, to stay at Eagle Crest for the week. We had an adventure on the way there. It was snowy and icy on the pass to Redmond, and our car did 360's in the middle of the road and into on coming traffic. Lucky for us Grandpa was driving and saved our lives, but we did end up in a ditch and needed to be towed out! Reagan was a real trooper throughout the whole time. I had a slight heart attack, feeling completely helpless for Reagan, but it turned out all right.
So when we got to Eagle Crest we did a lot of eating, swimming (hot tubs and pools), shopping, and playing. Reagan wasn't too into opening presents. She found her sweet Radio Flyer tricycle that was hid under the pillows and pretty much played on that the whole morning. Here are some pictures from our trip.
While we were in Glide, Reagan found the piano and I think that she is going to take after her mom.

Reagan also got a sweet riding toy from my parents, but we have misplaced those photo's, so they will be coming soon! We hope everyone had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Sweater Party

Nick and I threw a Christmas Sweater Party this last weekend. We had an awesome time, and glad that people showed up. I was a little disappointed that I couldn't find a sweater with blinking lights. I couldn't believe how hard it was to find one. I finally realized that the department stores are the place to go. I was also surprised how much the dept. stores charged so I settled for a nice long sleeve shirt. I will be on the hunt the day after Christmas for the sales to get a good sweater for next year.
We had some surprise visitors at our party too! John, Stephanie, and Jackson had a layover in Vegas on Thursday night, and their flight was canceled so they were able to stay with us and stay for the party. It was awesome. Also our good friends from St. George, Jared and Teresa, came with their kids as well. It was good times. Here are some pictures from the festivities.

This is the table that I stood by most of the night!

We of course had Christmas music playing and since Reagan loves to dance, she had to find a dance partner. So she picked one of her boyfriends Easton. They danced pretty good then Easton realized what was going one. She tried to get the other kids to dance with her, but ended up dancing by herself.

And here are the winners of the best sweaters- The Bringhursts!

Thanks for everybody that came!

Cooking with Mom

So Reagan and I decided to make some brownies today. She had a really good time, here are some pictures of our afternoon. The reason she doesn't have a shirt on, is she had just finished lunch and refuses to wear a shirt when she eats!

And to wash it down with some milk!

Reagan's First Real Haircut

So Reagan has always had a lot of hair, so we decided that it was time to get a real haircut, not just a trim in the back. There is an awesome girl in our ward that cuts hair so I took her over there. Reagan was really tired so she was a little scared, but she made it. She had to sit on my lap, and she wouldn't let her put the cape over her, but it turned out great. We have been letting her bangs grow out, that is why it is long in her eye. She has a natural side part, so we are eventually going for a side parted bob. Here is what it looks like. It isn't too much different expcet for the back, which I think makes her look like such a big girl. Nick was afraid we wouldn't be able to do pigtails anymore but we can :)

She was really happy about this one...

They aren't the best pictures, because she was moving all around like a crazy woman, but it at least gives you an idea!

So they convinced me...

So I was out with Emily and Alison yesterday, and they convinced me to let everyone know that Nick and I are expecting our second kid! I am not one to just bring it up in conversation or one to announce it, but they said I had to because they hate guessing or asking somebody if they are. I wanted to just pin a little sign on my tummy that says I am not getting a little pudgy, I am just a little pregnant, but I thought this would be better. So the baby is due May 21st. (the best day of the year according to Emily since it's her b-day!) so that makes me 16 weeks. It is crazy to think we are going to have 2 kids, but we are really excited. If I had a scanner I would scan in the ultrasound picture in, but I don't, so the pic is what it looks like now. We find out in a couple of weeks the sex, so I will keep you guys posted.

Thanksgiving Fun

Well we had a fun Thanksgiving this year. It was the first time that both Nick and I didn't spend it with family. We realized that we have spent the past 6 years of Thanksgiving at the Graham's in Glide, and I realized it has been 8 or 9 years since I have spent it with my family!!!!! We are going to have to change that soon. Anyway we still had lots of fun and yummy food.
We had a packed day. We first went to the park and the dog park. Reagan usually loves the park, but all she wanted to do was go to the dog park. So we walked over to it and watched Maverick and Nick in the park and Reagan and I sat on the outside watching them. She just kept saying Doggie, Doggie, over and over, she was sooo happy. Here are a couple of pictures from our morning. Remember it was early and I didn't do Reagan's hair :)

Then we ate and ate! It was so good. This was Reagan when she heard how much food there was going to be.

One of the things I made was the mashed potatoes. I didn't even get these from Idaho. I told Reagan to lift with her legs. She told me they were really heavy.

She is a funny one...

So Reagan has never really used a binky, passy, fra fra, whatever you would like to call it :) She sucks her thumb when she is tired but that is about it. Well now her 2 friends, Easton and Emery, both occasionally use them, and Reagan will throw a fit if she can't have one when they have one. I am not too worried, she usually puts it in her mouth like this.

She always has it in upside down, sideways, she hardly has it in right. I am not too worried, she doesn't really suck on it, she just wants to fit in!

Happy Halloween!

So we had a fun filled Halloween week. We had parties, trunk or treats, and Halloween Day of course! Reagan had fun in her elephant costume, and I think she was the cutest elephant I have ever seen. I have given up on trying to get pictures of her at this age :) We went to our ward trunk or treat and Reagan wasn't too into going from car to car, but she really like handing out the candy from our car. It was really cute, when a kid would say trick or treat, she would say it back and give them candy. By the end of the night she was saying it really clear! Of course she would only give them to the kids in cute, not scary costumes. The scary costumes were left for Nick and me.
Then on Halloween we decided not to go trick or treating because she wasn't too into it, so we put her in her costume and she handed out candy to all of our trick or treaters. I tried to put on some scary Halloween music, but she told me no no no. Apparently it was too scary. She had a really good time this Halloween!

Her trying to run away! She could swing all day!

Just a little preview

So since I am such a good mom, I waited until this Saturday to get Reagan's Halloween costume. I thought that she was going to end up being something weird because nothing would be left, because I waited so long. There were a million really cute fairies and princess costumes left, and I know that she will probably want to be one from ages 3-7, so I decided against it. Then I found this really cute elephant costume. I was afraid it would be too boyish, but when I got it home and on Reagan, Nick and I couldn't stop laughing. She was soo cute. So here is a little preview of this Halloween. The pictures aren't very good, I took them right before bed and she wouldn't look at me, just the usual, but this will give you an idea!

Finally Nursery

So Reagan is finally 18 months!!!! First of all I can't believe that she is 18 months old, where does the time go?? So we were very excited to take her to nursery. We were so tired of chasing her around the halls, and never getting to sit through any of church. So last Sunday we took her. Our nursery leaders are awesome! I felt really bad though, because it was some kids mission farewell, and I swear half of the state of Nevada showed up for it and there were 18 kids in Junior Nursery alone! So I went and dropped her off, luckily our good friends Todd and Anjie were in there, and Jen is the new leader so there were familiar faces. I was a little nervous because Reagan tends to take a while to warm up to new situations, but she went in and I went to Sunday School. Well then I hear this all too familiar screaming at the door right at the end of Sunday School, and so I went and got Reagan. I guess she needed a little break, so Nick and her walked around the church for a little bit. I then took her back in to try it one more time, and they were all sitting down for snack. They were having cheese so I knew that she would be just fine! I went to Relief Society and picked her up at the end of church. All in all it was a good first experience for us, now if you ask Anjie, Todd, and Jen, you may get another story :) Thanks again guys!!!!But I promise she will get better! Of course I wanted to take have a photo shoot with her on her first day, but she wasn't having it, but I did get one of her saying cheese!

Pumpkin Patch

So Reagan and some of her friends, went to the pumpkin patch on Saturday. It was beautiful day and the kids seemed to have a really good time. Reagan is getting to the age where I can't pose her for pics anymore, and I have to take what I get :) She wasn't in the mood too much for pictures, but here are some of them anyway! This is Reagan with her friend Paige.

This is Reagan, Paige, and Easton, of course we couldn't get them to all look at the camera at the same time, this was our best choice. And they were way too interested in the rocks!

I want this one!
She wanted the big one!
She thought maybe she could push it to the car.

Then she found one more her size.
If you click on this one, up close it is hilarious, she is saying my pumpkin, nobody can take it!
Again, trying to get them all to look at the same time :)

This was Reagan right when I told Reagan we had to leave, right before she busted into tears.
That was her afterwards!
All in all it was a fun time, and I am glad that we found a pumpkin patch in Vegas!
