Sawyer Grant Fish

Here's the story... I had an appointment on Tuesday and was sure that I would be able to be admitted. This was the longest I had ever been pregnant! The doctor checked me and I was at a 4 and 80% effaced. She wouldn't admit me because the hospital changed their policy and I would have to be in active labor to be admitted if I was before 39 weeks. So my mom and I had a nice day in Flag and then we came home. So Friday I started have consistent contractions but nothing that I thought warranted going to the hospital so I just went to bed. Woke up Saturday morning and went to use the restroom and then my water broke...oh geez! When my water breaks things tend to go quickly so I was nervous. This is at 7:50am. We get things ready to go and head for the hospital at 8:20ish. My contractions start at that time and are 5 minutes apart and fairly painful but nothing compared to what I know is coming. We make it to Flag at about 9:20 and Greg has to go get the nurses with a wheelchair for me. We get up to the room and I change and Greg has to help me to the bed because walking is not an option at this point. The nurses were nice but being a little lackadaisical for my liking. I had to get poked twice to get my IV in and then I asked if my nurse would check me. She did and I was at an 8 and his head was right there and I needed to push. She quickly called the doctor in. Dr. Johansen came in (Dr. Perrin was out of town and Johansen is the doctor I had had with Rigs so I was glad he was on call) and got ready to deliver. I pushed about 4 times and Sawyer Grant Fish was born at 9:50am. He weighed in at 8lbs 8 oz and was 21.5 inched long. Definitely the biggest baby but it was my best labor and delivery! We are totally smitten with him. He loves to cuddle and is just so sweet. I can't believe that he has already been here over a week! There is nothing better than a new baby to love on. I'm sure he'll grow up too fast just like my other boys have but for now I will enjoy every moment with my newborn as well as his 3 brothers!

33 Weeks

Time flies when you go by blog posts! It's been over a year since my last post and we are now expecting another baby. A boy. I never thought that I would be a mama to 4 boys and no girls but we are very excited. Things are moving right along. I am officially due in May 5th but I never go to term. I have already been having contractions and almost had to be put on bed rest but luckily I haven't had to do that. I don't know when I'd even have the time to be on bed rest;) The other 3 boys are all doing great. Castin loves kindergarten and his teachers are Mrs. Young and Mrs. Maxwell. He is doing very well in school and has received all 'S' marks. Tanner is in his second year of pre-school with Mrs. Holmes and is also doing great. They are both very smart and fun boys. Rigden gets to chill with me during the day and is such a funny boy. He makes the best faces and you definitely know what he is thinking at all times. He knows all of his ABC's, shapes, colors, and counts to 26 by himself. Very smart and adorable and he knows it to! That's life in a nutshell for the moment. Soon to change with the addition of this next little man...can't wait for him to be here and to not be preggers anymore!!

Guess who's back...back again

I have been extremely MIA from this blog. Which is too bad since we have had a ton of things happen since I had my tonsils taken out. Castin turned 5, Tanner turned 4 and Rigden had his first birthday. Not to mention Christmas and all those other holidays. I don't think Slacker even begins to describe me lately. I hope that I will do better and have more updates this year than last. It would take too many words so I will just post a plethora of pics and call it good for now!!

Tonsillectomy

Today I had my tonsils taken out. It has needed to happen for a long time. I am glad that the surgery is over with and I hope that the healing process goes by quickly. So far I feel pretty good...except I can't talk. That doesn't feel too great. Greg has been so amazing and I am grateful to have him. I love you so much Gregory!! I missed my boys and have felt like I was a better mom because I can't yell or even talk that much so I have had to develop more patience. However, to their credit, I have great kids and they have been so good since we got home. I think that my rare whispers make them listen and behave more than getting on them all the time. Lesson is being learned and hopefully internalized...by me! Thank you to all my friends and family for your texts. I miss you and can't wait to start hanging out soon. Thanks to Dr. Downs and the surgery center. They were so great. The doc said that I am (was) constantly fighting a low-grade infection because of my tonsils and I should have a lot more energy after I get healed up. I can honestly say that I already feel that way. I was used to my lymph nodes in my neck always being a little swollen and now I can't even feel them because the infection is gone! I am so grateful for a healthier life with less sore throats!! Well, since I can't talk this has been a pretty long post for me. I hope that all of you are well and hopefully I will be able to actually talk to some of you soon!!

BIG 30 DIRTY!!

That's right..I am now married to the hottest 30 year old ever! I had a surprise birthday party for him on Saturday at Steve and LuAnne's house. It was SO much fun and the biggest thank you of all thank you's goes to the Hancocks. You are amazing friends and I love you tons! They were just moving into their new place and helped me so much. Seriously awesome. I am pretty sure we have the best friends in the world. Charlsye helped make the cute signs (so talented). Bonnie helped decorate last minute and she was a professional. My sister Cara came early to lend a hand even though she had just had a her baby that past Sunday (she looks fabulous!) If you ever want to feel loved...throw a surprise party and see how much your friends and family help out to make it a success. I love 'em all! Moving on...we had tons of our favorite things there. Family, friends, food and music. Plus, Greg was totally surprised! I had never really been able to pull off surprising him with anything and I worked so hard to make this party memorable for him. Mission accomplished. I love you so much Gregory. I hope you know that and I can't wait to spend your next thirty years together!

SURPRISE!!!!!!

Charlsye Miller made all the signs for me.

This was the only picture that had all 5 of us in it!
(Plus a few extras :)

The cake that LuAnne and I made!!

P.S. Greg had been working with his brother all day before the party.
That's why he looks like a Dirty White Boy!
