Timmy and Preschool

Now that we are in the middle of summer break I should talk about how Timmy was able to start preschool in January.
We've been so grateful that Timmy was able to qualify for speech and get into preschool. He loved school and the few months he was going we saw huge progress with his speech. He is so much better and communicating wants and needs and emotions. He still doesn't do conversations. If you ask him what he did at school or church he wont tell you. At 3 and 1/2 he will finally tell you his name if you ask, but if you ask him how old he is he'll tell you his name or sometimes he'll tell you "One for Lilly." Anyway, he loved school. He was always excited to run in the door and say bye and dive into a puzzle and do whatever the 4 year old kids were doing.  He is super good at puzzles by the way, the preschool teachers mentioned on more than one occasion that they were amazed he was finishing puzzles that some of the older preschoolers couldn't finish.

Lilly and I were lucky enough to be able to accompany Timmy on his first field trip. They went to the Butterfly Pavilion. Timmy wasn't really a fan of all the bugs, but we all had fun.

So yeah, have I really not updated this blog since January? I have so much to catch up on. I need to tell you about how awesome it has been living in Colorado again. I need to show you our new house and all the improvements we've made. How we've done a lot of landscaping work on the back yard and how we've starting finishing the basement, but that we'll have to wait until another post because I just came on to make a little announcement...

On approximately Feb 10, 2015 baby number 3 will arrive and Greg and I will be outnumbered.

Lillian is 1 year old!

Well, Lillian turned one year. It sure was a quick year and I can't believe how grown up she is. She is standing up all one here own. She's even figured out how to get up and down the stairs all by herself and can climb off the sofa all by her self too. She is very attatched to her mommy. She throws a phony little tantrum every time I walk into another room. She  loves food, and will pretty much eat anything we give her. She reallly isn't a baby anymore!
We took her in to the doctor for her one year check up, which went a lot smoother than Timmy's trip to the doctor.  Here are her stats
Height 28.5" average
Weight 16lb 10oz 10%
Head Circumference 17" 10%

For her one year pictures I decided a tutu and a party hat would perfect. I also thought the purple beads added a nice touch, but she wasn't to happy to wear them, so we tried a bright and colorful striped shirt for a few pictures too.
Patty Cake
She really wasn't too happy with the beads and
just couldn't figure out how to take them off.
Head stand
She wasn't too excited about the hat either, but she kept trying to put it back on when she pulled it off

Christmas 2013

Christmas was great this year. The past three years we've been out in Nevada, on our own for Christmas. Well, last year we were in Nevada, but not alone since Grammy and Pappy came for the arrival of Lillian.  Being in Colorado made for a busy Christmas, but that was because we were able to spend time with all of our family for the holidays and it was wonderful

We started out by going over to Grandma and Grandpa Alldredge's for Christmas Eve. It was nice relaxing evening with dinner, a couple of presents and some sweet rolls and hot cocoa.  After dinner we went home and put the kids to bed so Santa could come. Christmas morning came and Lilly and I woke up nice and early. She snacked on Christmas Cap'n Crunch while waited for everyone else to wake up. Eventually Greg came down, but Timmy was still passed out a sleep. Since we needed to time to get ready to head to the Brink Family Breakfast we had to wake up Timmy so we could see what Santa brought.  He wasn't too happy to be woken up so he wasn't very interested in the presents.  Santa stuffed our stockings and brought Timmy a tricycle and Lilly a rocking horse.  Next we headed over to my Grandma and Grandpa Brink's for Christmas breakfast with all of the aunts and uncles and cousins...everyone.  It was nice to see everyone too, since we haven't been to Christmas breakfast for a few years. After breakfast we headed over to Grammy's and Pappy's to open presents and eat dinner. Timmy and Lilly sure had a ton of presents to love. If we didn't know it before we definitely now it now, these kids sure are loved.

I think she likes it

Grumpy Timmy wasn't excited about the trike so he kept pushing it back under the tree
