Christmas Torture

A couple of weeks ago Greg had a work Christmas party.  I suppose I could say it was fun, if you call fun shoving way too many people into a really small room and eating some food. The room was crowded and noisy and didn't have any place for little ones to stretch out their legs. Tensions were getting high by the time Santa made a visit. Santa finally came and well, Timothy was a little upset about the whole ordeal. Okay, maybe more than a little upset.
But then again, if Santa was always this enthusiastic I would probably be upset too.
At least, he got a nice toy from Santa.

1 Year Stats

Yesterday, I took Timothy to tthe Doctor for his 1 year check up. This was the start of what he would probably consider the worst day of his so far.

First off the stats

Head size: 18" 37%
Height: 28 3/4" 9%
Weight 19lb 0oz 14%

Okay, so why was is day so bad. We he started his day getting shots at the doctor. Nobody likes that. Here is what really made it bad. I had to drive up to Carson so I could pick up his vitamins from CVS, while I was that way I decided to stop at Walmart to get a few things. I need some yarn, but walmart didn't have the right color so I decided to stop by Michaels. While we were waiting in line at the check out Timmy was reaching up for me and trying stand so I went to pick him up and couldn't because his foot was caught in the shopping cart. He some how slipped his foot between the bars next to the big hole where his leg is supposed to go.
I didn't take this picture. I found it on the internet.

The lady behind me tried to help me out but his little ankle was not the right shape to fit back through. Hanking on his leg trying to get him out didn't make him any happier either. One of the associates pulled out some lotion to see if it would help. It didn't We moved out of the line and they  pulled a pair of bolt cutters from out back and cut one of the bars off of the shop. I was a little ticked off after this. Because everyone  that worked there just walked off. Not one of them asked if he was okay. I had to get back in at the end of the line. But, when I finally got to the cashier she handed me a gift card and said that it was from one of the lady's that was ahead of me in line. At least someone tried to make the situation a little better.

So yeah, that was probably the worst day for a baby, shots AND getting trapped in a shopping cart.

Timothy's 1st Birthday

We had a fun time celebrating Timothy's First Birthday. Greg's parents came to visit for Thanksgiving and we had to take them to the airport that day but before they left that afternoon we had a little party in the morning. Timmy got to open a lot of presents. Skype with his other Grammy and Pappy during the party and he got to smash some birthday cake.  After we took Greg's Parents to the airport we decided to stop at P.F. Changs for lunch and the waitress gave Timmy a little dessert for his big day too.

We got to take them up to see lake Tahoe and take a few pictures. We had a very delicious Thanksgiving dinner. We did a little bit of shopping and we got to celebrate Timothy's Birthday(that's another post.)

Happy Halloween

Last Night we had our ward Halloween party and trunk or treat. It was a lot of fun. We got to dress up and enjoy Halloween for the first time in a few years. They had a lot of fun stuff going on at the party. We had a chili cook off, the young men and young women set up games for the kids to play, we had the trunk or treat, and a costume parade. I made us some Star Wars Themed Costumes.
Timmy was an Ewok.
 Greg was a Jedi

I dressed up as Princess Leia

When we decorated the trunk we went along with the Star Wars theme. We found some Star Wars cookie cutters on sale at Williams Sonoma and made some salt dough Star Wars ships. We hung them from the top or the trunk. We put some lights in the back and then we had a Death Star jack-o-lantern. a light saber jack-o-lantern and a Storm Trooper jack-o-lantern and had Star Wars music playing in the background. It was awesome! It was so awesome that our trunk took first place!

Grammy Came to Visit.

A couple of Fridays ago we drove up to Reno to pick up my mom from the airport and Surprise Grand Pappy came too. My dad was supposed to go to Moab and my mom didn't want to stay home by herself so she decided to come visit her favorite grand baby. Apparently my dad's trip was cancelled about a week before hand so he came too, but they kept it a surprise. We started out the trip with lunch at Denny's and then Grammy and Pappy got spend a lot of quality time with Timothy. ON Saturday morning I made some Caramel apples and while we let them sett we drove up to Carson so Pappy could have some In-N-Out and then we headed to the Corley Ranch and Fall Festival. The corn maze out here is ridiculously easy. It's only 2 acres and  caters to little children. We got to see a pig race while we were there. We took a lot of pictures and Pappy and Greg even won some pumpkins at the giant sling shot.  We didn't do anything else to exciting before my parents left on Monday which is okay because it was just nice spending time with them. So we stopped at Round Table Pizza for lunch on Monday and then dropped Grammy and Pappy at the airport. We had a lot of fun with them and it was great to see them.
We then kept ourselves busy for the rest of Monday up in Reno. We figured since drove up that far we might as well hang around and eat somewhere for dinner that we don't often get to eat. We started out the afternoon at  Deseret Book Store which is apparently like right next to the airport. We had no idea it was there, we just stumbled upon it looking for a gas stations. Then we walked around the mall and Kohl's and then went to Texas Roadhouse  for dinner. It was a good way to spend the afternoon.
