A New Car.....sort of.

Okay, not really. But I did get a new bicycle and a bike trailer. Yep, after using the same bike for over 10 years it was time for an upgrade. So even though it's not a car  or nearly as useful it is still transportation. So if ever need to go to the post office or grab a couple of small things from the grocery store it'll do the trick. All I have to do is plop Timmy in the trailer and go. Hurray for freedom on carless days.

GE Party

Last Saturday Ge had their company picnic. It was quite the party.  There was food. Lot's and lot's of food. They even had a snow cone stand, churros, stand and an ice, cream stand. There were bounce houses, at least a dozen of them. There was a live band. There were also Carnival games. Everything was free! We just had to check in at the picnic and they gave us arm bands that showed we belonged to GE and we could eat and play as much as we want. We sat down at a table with our friend's Jeff and Kelly to eat and they we wandered for a while. Greg got a snow cone and I got some icecream and then we found the carnival games. We had fun playing the games and trying to with prizes. I kicked trash at the Nerf Gun game winning the Grand Prize my first try. It kind of hurt Greg's ego a little. We came home with a large supply of new stuffed animals for Timothy. We won 2 large frogs, a fuzzy caterpillar, a blue cameleon, a small lizard, a big blue hat, a red dragon, a turtle, and an itty-bitty squirt gun.Unfortunately, no matter how hard we tried we couldn't win any of the monkeys at any of the games, which would have matched Timothy's room great.Once we decided to quit playing games. Greg got some ice cream, I got a churro and then we headed home.

Our Trip to Colorado - Week 2

Our second week in town we stayed at Greg's parents.  One Monday, July 11 we went wih Julie and her kids to visit Greg's Grandma Nona.

Julie's kids absolutely loved their cousin Timothy. They all wanted to sit by him in the car and couldn't help but stare at him.
That night we head over to my brother Brandon's and he took some very nice pictures of Timothy and us. Here's a little preview.

Tuesday we went over to my parents house for dinner. My mom was having major Timothy withdrawals. Wednesday night, I made dinner for Greg's parents. I made some Easy Chicken Cordon Bleu. Thursday, Greg's mom treated us to some Cold Stone Creamery and then she took us to Waneka lake so she could get a few nice pictures of us and Timothy.  Julie came over that night and made pizza for dinner.

Friday was by far one of the busiest days of our vacation. It was our last day in town so we ran all over town trying to visit people before we left.  We started our day out visiting Grandma and Grandpa Brink.  It just happened to be their 60th wedding anniversary that day. Incredible!Timothy got to play on their gianted stuffed tiger.
Afterwards, we headed to Wingman for lunch and then we were off to visit Orie and Grandma and Grandpa McLaughlin.  Timothy figured out how to army crawl during these two weeks and was having fun crawling all over Grandma and Grandpa's floor.

Eventually we made it back to my parent's house and we all headed to Applebee's for dinner. After dinner, we had one more stop.  We a little get together with Greg's cousins Joe and Matthew and their wives Tiffany and Meghan at Joe and Tiffany's place. It was fun for Greg to hang out with his cousins. It was nice to catch up with Tiffany who I was in Young Women's with growing up. It was also nice to meet Meghan and everybody's kiddles.

We finally made it to bed so we could get up early for our flight. We got to the airport super dooper early thanks to my inability to properly remember flight times. The flight left a half and hour later than I thought it did. Better early than late, right?  Well, we made it home anyway.

Our Trip to Colorado - Week 1

On June 30, we got up super, super early and headed to the airport for a 6:20am flight to Denver.  We stayed in town for two and a half weeks and had a great time visit.

We stayed at my parents house the first week we were there.  Grammy and Pappy got to spend a lot of quality time with Timothy.

On Saturday July 2nd, my Mom did a 4th of July get together/ birthday celebration for my Dad and brother who both had birthdays during the week.  All of the grandparents and a few other family members came and of course Timothy was the star of the show.

Megan's poor dog got a shave

Sunday night we ran over to Greg's parents so we could visit with his sister Jennifer and her family who were in town for the week for a little bit. Then we went with my parents to watch the Erie Fireworks show.

He slept through the whole show.
We spent the 4th of July with Greg's Family. His mom made a red, white, and blue French toast breakfast. After breakfast we our Greg and his Dad helped our nephew Michael do a Flag Ceremony to pass of a Cub scout requirement then we all headed inside so the grand kids could do a little shopping at the Grandma Store.

After the Grandma store we all took a little break so the kiddles could get in naps or just some quieter, less exciting time.  The grand-daughters stayed at Grandma and Grandpas and made cupcakes. We headed over to Greg's sister Julie's house and played a some video games. After the intermission we all gathered again at Greg's  mom and dad's for water balloons, marshmallow guns, and a hot dog roast. Greg lit a hug fire (with one match) in the fire pat and we got to roast hot dogs and marshmallows. The wind started to be a problem by the end of the dinner. Timothy didn't get along with the smoke on m clothes very well and had a horrible reaction with puffy red eyes and a little bit of a rash on his face, but we wiped his his face and gave him a bath and he was better by the morning.

Tuesday night we left Timothy with Grammy and Pappy and we went with Greg's Sisters and their husbands on a triple date. We ate some tasty Maggiano's for Dinner.
When we got back from dinner we found Timothy sleeping on the floor pillow. Kind of Creepy.
Thursday morning, Timothy got to play with his cousins while Greg taught his sisters how to make cheese cake.

That evening we went to the temple with my mom.  We ended our week by going to water world with my sister Megan and her boyfriend on Saturday. We had fun even though a handful of rides were closed to due weather damage. There was a lot of rain while we were in Colorado.
