Cake Girl...

Abbey wants to be a cake decorator like Buddy from Cake Boss! She truly does!! She records every show and she even has me LOVING the show "The Next Great Baker. "

Abbey has been practicing her cake modeling skills using clay. This is her latest dog head. Pretty good, Abbey Grace! Maybe you will work in a bakery in NYC and I will work for you!

Our Little Family Christmas...

Before we headed out of town to visit our families, we had our "family of five" Christmas at home! The girls LOVE planning our dinner at home and opening our family gifts together! Of course we had to pose for a sisters picture in front of the tree. With my camera "down" it was once again an iphone picture! Before we had gifts, the girls put on a Christmas play for Will and I. Abbey was the narrator for most of the play. The play consisted of Christmas songs that they sang and acted out.
Emiley did an Elvis song... "Blue Christmas" She even played the guitar for us!
At times we had a hard time keeping a straight face.
Lainey showed off her ballet dancing skills.
Abbey was the intermission act with "Frosty the Snowman!"
Emiley did "Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer" complete with a lipstick covered red nose.
Lainey did more sweet dancing... sorry I cant remember all the songs! They had too many to remember.
Then it was time for GIFTS. Abbey was surprised and so EXCITED with her teenage BIBLE and soccer Bible cover.
Lainey needed and LOVED her new p.j.'s!
Emiley was "over the top" excited about her barrel of monkeys!
We enjoyed a nice evening of lots more gifts and eating homemade soups and salad that the girls and I had prepared together that day while daddy worked. It was a great FAMILY evening!

Christmas, Once Again...

We had our "little family Christmas" before heading out of town that I still need to blog about but I am I skipping ahead and blogging about out Christmas with my Dad and Dee. We headed down south and spend Christmas Eve with my Dad, Dee, Abby, and Megan. It was a great restful weekend! The girls were pretty excited about Christmas money!
(This will be the Christmas of iphone pictures...Sorry!) The girls didnt get very dressed up! Told you it was super relaxed! And it was so very nice!
On Friday when we got there, the girls spent lots of time making cookies for Santa!
They took their time...
They made sure to make a cookie of every kind.
Then the girls had icing and sprinkles everywhere, but they sure had lots of yummy cookies! SANTA had a good selection of cookies and chocolate milk waiting for him. Abbey, Lainey and Emiley each left him a little note.

The next morning we had lots of excited little girls! Abbey got her volleyball and volleyball net that she was wanting. Now we just have to get daddy to put it up outside.
Lainey got a new baby and lots of beads to make necklaces and rings!
Emiley got a scooter and a guitar. And everyone got new DS games and lots of other goodies.
Lainey got busy making rings, of course!
Abbey was ready to play some volleyball!
We then stuffed our tummies with an amazing Christmas lunch.
Then it was time for more relaxing as a family.
Which is just what we needed!

Seriously, 13 Years?...

I truly cannot believe that today marks our 13th wedding anniversary! Somedays I think back and it seems like only yesterday, other days seem like many more years have past. Thank you Will for making me a better person today, yesterday and tomorrow. You are truly an amazing husband, father and friend. I am so thankful to be your wife!

Happy 13th Anniversary, Babe! Love you :)

Merry Christmas...

Merry ChristmasFrom our Family to Yours... "Then the angel said to them, 'Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lod. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, laying in a manger.'
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: 'Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!'"
Luke 2:10-14
Blessings to you and yours this Holiday Season

Christmas Number One...

This past Saturday we had the pleasure of hosting Christmas for my brother and his family and my mom and Papa Jim! It was great fun! This kids always have a BLAST when they are together. I wish that we had gotten a more formal picture of the five grandkids together but this is as good as it gets. The were anxious to open a few presents, of course! My mom and Jim brought steaks with them and Will cooked them on the grill and I made potatoes, salad, corn casserole, stuffed jalapenos, rolls, chocolate pound cake, and pumpkin pie. It was a GREAT, non-traditional Christmas dinner!
I cant believe how much my niece Whitney is looking like Abbey. I had to look twice at this picture. Every time I visit B-town, people tell me Whitney looks like me! I LOVE that of course! She is a doll :)

Miss Em was a HAM as usually! There is a never a dull moment with her around! She loves this new shirt and wore it to church the next day!

Lainey girl posing for the camera as always! (So sorry my pictures arent great! They front door lighting messes them up.)

Abbey thought this shirt was so cute! I think Abbey and Whitney look a lot alike. Cousins!!! It makes me so happy that my girls have a girl cousin so close to their age!

Oh yes, and Mr. Garrett... He loves his Uncle Will! Uncle Will is pretty fond of Mr. Garrett, too. they spent lots of time out with the horses. Garrett was pretty happy just riding around our place on old Jasper.

He also found Snowball the kitty to play with. Yes, we are just a littl farm out here! Isnt my nephew just the cutest? I think he gets it from me, not my brother!

Lainey also took her turn on Jasper. She could spend hours riding around our little place. Jasper doesnt seem to mind either.

Then Lainey and Garrett went riding around the pasture together. They are so cute! Emiley spent her time climbing the tree! Told you she was a crazy girl!

My pretty niece again!

These two girls... I love them to pieces!
My little pre-teen finally let me take her picture. She is growing up way to fast!!!!

Merry Christmas! We cant wait to spend more time with family in the days to come!
