She Will Always Be...

{Well, I cant leave Abbey Grace out, so I must do a little post on her.}
My Abbey Grace will always be my first born, the baby that made me a Momma and Will a daddy! The first year of Abbey's life Will and I were both in graduate school. She listened to us read accounting and education graduate work to her. She was lugged everywhere around ACU campus and smiled all along the way.

*Abbey will always be the big sister to Lainey and Emiley. She loves protecting them and pestering them all at the same time.
*Abbey, you are super smart and work so hard in school. I hope it always comes easy for you but that when it doesnt you face challenges head on.
*Abbey, you are changing and growing. I am so proud of how you are handling it all.
*I love your blonde hair (from daddy) and brown eyes (from me).
*Abbey Grace, Your daddy and I are your #1 fans,
*Abbey, you are learning that some days are awesome and some days are tough. That is life!
*I am so proud of your spiritual walk. When I see you searching the scripture it makes my heart smile.
*I cant believe you are 5'2''. How tall will you be?
*Your love for sweet tea, Soffe shorts, T-shirts, chocolate, strawberries, and ACU is so cute.
*You make me so happy to be your momma and Lainey and Emiley LOVE you to pieces!

Daddy's Girl...

When I was pregnant with Abbey Grace we didnt find out if she was a girl or a boy. We were surprised. Will was convinced that she was going to be a boy! In fact, I think we were both surprised she was a girl. Will is a great "girl" daddy. All three of our daughters LOVE him, but our third little girl is a bit smitten with her daddy...

Since I did a little comparison between Lainey and I yesterday, lets look at Emiley Morgan and her Daddy Love:
*Emiley and her daddy LOVE everyone!
*Emiley and her daddy have a beautiful red tint to their hair and she LOVES to tell you about it!
*Emiley and her daddy would rather be wondering around in the pasture.
*Emiley and her daddy often giggle to themselves {in their little world}.
*Emiley and her daddy are super smart but dont have to show it off.
*Emiley and her daddy love the simple things in life.
*Emiley and her daddy have beautiful smiles!
*Emiley and her daddy love to take the trash to the office on Saturdays. {Well, Will may not love it, but Emiley loves to hop in her daddy's truck and go anywhere he is going.}
*Emiley and her daddy have thick hair and long eyelashes.
*Emiley and her daddy love cowboy boots.

Oh the love...

Just Like Me...

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE having three daughters! I cant imagine my life any other way. They are all like me in some ways but everyone says Abbey is a good combination of Will and I, Emiley is the most like Will and Lainey is "just like me." I guess I would have to agree... Here are some ways Lainey Girl is like me...
*Lainey is the only daughter that has brown hair just like me.
*Lainey is the only one that LOVES chocolate milk just like me.
*Lainey LOVES to get dressed up just like me!
*Lainey is ALL ABOUT the accessories just like me!
*Lainey is a worrier just like me.
*Lainey is a crafter just like me.
*Lainey is not real coordinated just like me.
*Lainey would prefer a good sour, gummy candy over chocolate just like me.
*Lainey can be a bit sassy just like me.
*Lainey is a bit set in her ways just like me.
*Lainey has a temper just like me.
*Lainey knows what she wants when she wants it just like me.
*Lainey is all about lipgloss just like me.
*Lainey has a pretty good memory just like me.
*Tests make Lainey pretty nervous just like me...

Today is the STAAR test for my Lainey Girl... Thinking about you today sweet girl. I know you are writing a wonderful story because you are super duper talented!

So proud of you {my little, mini-me}!

Let's Catch-up, Shall We?...

WOW! I took a long blog break! Abbey had another basketball tourney for her select team so we had games on Friday and Saturday. I was a "band parent" and worked the concession stand for the local track meet, we had a fun birthday party for a friend, I took the girls shopping for Easter dresses and swimsuits, Will ran a half-marathon with 3 of his buddies and worked lots of taxes, and somehow we enjoyed a rental movie, steak night, church, and some sleep! So now for photo-a-day...
{Day 17- Green} I'm loving my new scarves that Aunt Sue and I made over spring break! This one is my FAV.
{Day 18- Corner of your home} I love my red chair that belonged to my Momba. You will also see Will's guitar. This is the corner of our bedroom.
{Day 19- Funny} Lainey girl hanging upside down off the trampoline.
{Day 20- Before and After} Well, I just got the before of our sushi... We cleaned the plate!
{Day 21- Delicious} Steak... our favorite!
{Day 22- Kitchen Sink} With a few cups to be washed or loaded into the dishwasher.
{Day 23- Moon} Not the moon, but proof that Lainey is loving the moon and all things related right now. She has changed her art desk into a "space" table!
{Day 24- Animal} Momma cat, Cowgirl, and her baby kitties...
{Day 25- Breakfast} Cinnamon Chex!
{Day 26- Key} I love that my key and my "clicker" are all-in-one.
Happy Monday!

More Than a Litter Box...

I think I shared with you all that my dear friend Betsy who gave us the rabbit, Ginko forgot to share with me that rabbits often use litter boxes. Well, Betsy also left out the fact that rabbit's could also be walked on leashes! REALLY? So when Lainey Beth asked for a leash for Ginko I was a bit surprised.
I have since "humored" Lainey girl and bought the rabbit a leash so that she can walk him around the yard. My, oh my, what a sight. REALLY it is pretty cute but I am learning things everyday! Ginko has his very own red vest {I chose the color, it is my favorite!} and a leash! He can now get out of his cage and eat some of the grass and clover.
I think it makes for a happy rabbit and some happy little girls! And that's what it's all about.
Happy Hump Day!

Today's 10 Thoughts...

1. I have some reall y silly girls and I wouldn't trade it for anything!
2. They DID NOT want to wake up this morning after sleeping in over Spring Break! The cloudy, rainy weather didn't help much.
3. Abbey said that you learn how to sleep with your eyes open in Jr. High.

4. Lainey told me after dinner that her tummy was full of gas that is not a good thing for little people.
5. Miss Em is such a little helper. She was helping me with the supper dishes and told me she felt like we were cleaning up after a bunch of pigs!
6. Betsy and I went for a walk today and I felt like I was Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz being carried off in a tornado! The wind was horrible! We even had to move a tree limb off the jogging trail that had blown down from the wind.

7. This weekend we traveled to Will's hometown to celebrate the life of a very special lady.
8. I made cornflake cookies for the girls... Man, I love those things.
9. I am so thankful for the friends God has given me at this time in my life. I am truly blessed. I was able to call on so many of them to help me out over the weekend. They are all so amazing.
10. We are so excited about the rain and storms we are having! The girls have been out in it with their umbrellas and are a little nervous that the baby kitties are not safe!

Welcome Spring!!!

{Day 8-Window} Our sweet momma kitty loves to sit in the kitchen window.
{Day 9-Red} I love my Scentsy Warmer. I love the smells that make my house smell like something is baking.
{Day 10- Loud} I think I have the loudest dishwasher on the planet. We didnt replace it when we bought this house. I keep thinking it will go out but it hasnt! It keeps on truckin'!
{Day 11-Someone you talked to today} My sweet little two. They are growing up way too fast.

Getting Crafty...

My girls went on a Spring Break trip with EE and PaPa Jim, so I took off on a little trip of my own. I went and spent some time with my aunt Susan and my Mi-ma. Our time together always results in cooking, cleaning or crafting. On Sunday evening, Susan and I were showing each other our favorite scarves. I just happen to bring my favorite blue infinity scarf! We decided that we could make some of these!! So that is just what we did. I had paid around $15 for my favorite blue one and we went and bought fabric and made 12 infinity scarves for about $2 each! Susan was incharge of the sewing machine...
I did all the pinning and a little of the ironing of the seams after she had sewn. We had a very good assembly line formed.
We did take Dr. Pepper breaks!
These are some of the patterns we chose! I cant wait to wear them. I plan on even wearing the infinity scarf through the summer with shorts and a Tee or tank...
I think this one might be my favorite. It is turquoise! We were pretty proud of ourselves! {Aunt Sue and Mi-ma didnt want their picture taken!}

Friday, Friday...

We are so excited that it is FINALLY Spring Break! The girls are tired and ready for a break from school and all that goes with it. When they get back to it, they will be on the home stretch! Abbey and her "select" team begins another tournment tonight. They are playing some schools closer to the metroplex so we may see some tougher competition?!?! So far they have only lost one game. I hope we play GREAT! One of Abbey's friends came home with us today so they were discussing the game and texting {of course}.
Yesterday was Art Day at the elementary school. I was able to volunteer all day and the kids had a good time. Lainey LOVED it and wore her art smock to school! They did finger painting, dot art, chalk art, and so much more. Then last night was Open House!
It's so good to hear that you have GOOD KIDS! I am so proud of all 3 of our girls. They are excelling in school, they are responsible, respectful, and are taking ownership in their education. They are so proud of the things they are doing. We got to see pieces of the State projects for GT and some other fun things they have done throughout the year. I loved this picture Ms. Em had drawn... Can you see the church in the background??
And here is Ms. Em's solar system project! They do these at school so that each child will have a far chance at a project and it will be THEIR work! I think thats AWESOME!
And finally just for fun, I took this picture on the way home from church the other day... Its a horse tied to a truck. He's being let somewhere! Only in TX!
Happy Weekend and Happy Spring Break. My girls will have tales to tell after their trip with EE and PaPa Jim and their cousins Whit and Garrett!

Thumper Has Taken Over My Sunroom...

After LOTS of begging from Lainey Beth, we finally gave in and said "YES" to her getting a bunny. Well, Saturday was the long awaited day and we went to pick up the bunny from her BFF's house. Lainey had researched bunny names and was so excited to pick up her bunny, GINKO!
Before we could go get Ginko from Abby's house, we had to go get some things for Ginko so we headed to Tractor Supply and picked up a cage, hay, feed, bowl and other little things a bunny might need before we brought our new friend home to our funny farm!
I was really looking forward to Mr. or Mrs. Ginko to living outside but as soon as we put him/her out there the horse knocked him off of his/her table! NOT GOOD!!! So we had to move him/her into the sunroom to live...
Ginko seems to be happy here at the Hale Household. The only thing that I am unhappy about is that Ginko is pooping outside his cage. I discussed this with Betsy {his previous owner} and she informed me that bunnies need litter boxes. WHAT?? REALLY?? Well, after cleaning bedding and hay from all around the sunroom for days we have made a "box" for Ginko. We shall see if it works! It's a new journey for sure here on the "farm."

It's March!...

It's March and time to begin another photo a day challenge!
{Day 1-UP} This is one of my favorite areas in my home. It is my "entry way!" I love all these crosses. Many of them have been gifts. The one on the bottom right, Lainey Beth made for me. I also LOVE this shelf. My dad made it for me!
{Day 2-Fruit} Yep, those are some rotten bananas but soon they will be some yummy banana bread!
{Day3- Your neighborhood} Well, since we live in the country this is as close as we get to a neighborhood... Our "little" house and the camper! Oh yes, and the well house.
{Day 4-Bedside} Lotion, phone, carmex, lamp, Bible, magzines and a pair of earrings...
{Day 5-A Smile} Woody and Jessie always make me smile. Probably because they still make my girls smile. Will and I went and saw the original Toy Story movie together at ACU way back when...And my girls have a LOVE for ALL the Toy Story Movies! Woody of course have Andy's name on his foot... Well, our Jessie doll has Abbey's name on her foot!! It makes me smile!! We will never part with these dolls. Sweet Memories. Sweet Smiles.
