*Lately we have been dreaming a lot about summer... But its hard not to when the temperature is 95 degrees outside.
*Lately the girls have been spending lots of time outside on the trampoline! We are loving the fact that we ge to come home at 3:30, right after school and dont have basketball or cheer try-out practice or any other activity right now!
*Lately the girls have celebrated the fact that the STAAR test is OVER!!!! All 3 girls had to take the test this year but they sure enjoyed a good breakfast on the 2 test mornings. Daddy did pancakes one morning and I made bacon the next!
*Lately we have been petting and loving on our 5 baby kitties. Yep, Cowgirl had 3 and then Snowball had 2 a few weeks later. CRAZY!
*Lately we have been making lots of humming bird food. Those silly little birds empty the jar in a matter of about 4 days!
*Lately Miss Em has gotten her flip flop mastered on the trampoline and Lainey Beth is doing cartwheels and round-offs with ease! Abbey {Oh they are so competitive} couldn't be outdone or even on the same level so she had to learn a back flip!
*Lately we have been really watching for snakes! SO THANKFUL we haven't spotted one on our land! We have seen a few on the dirt road!
*Lately we have done a little spring planting. I love have flowers in my pots on my porch!
*Lately I havent taken may pictures. Sorry for the pictureless post!

Diva Dash...
Last weekend I headed to Austin with some of my girlfriends for the "Diva Dash!" It was a 3 mile run full of obstacles. We ran through bubbles, over barriers in the lake, walked on a balance beam, through big balls like seen on Wipe-out, over a rope wall, climbed over barriers... you get the idea. The one obstacle that made me chuckle and make we WISH for my camera for proof was the one where we carried logs up a hill! YEP, we did it...
There were lots of silly costumes. We opted for a simple pink shirt with BS2 because our names are Betsy, Shelley, Bridgette and Shelly and combined we have a dozen daughters! Yep, 12 girls! Bridgette also has a boy! CRAZY!!!!
It was a GOOD time and a wonderful night a way!

A Bit More Boston...
I figured with all the runners and tourists around it would be really crowded, but we walked right in and got the BEST table right by a window that over-looked the street! It was perfect! Will was able to get his carb-loading race meal and I got a bun-less burger! It was GREAT!
All around Copley Square and the Marathon area there were statues of famous people. It was just beautiful. We took a picture outside of Old South Church...
As we were leaving the Marathon Expo we saw these two runners being interviewed. I told Will that "he had his picture taken with the elites!"
The whole city was decorated for the marathon. I know the weather was not good for runners but it was sure beautiful as we walked around the city!
This was the Boston World Trade Center. Really a neat place... Beautiful buildings...
What an experience for Will. At packet pick-up, all the runners were putting on their shirts and stopping for a photo-op! Such a fun time!!

Beauty in Boston...
While we were in Boston we saw so many beautiful things. My favoriet things were all the tulips. They were everywhere! These were some tulips that were outside the Old South Church in Copley Square.
They had tulips in everywhere color.
They would have neat arrangements all around, as well. This was right outside of the church.
These tulips were in the park. I think what made it so beautiful is that they would have them grouped in colors. There would be a group of yellow tulips, then red, or pink or hot pink. There were people evevery where taking pictures or picnicing. There were also beautiful old churches on every street corner.
These flower arrangements were at Legal Seafood. So beautiful!
This was the few of the harbor outside our hotel room. Boston really was a beautiful city and all the people we met was so nice and helpful...
Here is a picture inside the Old South Church. They had a church service Sunday morning for the runners and then left the building open for visits to see inside. BEAUTIFUL!
I still have more pictures to share... Stay tuned!

Boston Marathon...
At the Boston Marathon the runners are bussed out 26 miles and then run back into the finish line at Copley Square. Since I wasn't completely confident about the subway system, I rode into town with Will at 6 am when he had to catch his bus out to the start line. I was glad that I did...
Will met a few nice guys on the subway {we met great people everywhere we went in Boston} and he was off to catch the bus. I headed down to the finish line to find some breakfast and decide what I should do since it was 6 am and the race didnt start until 10 and Will wouldnt finish until about 1:30.
I got some breakfast a coffee shop and kept walking just a block from the finish line and noticed that people were already lining the streets. I began talking to a nice lady who was a "pro" spectator of the race. I ended up sitting with her and we all became race friends. I was camped out at mile 26, one block from the finish line with a great view for the day. This picture was literally at 7 am.
I was sitting all day with a family from Boston, a couple from Chicago and a woman from Florida. We were all there to cheer on our loved ones and had a great spot to watch! I made a sign! :)
The big screen was right across the street from us so we were able to watch the start. I even saw Will! Thank goodness he wore his TEXAS shorts and yellow tank. They even scanned our part of the audience a few times showing our signs.
When it was time for the winners of the marathon to run in, the Boston Police did a processional from the side street on the corner where I was sitting. It was really moving...
Here is a past winner riding by in the official marathon vehicle...
And the woman winner... It was a race at the end!
It was really moving when the Army men ran in. WOW! {Notice the crowds now!}
I literally was moved to tears a lot... This older man was having cramps and barely making it. This young girl stopped running and started encouraging her. We didnt think they knew each other. At one point she was holding him up. AMAZING!
And then, here is the MAN I had been waiting for! I my new friends were cheering WILL, WILL! When we saw him! It was so GREAT! He was the 2nd member of our group to come through.
It was incredible. I was so proud of him...He had done it! The Boston Marathon on one of the hottest marathons on record. Yep, it was 87 degrees. It is usually in the 50's in Boston.
We met right up at the family meeting station thanks again to another nice lady from California who took me right there. Will was looking great even though he was extremely hot...
