Someone had a little fun with Momma's phone during little sister's basketball game.

I guess whatever it takes to keep you entertained through two games. 

Sometimes it's really hard being the middle sister.

And this is only about 1/50th of the pictures!  Good thing it's easy to DELETE!  And good thing she's super cute! 

We have had this dresser forever... I think it was my little brother's when he was little!  I recently moved it and decided to use it in the entry way to store gloves, scarves, and other goodies that had been in the top of the coat closet that the girls couldn't reach!  I wanted to paint it though so I got busy...

I bought the blue/grey paint that I wanted that matched my new curtains and just went for it!  I wasnt sure what I was doing (LYNN, this is where I needed you but I got impatient!)  but I think it looks pretty good! 

I think it looks pretty good and my girls are happy with it, too.

Somewhere amist the craziness of the holidays I think I forgot to mention that Lainey and Emiley had Student Council Inductions.  If I remember correctly, it was on the same night as one of Abbey's basketball games but we managed to fit it all in!  Lainey was made the "official" President! 

And Miss Emiley is now the "official" Historian! 

I am so proud of the little leaders they are becoming...

It's really hard to believe we are in the last few years of elementary...

Great Job girls!  I'm so proud of you!!! 

How about a little more randomness because really that is all I have??  It truly doesnt feel like I go almost a week without posting.  I have a few random pictures.  Last weekend I went to our preschool conference.  While we were there, we heard about the 5K they were having to help buy mosquito nets for kids in Africa. So we got up early and participated!  In all the race bought 60 nets!!! 

My sweet friend, Malaina, who also happens to the be the mommy of Abbey's BFF Cam had a baby boy last week!  We cant get enough of him, but keep asking ourselves, "What are we going to do with a BOY!!??"

Abbey's team had their district tourney this past weekend.  They made it to the championship game and lost a tough one by only 3 points.  We see some AMAZING things from these girls and from the girls in the grade above them.  SO FUN!!!

These silly Cornflake cookies are too good and g-free.  I shouldn't make them because then I want to eat them ALL! 

HAPPY MONDAY!

 Momma said there would be days like this...

*Days when things dont really make sense.

*Days when you want to cry your eyes out.

*Days when you see old pictures of your sweet little girls from 2008 and cant believe they are getting so big. 

*Days when a pedicure and manicure make you feel so good.

*Days when you are so thankful you cant quite smiling.

*Days when you dont want to wish away time but you cant wait for tomorrow.

*Days when you are so proud of your babies you could BURST!

 

Momma said there would be days like this... I say it all the time, I know.  We are so busy.  Busy, but so good.  Abbey is back to playing basketball after sitting our 4 weeks with a stress fracture.  She has her district tournament this weekend.  Her team had their first loss last week against the only other undefeated team :(  Should be a good tourney!!  Lainey is busy with dance.  They are learning a new dance to One Direction.  That makes her so HAPPY!  Miss Em has started basketball and won their first game.  She also did 5 flip flops yesterday on the tumble trak! 

 

Will ran in a 100K last weekend.  That is over 60 miles, people!!!  WOW!  I had a preschool conference that was AWESOME.  I love teaching preschool and teaching preschool that includes JESUS is just AWESOME! 

 

Ok, I will do better.  PROMISE!

 This weekend was our county's stock show and home economics show.  Lainey and Emiley entered quite a few items and were very successful.  Lainey had 2 Grand Champion photographs.  One was this black and white picture she took of Will playing the guitar.  The other Grand Champion print was her sephia and was a similiar picture of Will and his guitar.  (Lainey was NOT wanting her picture taken.) 

 Emiley had a first place for her pecan pie.  She even did the crust all by herself!  I was so proud of her!  We had to get up extra early Thursday morning because she had to be at the pig barn early to help with her pig.  Emiley also got a 2nd place with her fuge!!! 

 Miss Em did a great job showing her pig Freckles.  This was her first time in the show ring.  She got 5th place and did not make the sale but did a great job and is still LOVING pigs.  She's excited to get working with Freckles and take him to the San Angelo Stock Show.

Lainey did make the sale with her Grand Champion Photograph.  She was a little nervous about getting in the ring infront of all those people and the auctioneer but she was so pleased after her picture sold!!! 

Good Job Lainey and Emiley.  So proud of YOU!!!

 

(Lainey also entered 3 other photographes that placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd in their catagories.  She did a frame with rosettes that placed 3rd and modge podged and twine wrapped vases that got 4th.)

 My dad and Dee and my brother, Gina, Whitney and Garrett and Mi-ma all come to our house last weeken for another little family Christmas.  We were so excited to have company.  We kept it simple and served taco soup, beans, chips and dips and other little goodies.  These cousins sure LOVE being together!
