Cozumel...

Our stop at Cozumel was AWESOME but I dont have alot of photos to prove it because we spent most of our time in the water snorkeling.  It was an overcast day which meant it wasnt too hot. I will add that right when we got off the ship the people who were waiting for us to take our pictures with them called Abbey "Barbie."
We stopped off at Three Amigos to take a few photos but the sun was in their eyes and we never got a good photo!  We shopped around Cozumel for about an hour then we got in the taxi for our snorkeling expedition.
We snorkeled for 2 hours and saw some amazing sea life such as starfish, sting ray, crabs, and colorful fish.  This was the area we snorkeled from and went almost back to the ship.  We got into waters that were 30-40 feet deep.
When we finished snorkeling the girls played in the water and then we enjoyed some great guacamole by on the beach!

Cozumel is such a fun place!  We stayed off the ship until we had to board!  It was beautiful!
The girls did a little dance in a shop where all the products were made of bamboo.  They got a bamboo necklace for their efforts.
It was a great day and snorkeling was probably our favorite thing on our trip!  I wish I had taken an underwater camera.  I will know for next time!

Happy Friday!

Progreso, Mexico...

Our first stop on our cruise was in Progreso, Mexico.  We were so excited to see the clear blue water and fish swimming everywhere even just at the port!
There were some local shops that had goods for us to see and the girls were just amazed.  We had about an hour before we boarded our bus that took us to our beach for the day.
Our bus tour took us through the town of Progreso.  Our tour guide was very informational and gave us so much information about Mexico on our 20 minute drive.  That was a great experience for the girls, too.  Then we arrived at the beach and saw coconut trees.  The girls thought they were really neat!
The beach was gorgeous and was inclusive for just the cruise guest on this excursion.  It was not crowded at all and had kayaks, lounge chairs, and ocean trampolines.  I think we just enjoyed being in the clear water the most!
We also enjoyed an authenic Mexican buffet at the beach. It was delicious!!!
We were not allowed to take any of the shells but Lainey collected shells all day and we took her picture with LOTS of her favorites.
Abbey and Emiley were brave and took their picture with this iguana!  It was HUGE and actually pretty creepy cool looking.
Will and I had a good time just lounging!  I could have stayed their the entire trip.  It was breath-taking.
I would definately recommend this little beach-getaway.  It was perfect for a little stop in Progreso, Mexico!!

All Aboard...

Here's a little post about the ship!  We were on the ship from Saturday to Thursday.  We didnt have any trouble at all and would FOR SURE do it again!  It was beautiful looking off the ship into the crystal blue water.  That was one of Lainey's favorite things to do!
The ship was so big.  I really had no idea what to expect.  This is just a small look at the atrim overlooking a few interior floors.  We slept on the 7th floor, ate on the 8th floor, and swam and snacked on the 10th deck.  We enjoyed all the entertainment on the 8th and 9th floors.
The days that we were on the ship sailing to our destinations we spent all of our time in the pool!
We were lucky and got a room with a view.  We went to bed and woke up looking at the ocean.
Here is a view of the pool deck were we hung out most of the time!  There was also another pool and hot tub deck, but this was our favorite spot because of the slide!
We also spent LOTS of time just lounging in our chairs in the sun on the boat!  It was AMAZING!

FRIDAY!....

I LOVE Friday. Don't you?  This week was beyond fabulous!  We just returned from our cruise to Cozumel and Pregreso, Mexico.  We had very good, relaxing time and saw some beautiful country.  On with the 5 on Friday with Darci.

1.  I just love my little family.  This is US on the "fancy" night on the ship.  The girls had such a wonderful time.

 2.  Snorkeling in Cozumel!  OMG is all I can say.  We saw a couple of sting rags, a starfish, crab, and LOTS of fish in the most amazing colors.  After we finished Lainey spent some time finding the BEST shells.
 3. Relaxation!  It is NOT over-rated.  We had lots of time in the sun doing nothing at all!
 4. Manners.  We are pretty strict about the girls having good manners.  The dinner every night on the ship helped reinforce this.  Except for when the asked the girls to swing their naps and dance after dessert!  I was so proud of the girls confidence in ordering their dinner, knowing which piece of silverware to use and just good 'ole simple etiquette.
 5. New Orleans.  We got on our ship in New Orleans.  Its a city so rich in culture and their architecture is so different than we are use to.  It was fun to drive through the French Quarter and then think about the devastation they have seen with hurricane Katrina.  I would love to go back and spend more time there someday.
Happy Weekend!  More vacay photos to come!

It's Friday!...

YAY! It's Friday again! I'm linking up with Darci for her 5 on Friday Blog! Here are a lists of things I am LOVING right now!

1.  Chalkboards.  Who doesnt love chalkboards right now?!?!  (This picture was right when I downloaded it! BLOGGER!!!)  I have recently chalkboard painted my old dishwasher and an old mirror.  My sister-in-lay gave my girls these cute cookie sheets chalkboard painted, too and I put it on a stand... LOVE!
2. SWIMMING and the SUN!  We love spending every hour swimming with friends and in the sun!  Its been our favorite summer activity since the girls were babies.
3.  Messy Bun.  I am just discovery this!  This messy bun/up-do may be my summer go-to ALL.SUMMER.LONG!  So far this summer it has been so humid it is not worth spending time fixing my hair!  This is easy and my girls even told me I looked "okay!"  I'll take it as a compliment these days!
4.  Hanner Fam.  Pray for this sweet blog family!  They are ACU alum and sweet as can be.  Hunter, daddy, hubs, hard-worker of the fam, recently had a bone marrow transplant to heal him from his childhood blood disorder and is going on third month in the hospital.  The are in Houston and living away from their 3 sweet boys.  They are asking for type A+ blood donations in his name!  You can read more at www.hannerfam.blogspot.com
5. CRUISE!  We are going Cruisin'... and we cant wait!  I am headed out with the hubs and girls for some swimming, sunning and snorkeling!  Should be a trip to remember!

RED...

Memorial Day weekend, Lainey and I headed to Dallas to see RED!  Taylor Swift put on an amazing concert!  We were lucky enough to take a few photos with Lainey's good friend, Erica, before the concert!
It was an amazing show with 55,000 excited fans in attendance!  Lainey was beyond excited, too!!
 We were seeing RED!!!
All little girls and mommas, alike, just LOVE Taylor.  These tickets were Lainey's Christmas present so she had been waiting for this night for months!  Taylor did not disappoint!

And the added bonus was seeing Ed Sheeron!  He is so good!  We love his songs, too!
It was a great Mommy/Daughter trip!  One we will never forget!

It's FRIDAY!!!

Yes, I'm behind on blogging again... Hopefully now that school is out I can get all caught up and STAY THAT WAY!  I've decided to link up with Darci today and share "5 on Friday!"  This is just a good way for me to catch up a bit!.

1.  Our sweet dog, Jack of 14 years passed away this weekend.  It was such a sad day and still so sad to walk up to the porch and see him there.  Will and I had Jack before we had any kids.
 2.  We are ready for SUMMER and SWIMMING!  The girls and I love being in the sun and water.  This weekend they got to swim with the cousins at the country club and we cant wait for many more days in the sun.
 3.  Last night was 8th grade promotion.  Abbey was chosen as a 7th grade usher.  She LOVES her 8th grade friends SOOOO Much and is really going to miss them as they venture over to high school.  Abbey Grace had to photo bomb their picture.  She makes me smile.
 4.  Oh, just me and hubs on his birthday last weekend.  We had little time to waste before our niece and nephews graduation party so we went our for a drink, wings, and queso!
 5.  Emiley and her 4th grade class went to the state capital a few weeks ago.  We were lucky enough to get to speak with and have a photo op with our Representative!  What a neat experience for these kids to see the Senate and House in session and visit with a man making decisions for our small town.
HAPPY WEEKEND!
