Our Newest Bulldog Cheerleader...

My girls have always dreamed of being cheerleaders.  But sometimes Lainey lets her nerves get the best of her!

This was almost the case when trying out for Junior High Cheerleader but she DID IT and MADE IT!  I was so very proud of her.  She did amazing.  She worked so hard on learning a cheer, chant, dance and entrance for judges and student body tryouts and conquered some fears she had of stage fright.

Her best buddy Abby made the squad too.

I LOVE her group of friends.  They call themselves the "SIXLETS!"  They are the cutest.

Lainey's cheer camp fell on her 13th birthday and her squad had a few surprises up their sleeves.  They got her with silly sting that morning and gave her a bag of goodies that were all her favorites.  She felt so loved!

Then her 13th birthday was topped off when she was named an All-American Cheerleader.  What an accomplishment for this shy girl who has come so far.

I am so proud of you, Lainey Beth!

Sweet Little Ears...

Emiley is the only one of my girls that has pressed the issue of getting her ears pierced.&nbs

Will didn't really want to say "YES" to the idea, but after Emiley begged and begged he couldn't keep saying no.

So we loaded up for a girl day and took the brave "baby sister" out to get her ears pierced.

I think the big sisters were more nervous for her than she was.

Emiley was so excited and proud of her earrings... JUST THE WAY IT SHOULD BE!  I love this baby of mine!

She brings so many smiles to our lives!

3.THREE.Months...

Yes, I know it's been three months since I posted!  I still LOVE my dear 'old spot on cyperspace, but my almost 15, 13 and 12 year girls have made my crazy busy life even busier.

I've also had computer issues.  Somedays I get on the old laptop and it says I have no pictures on file.  Other days I get on it and WOW, they are all there!  It's a crazy piece of machinery. Really, I want to call it a bad word!  Not to mention we didn't have internet for a few weeks in there and had to get another box or whatever its called to keep us connected to the outside world.  I thought Abbey Grace was going to die without Wi-Fi!  That's all fixed now and we are moving real fast on our Iphones now so we have some happy teens at home.

Well, since the long three months have pasted I have a Varsity Cheerleader and a Junior High Cheerleader.  Abbey made the squad for high school next year and Lainey will be a 7th grade cheerleader next year.  They have both attended cheer camp and both squads did AMAZING.  Lainey was chosen as an All-American so I'm thinking I will be taking her to the Thanksgiving Day parade in Houston like I did with Abbey a few years ago!

Emiley has taken up golf and piano.  She recently went to golf camp with her best buddy Morgan and played GREAT.  She also takes piano lessons once a week from a sweet lady in town.  I am so proud of her musical interest and ability.  She also plays the flute in the band.  She will be in Junior High next year which makes this momma heart a little sad seeing all my girls out of elementary school and into junior high and high school.

Abbey and Lainey went to Pine Springs Camp for a week in the mountains for New Mexico.  They LOVED it and met many other Christian friends.  Its been their best week of summer so far.  They are already counting down the days for next year.  They are thankful for snapchat, instagram and texting so they can keep up in between now and the next 350 days when they meet again next summer.

We just got home from a quick  but relaxing family vacation to the Wild Oak Ranch Resort.  We stayed in our swimsuits for 3 straight days and floated the lazy river and tried to surf and ate yummy food.  It was just the relaxation we needed.

Right now I cant get pictures to download (POO!) but I'm going to keep trying and maybe try from my phone!  I have so much to catch up on like Emiley getting her ear's pierced, pictures of cheer tryouts for both girls, Abbey's 8th grade promotion, house projects, the Titanic, band concert, my 20th high school reunion, random summer fun, Lainey's 13th birthday, my summer road trip, and so much more!

Until then...

Celebrate...

On Easter Sunday, we celebrated the resurrection on our Lord and we also celebrated Emiley's decision to give her live to Jesus.  She is now not only my special little girl but also my sister in Christ.  I am so proud of her.  She is so special.  She has been talking to me and her daddy about being baptized and knew she wanted to do it on Easter!
Emiley wanted to be baptized in the tank like Abbey.  Our tank was dry but luckily our neighbor's tank was ready.  It was a beautiful day and many people for our church and her friends were able to come for her special day!
We LOVE you, Emiley and are so proud of the decision you have made!  God is Good!

Welcome April...

Well, yes we are already welcoming in another month into this crazy year of 2014.  I didn't do a very good job of documenting the month of March so let me just give a 1-20 countdown of the things going on in the Hale House!
1.  Abbey is deep into track season.  Actually, Saturday is her district meet and then track season is over.  She has been going back and forth between running the 100 and 300 hurdles.  She is on the 100 and 800 relays.  She also does the triple jump and long jump.
 2.  Abbey has had some back/hip pain/troubles this track season.  We have had many trips to the chiropractor and it has seemed to help.  Her right hip is tilting back and causing some discomfort probably due to all the jumping.  This week has been lots better.  We are thanking God for that and hoping she has a great meet Saturday with little or NO pain!
3.  Emiley and her basketball team have played in many tournaments.  They have taken home 1st place LOTS of times (I am awful about pics these days!)  This is a great feat because they are a 5th grade team often playing 5th-6th grade teams.
4.  Abbey and Emiley have taken the STAAR test like many TX students this week.
5. I have FINALLY started really working out again with my girlfriends.  I am so sore but its a good sore.  I can hardly sit down or bend over to tie kids' shoes at school. OUCH!
6.  Emiley was up to her April's Fools Jokes on Tuesday.  She woke Abbey up to her hand in hot water but it went a little bad when the water spilt in Abbey's bed.  Oooops!
 7.  My good friend, Liz with Liza Jane Photography, wanted to try some photos with a brown headed girl so Lainey got to be her model.  These photos she did turned out gorgeous.  So far I am in LOVE with all of them she has edited.  She is so talented and Lainey is growing up WAY TOO FAST!
8.  Speaking of Lainey, she is trying out of HJH cheerleader in just a few weeks.  WOW!
9.  We are still loving our new dog Deets and added to our new pets with a pretty calico cat named, Ella.
10.  Will is knee deep in taxes and we are ready for April 15!
11.  The bluebonnets are blooming and we are happy to find some in our yard the last week or so! (Pics to come soon! Hopefully!)
12.  We traveled to Lake Conroe on a very fast trip to see Abby and Reid get married.  It was a beautiful, fun wedding!
 13.  Is it sad that this is the only picture I took with Will???
14.  Emiley has decided to be baptized on Easter Day.  We are so excited about her decision to give her life to Jesus!  We cant wait to celebrate with her on this special day!
15.  Abbey and I went to see Divergent with her 5 best friends and their moms.  It was fun evening of dinner and a movie.  Those girls have been big buddies since preschool.  So hard to believe they will be starting high school in the fall.
16.  Abbey will be 15 in August.  Yep, I called about Driver's Education for her last week.
17.  Has anyone had chickens?  I recently picked up some chicken wire from a friend because I really want to try my hand at raising them...
18.  Currently we are also planning Abbey's 8th grade promotion party!  If anyone has any GREAT ideas for an awesome class party, please pass them on!
19.  The thought that the girls will all be in JH and HS next year is making me very sad.  Saying good by to the elementary campus is a bit surreal.  Crazy how fast time flies.
20.  God is good.  We are moving and shaking.  Praising God in the busiest of times.  Thankful for our family, health and times of rest.

Happy Hump Day!

We are in the Pig Business...

Well, for the second year in a row Miss Em had pigs that she raised for the county show and for larger shows in the state.  This year she went to the Fort Worth Stock Show and to San Angelo.  Emiley and Biggems placed 7th out of LOTS of pigs at Fort Worth.  It was SO EXCITING to watch!
Emiley did a great show showing in the Hamp show.  She looked so young and little out their with much more experienced showmen.  I was so very proud of her!  7th was an amazing day!
Then in San Angelo, Emiley and Will got to hang out with Will's best friends from high school and their sons who were also showing.  I didn't get to make the trip because Lainey was in a basketball tournament and Abbey had track.  Emiley and her pig, Dumbo were penned which was awesome but did not end up placing.
Again, I was so proud of her and her hardwork throughout the whole stock show season.  It's not easy!  This is something she really loves!  Good Job, sweet girl!

We Are The Champions!...

Abbey and her 8th grade team won the district Championship in basketball this year!  We were so proud of them and their hard work.  They are all hard workers and in EVERY sport and so far have won district in basketball and cross country.  They made great improvement in volleyball and are headed to do great things again in track again this year.  Its so fun to just WATCH them each do their thing!
I LOVE each of these girls so much!  Most of them have been friends and in school together since preschool.  I cant believe they are now 13 and 14 years old.  They are dedicated and determined.  I cant say enough good things about them as a team.
I am proud to be Abbey's mom.  She rose past a stress fracture and a bit of a crushed self-esteem and has passed through it all.  She has continued to work hard.  She is a leader.  I have cried this year because I cant believe she's headed to high school.  She's growing up so fast!
Congrats on the District Championship!  Hard work pays off!  You girls make an amazing TEAM and are so FUN to watch in every sport and grow up!

Yep, It's True...

Yep, It's true... I let the whole month of February go by without ONE SINGLE BLOG POST!  That has NEVER happened since I started blogging many years ago.

Life has moved on and been crazy busy as always.    And Yep, it's true I hit some roadblocks in life.  I will just admit it... Even though it's hard.

I have been stressed and full of worry and anxiety.  I think the end of January it finally caught up with me physically, mentally and emotionally.  I am now on some medication and taking care of ME.  That's so hard to say, but after a trip to the doctor after some very scary situations I am saying it.  I have shared it with only a few who are struggling, too.

I think sometimes mommies need to be honest when things are tough, stressful, especially when they may be an anxious type like me.  I am feeling better.  I am learning to rest.  But let me just say, it doesn't make you weak or less of a great person if you need medication for some anxiety at certain points in life.  Our family has had some hard events the last few months.  We had a foster child for 9 months and he was leaving our home.  I was dealing with the stress of that and so many emotions and the everyday busy-ness of work, my own children, I was just overwhelmed.  I took it all and kept it inside.

I have so much to catch you all up on!  Basketball, the beginning of track, I did a 10K with a great friend, the girls and I went to ACU Sing Song...

I am so blessed and GOD is so GOOD!  Sorry its been so long.

It feels so good to be back!

Sometimes I Wonder...

Sometimes I wonder I become so blesses to be the mommy of these amazing girls...

Other times I wonder how these three amazing girls come up the things they do such as licking their plates and cups at dinner time so their sisters won't steal their cups or "spot" at the dinner table.

Or how they can lose 5 hairbrushes in a matter of days!  I bought one for each of them and one for me and an extra.  Sometimes NOT.A.ONE can be found!

Sometimes I wonder how I can find them cuddled up on the couch together one minute and then punching the heck out of each other the next.

Or how they can run to lock each other out of their rooms or bathroom and be as loud a crazy as boys.

Sometimes I wonder how they can smell as bad as little boys, too!

Sometimes I wonder WHEN WILL THEY EVER hit the stage of wanting to share clothes!  Right now they do not/ and will not let each other near their things.  I think it will come or have always heard that's what sisters do.

Sometimes I wonder how they learned to shovel pig poop, rabbit poop, haul horse feed, break the ice in the water trough and still look adorable doing it... Guess that means they have a little of me and their daddy.

Or how they can be tough as nails and so tender all at the same time.

Sometimes I wonder at what age do their learn to hang up their bath towel or get their jeans out of the bathroom floor.

Or I hope that they never quit begging for goodnight kisses.

Sometimes I wonder how raising these three girls could get any more fun or rewarding and then we have another day...

God is good and they are blast... even when they lick the dinner plates.

Happy Monday.

Locks Of Love...

Emiley Morgan donated her hair for the second time in her short 11 year life to Locks of Love.  This time our hairdresser divided her thick head of hair into 4- 10 inch ponytails.  Emiley has beautiful thick hair and I am so proud of her and her donation.

Let's Recap Christmas. Shall We?...

I really, really, really enjoyed Christmas this year.  LIKE, I did NOT want it end.  Our first family Christmas was spent in New Braunfels again at a sweet bed and breakfast with my brother's family and my mom and Jim.
We stayed in this house last year and it is just PERFECT.  There is room for all of us, it is decorated for Christmas and it is adorable.  We ate, played games, watched some movies, visited and just relaxed!
The girls and Whitney get the pink room all to themselves.  What great memories they are making!
We did venture out Saturday afternoon to the large trampolines.  The kids spent an hour getting tired and hungry.  It was a really neat place.  The kids had been there before with the grandparents and requested that they take them back.  :)
Then it was home for family Christmas time.  I LOVE it that my teenage daughter requested Disney princess movies for Christmas.  Still so innocent.
We still love making cookies for Santa...
And waiting for him to leave those few special goodies... This year I think it was PIG BOOTS or rainboots which ever way you want to look at it!
Emiley had asked for a Bible and Santa delivered.
The weekend after Christmas my brother returned for a Christmas with my dad and Dee.  We got a little Redneck and burned some brush.
It was another fun, relaxing Christmas spent with family!
... and these crazy girls did NOT want to give me a good picture.  Oh My, they are growing up!

**I've started a new blog with some of my good girl buddies.  It's sure to be funny, full of stories, maybe have some helpful hints, recipes, and other things to brighten your day.

Here Piggy Piggy...

My baby girl LOVES pigs.  So for the second year in a row we she is showing pigs!  SHE LOVES it!  We are slowing learning what we are doing and its been FUN!  Emiley has two pigs this year and she just showed them both in the county show.  She washed them on my front porch... Yes, you read that right!  They then had to clip their hair in my sunroom... Yep, you read that right, too!
A few days later she had to wash them again before they took them up to the county barns for the show.  This time they washed them in the trailer!
Emiley's pigs are named Dumbo and Biggems.  They are really are pretty cute!
Show day was finally here and Emiley did FANTASTIC.  I was SOOO proud of her.
She has learned a lot since last year.  This takes a lot of work and dedication.  Emiley got first place in her class with Dumbo and got to show for Grand Champion.  She didn't win Grand Champion but I was so proud of her.
Emiley was also one of the last two kids standing for Junior showmanship.  SO Very Proud!  She got third place with Biggems.  Great Job Emiley Morgan.  I am so proud of you and your love for your pigs!  It's so fun watching you do something your LOVE and watching you do it with your daddy!
Emiley got to go the sale Saturday night with Dumbo.  It was a great night for her hardwork.
Emiley also won first place for her salsa.  Lainey had 6 first place photographs this year in the home economics division this year.  Way to work hard girls.  LOVE YOU!
