Little Quiz

I recieved this in an email but I just loved it.

Below are 5 riddles and the answers at the bottom. This is sure to sharpen those genes in your brain and stall Alzheimers for years....

1. A murderer is condemned to death. He has to choose between three rooms. The first is full of raging fires, the second is full of assassins with loaded guns, and the third is full of lions that haven't eaten in 3 years. Which room is safest for him?

2. A woman shoots her husband. Then she holds him under water for over 5 minutes. Finally, she hangs him. But 5 minutes later they both go out together and enjoy a wonderful dinner together. How can this be?

3 What is black when you buy it, red when you use it, and gray when you throw it away ?

4. Can you name three consecutive days without using the words Wednesday, Friday, or Sunday?

5 This is an unusual paragraph. I'm curious as to just how quickly you can find out what is so unusual about it. It looks so ordinary and plain that you would think nothing was wrong with it. In fact, nothing is wrong with it! It is highly unusual though. Study it and think about it, but you still may not find anything odd. But if you work at it a bit, you might find out. Try to do so without any coaching!

THE ANSWERS TO ALL FIVE RIDDLES ARE BELOW:

Answers:

1. The third room. Lions that haven't eaten in three years are dead. That one was easy, right?

2. The woman was a photographer. She shot a picture of her husband, developed it, and hung it up to dry (shot; held under water; and hung).

3. Charcoal, as it is used in barbecuing.

4. Sure you can name three consecutive days, yesterday, today, and tomorrow!

5. The letter e, which is the most common letter used in the English language, does not appear even once in the paragraph

Counting Down to Vacation

The past few days we have been planning our vacation. Since money is tight we can't do a whole lot but so far it looks like we are going to go to Holiday World in Santa Claus, In. Sis is really excited and so is Gage. I'm just glad to get some time off to spend with the family.

July 2nd. Randy and I will be married 14 years. It just doesn't seem like it has been that long. On the same day we are leaving for our trip and my dad and his twin brother would have been 64 years old. I miss both of them dearly. I'll take pictures when we go and blog them as soon as I can.

June Photo Challenge

I found this challenge to be a bit difficult because I couldn't get a great shot of the moon. It always looked like a spotlight but it seriously is the moon. Hope you like it.

Here is a recap of Graham's Guidelines

Guidelines

Just to recap, the guidelines for the challenge are as follows:

1) Take a photograph that in some way, manner or form represents the theme of "The Moon" or "Moonlight". You are welcome to use your artistic touch to manipulate the photograph using a photopackage such as photoshop. Be as creative as you desire!!!

2) Include a brief explanation of how the photograph(s) relate to the theme. The photograph doesn't need to be outside, it can be of somebody or of something around the home.... it just needs to represent the theme of the month.

3) When you have posted your challenge, be sure to send me a link so that I can include it on my "June Challenge Entry" post at the end of the month!

4) You want to join in with the challenge but don't have a blog or website to display your photograph on? No problem, just email me copy of the image, along with your name and a brief description of how the photograph(s) relate to the theme. I will then include your entry on my "June Challenge Entry" post at the end of the month!!!!

My Day with the Kids

After a long work week getting ready for inventory I decided I wasn't going to do any house work and Imoved my counseling appointment to another day so I could just spend my day off with the kids. The night before I set the tent up in the backyard and I cooked Hobos on the grill ( Recipe on my other blog Rusin Recipe Roundup). We spent some time with Randy and when he went to bed the kids & I camped out in the backyard. I let them roast marshmallows on the grill and we fixed S'mores. We then went to bed and the next morning we ate breakfast and ran a couple of errands then I took the kids fishing and swimming at Fowler Park.

We had loads of fun and Gage caught 2 fish, sis played on the playground, we ate lunch and went swimming.

Then went home for supper and just chilled out for the rest of the evening.
I even got one heck of a sunburn on my back.

Slowly getting better

I just wanted to let everyone know that I am doing loads better now I'm trying to get caught up on housework. I'm on new meds and they are working great and counseling is doing great also. I'm slowing trying to catch up on everyone and I wanted to let everyone know that I think of all of you all the time but between housework and work ( getting ready for inventory) I have been exhausted and I tend to get real busy in the summertime. I will post as I can and hopefully I get things done. I love all of you. Thanks for all of the prayers.

I have also been trying to help out a fellow co-worker who lost his home and his belongings in the flood here. I got everyone in the house to look for clothing they don't want to give to them.

Here are some pics of my son's old school slowly getting flooded.
