Meet Dan and Jess. They are highschool sweethearts from Maine and are in the same "MARRIED" club as we are. Our club may hold few members (married students from Albany Med are practically nonexistent) but don't be fooled by the small numbers - we know how to PARTY! Dan and Hamish trade dissection methods while Jess and Ellen discuss the latest knitting and felting techniques.

PS-Dewey gets totally FREAKY with Dan and Jess. He loves them!

We had a smurfy time in New York. We smurfed across the Williamsburg bridged, smurfed tikka masala at a colorful Indian restaurant, and when we came across organic chocolate chip cookies - we smurfed them down. Our weekend was simply smurftacular. And we would like to send a big smurfafication to Jared for letting us crash at his place!

8th GRADE STUDENT: Mrs. Greenaway, have you seen The Breakfast Club?
ME: Yes. Have YOU?
8th GS: Yeah, like, its totally one of my favorite movies. Has anyone ever told you that you look just like Molly Ringwald?
ME: Nooo.
8th GS: Well, you, like, totally look just like her with your hair.
ME: Okay. But I TOTALLY can't believe you've seen that movie. Now hurry or you'll be late to your next class.

THE VERY NEXT PERIOD A SIXTH GRADER ASKED ME THE SAME MOLLY RINGWALD QUESTION,
only HE wanted to know if I had seen 16 CANDLES.........WHAAAA???

I'm so totally at a loss for words. What alternate universe am I living in that 12 year-old boys watch 16 CANDLES and know who Molly Ringwald is?

Fun times raking leaves in the yard. It felt more than a little ridiculous stuffing these "LAWN AND REFUSE BAGS" full of leaves, stacking them in a pile, and then waiting for the city to carry them away...Dewey was so disgusted, he threw up and ate his own vomit.

This is HAL the pumpkin that Hamish and Dan so carefully designed and carved. All those hours in the anatomy lab are really paying off! Sweet Jane is behind that scary scream mask (I believe she was actually a dog for Halloween night). And on the porch is our friend Jess in between the candy passing craze - we went through a whopping 10 pounds of candy.

Overall, there were a lot of cute princesses, spidermans, a few "scary" monsters, and one little race car. However, our favorite trick-or-treater was an 8 year old girl dressed up as JENNIFER LOPEZ. That's right, JLo. Her left hand held the pillow stuffed in the back of her pants in place as she walked away.
