The Playground at Old Settlers After taking our walk at the park, we stopped to play at the playground. This is where Rheesie had the most fun!

The Great Jared will attempt to master the great bending tube slide...but will he get stuck?

Yes, he will!

More fun in the tube

Jared got stuck in the tube, and was trying to convince Rhees to help him out. Funniest thing was he actually did get stuck....he wasn't faking.

Jared and Rhees on the jungle gym

A sad goodbye for Rhees. She just didn't want to leave the playground.

Fun at Old Settlers Park

Jared and Rhees looking at butterflies at the park

A butterfly we saw along our walk.

Jared and Rheesie checking out the weird "fruit" growing on the trees.

We're not quite sure what kind of trees these are and what those balls are growing on them, but they sure make nice decorations.

Jared and Rheesie walking along underneath the trees. That is a bowery for group gatherings in the background.

I had to add this picture because Jared was so excited when he took it. This is a spider that was underneath the bridge we walked over, Jared thought it was pretty neat, It just makes my skin crawl!

This picture was taken while Jared was down below by the river.

Rheesie's Art Holster

When it comes to Rhees and artwork, it's serious business. She has even taken up to using her booster seat straps as a holster to keep those crayons in place so she always ready with the right color.

More Artwork

Here's Rheesie using her other favorite medium....crayons. Look at the shere concentration on that cute little face.

The Great Artist at Work

Rheesie loves to paint, not only paper, but her own face. All the creativity made her famished however, so she took a break to eat her oatmeal.

Jenny decided to have fun with her and Rheesies hair one night, by putting it in a lot of twists. For the first time ever, Rhees sat completely still and allowed Jenny to put her entire head in twists.

Snuggles with Daddy

Even though she has become Ms. Independent, Rhees cannot resist snuggling with daddy every once in a while.

Rhees Walking her "Dog"

Rhees has taken to wrapping belts, strings, ribbons, etc. around her stuffed animals and taking them for walks. She has become particularly fond of this stuffed lamb. She is quite the animal caretaker! She gives them food, water and loves. It's so fun to watch her interact with them.

Hey ya'll! We hope you've enjoyed our blog spot so far. It's been fun for us to think of things that you might enjoy seeing. It makes us feel as if you are not so far away and that we are sharing our daily lives with you...especially that of Rhees growing up. We will be sending some videos soon so you can share in her antics. You can also feel free to comment on any of these posts if you wish, just click on the comment tab right below the post. Ms. Independent

Rhees has already become so independent she insists on getting herself dressed. This is what happened when she tried to put on one of my t-shirts. In case you can't tell, she has put her body through one of the sleeves of the shirt.

This morning she also tried to change her own diaper, when she couldn't reach a fresh one, she tried to put the dirty one back on. I discovered her in her room when she started yelling, "mommy help, help" when I got to her room, she was sitting on the dirty diaper trying to strap it on. I didn't get a picture, but that memory was priceless!

Rheesie's Favorite past-time

Here is Rhees doing what she loves best. She loves to color, paint, color, draw, and color.

Pedicures with Daddy!

Jared's dream come true! He's been waiting patiently from the day Rhees was born for his toenails to be painted by his little girl! Does she have him wrapped around her little finger or what!
