Oh, those summer months!

Well time has certainly flown by these past few months. The girls continue getting bigger everyday, and life seems to just keep rolling by way to fast. Over the summer we were able to do a lot of weekend camping trips up to Mt. Graham (I love living close to the mountains again!) which both girls loved. I have a feeling we are going to get to know those mountains very well while we are here in Arizona! I posted pics of the mountain landscape on my personal pic blog.

As for other things, Rhees has started gymnastics. She loves it so far, and cries when we pick her up each week. She's been pretty dedicated to it so far, and loves to "practice" every chance she gets. Jared and I are amazed at how quickly she's taken to the sport, and she seems to improve every day. Ainslee is standing on her own, and tries to take little steps, but instead tends to hop and fall instead. She's become quite the copy cat, and loves to repeat every noise she hears. She especially loves to howl like a coyote, fake sneeze, and clear her throat. It's actually quite funny!

Anywho, hope you enjoy our pics from our summer adventures!

Fun in the Arizona Sun

Well summer is here in Arizona, and we are having a lot of fun outside. We got a pool for the girls to swim in, which they both LOVE! We also were able to have Holley stay with us and she and Rhees loved having the pool also. It's been so nice to have a yard for the girls to play in, and also to be so close to nature and the mountains again. We are all doing well. Rhees is growing like a weed and has a new hilarious comment to say each day. The Larsen sarcasm runs deep in her veins, and she cracks us up all the time. Ainslee is getting so big way to fast! She is already sitting up by herself, rolling over all over the place, and army crawling. No room or toy left on the floor is safe. Rhees is learning very quickly not to leave toys on the floor, or they become Ainslee's next entree. Jay and I are just in awe at how amazingly blessed we are to have these two fun and beautiful little girls! Jay is staying busy with work and his calling, and I am loving my photography course. We love you all and hope everyone is doing well! Here are some fun pics from over the past month or so.

Waiting while mommy takes pictures. I love the look Ainslee is giving Jared!

Again, Waiting for mommy

MMMM! That's good eating!

Look at me mommy! I'm a big girl!

Peek-A-Boo! Rhees is Ainslee's idol! So far, Rhees is the only one that can make Ainslee laugh, and she loves playing with her. It's so fun to see them growing and becoming friends!

Fun with Holley in the pool

Splash!

After they had finished swimming, the two girls laid down to watch a movie. Within a matter of minutes they were both asleep. Either it was a very boring movie, or they played very hard!
Ainslee with daddy in the pool...that sun was bright, poor Ainslee couldn't open her eyes!

Big Muscles!
After exercising with mommy each day, Rhees decided that I needed to take a picture of her muscles. I was setting up the camera on my tripod to get ready to take some other pics, and she immediately ran up and posed like that. I had to take a picture! She then told me that she was so healthy and strong!
Ainslee's twin. Ainslee was on our bed playing with this doll when I looked over and saw that she had fallen asleep. The thing that makes me laugh is that the doll is almost as big as Ainslee is.
Up at Frye Mesa Dam
We took a trip up to Frye Mesa Dam a couple of weeks ago, and went for a little hike. There is not maintained road or trail, so we went as far as we could before the cactus, mesquites, and other pokey bushes got to thick over the trail. I was a little worried about how well Rhees would be able to "hike" but she did great and loved it!

No cement barricade too high.......
I, Rhees, solemnly swear, NOT to jump in the water
Hiking around the lake
I like this "hiking" stuff, I get to relax and enjoy the view, while daddy does all the work.

Changes

Hey friends and family! Well....here we are almost a year after my last post, and things in the Hancock family have changed dramatically! We never thought we'd leave our home and friends in Texas, but due to a "drought" of cars needing repairs....Jared needed to find a job elsewhere. So, with me being 9 months pregnant and unsure of what we were going to do, Jared was blessed to receive an amazing job offer at Reynold's Tire and Auto in Safford, Arizona. So, in a matter of a couple of weeks, we packed up our things, said goodbye to our friends and family in Texas, and made the move. 3 weeks after the move, Ainslee Elizabeth Hancock joined our family. Although we have missed our home in Texas, we are starting to find our niche here in Arizona. Jared has been steadily busy at work, and I have been able to stay at home with our two beautiful girls.

One of the nicest parts of the move is that we are now close to Rhees' cousins, Holley and Brinley. We have enjoyed being so close to Derek and Tara, and having Rhees and Holley be able to play together more than once or twice a year.

As for the ward....I don't think any ward can compare to the Taylor ward we left behind...but, we are finding our niche there also. Jared is happy to be back in the Young Men's, only now as the 2nd Counselor and Scoutmaster. He has already gone on a campout with the deacons, and is quickly learning that there are a lot of differences between a Deacon and a Priest....but he is really loving to get to know these boys and is having a lot of fun! As for me, I am enjoying being able to attend relief society again (When Ainslee allows it) and am serving on the enrichment committee. Rhees has started to attend Primary, and loves it! She's so excited to come home on Sundays and tell us all about everything she's learned.

We are blessed, happy, and enjoying our new life here in Arizona. Here are a few recent pics of our family! Enjoy!

Fun Pics

Here are some fun pics that I took of the girls....I was just having fun with the camera.

Rhees' "pets"

Living out in the desert where we do, we are constantly getting so many different animals in our back yard. Jay and I decided to take advantage of this by putting out some bird seed for all the different species of birds that are migrating at this time. Each morning, afternoon, and evening we have our own private bird show. Rhees loves all the animals, and thinks they are her own very special pets.

My outdoor gals

Much to our joy, we have 2 very outdoor gals. It's been nice to be living in a place where we have been able to spend almost every day outside, exploring the yard and just enjoying the sun. Rhees loves playing in the dirt and with the rocks, and Ainslee at this point just loves being outside. As soon as we walk out the front door with her, she constant smiles. We were blessed to be able to rent a home with such a great back patio, so we are doing all our crafts and cooking most our meals out there.

Best Friends

Rhees has recently discovered the joys of being a big sister! She loves to play and entertain Ainslee....and Ainslee eats it up! Anytime she hears Rhees' voice, or sees Rhees, she squeals and squaks until Rhees pays attention to her. Rhees hates to hear Ainslee cry, so anytime Ainslee starts fussing...Rhees will run up to hear and "help her stop crying" by singing to her or playing with her. Here are a few pics of our gals playing together.
