Good grief! Today starts a very full weekend for the Holmes family! First, It's Darrins Birthday tomorrow! We will be celebrating with him at Dreamland tonight! He loves that place! I know we will enjoy it! Then tomorrow we have a wedding to attend all the way in Ashland (some 2 hours away!) So we probably won't get back until late Sat. pm. Then Sunday is very busy! We have church, then home to cook some things and pack the car for an evening Freedom Party at the McFarland's farm! It's going to alot of fun! But as much as I am looking forward to all of it; I am a bit overwhelmed at all that must be done! Maybe I just need to sit back and enjoy each moment and not fret about all that is coming ahead! We shall see!

I Love my Life
Something happened after I turned the dreaded 41; I don't know how to put it in words, but there seems to be an urgency in my soul to let go of the "petty" and focus on eternity. Investing in my family, choosing friends who love me for who I am, faults and all, avoiding needless conflicts just to name a few.
Our Church has a Mission Statement that simply says "Loving Jesus, Loving People, Serving the World"; That's what I want for my life! To always be about loving Jesus, People and serving the world! So what about you?
I spent Friday and Saturday with some really neat ladies! I attended the Scrap Etc. "Crop in the City"! It was GREAT! It felt really good to just sit and create! The greatest part of being there was spending time with ladies who like me, can't simply sit and do nothing. When you are made in the image of God, you have His Creativity in your soul and it just seems natural to let it out. Scrap Etc. has a great design team, most of who were there this weekend. I have learned alot about "thinking outside the box" from some of them! I had a blast and can't wait til the next one!
Well, I am off to study James Chapter 3 some more...Can't wait til Bible Study next Monday pm!
