holy cow, has it really been 4 months since my last post??

So wow! I can not believe how fast time goes by. Vance is about to turn 1!! My baby is growing up on me. He says little words, like "Yes, Momma, Dadda, ruff ruff, doggy, and cheese" so cute! He will pick up his play phone, put it to his ear and say "hi Dad".

Plus the boy already has 16 teeth, what the?? Yup, 16 teeth. He's ready to eat steak I guess.

So in the last couple months, I got a promotion at work and now Vance is going to a day care. Its a in-home day care and he LOVES it there. They have taught him so much. He uses sign language now and is so close to walking. He takes great naps and loves to give kisses!

7 months old already?????? I can't believe how time flys. My little baby is growing up on me. He can now sit up for a very long time and just talks up a storm. Some times I think he is trying to tell me what he did at his aunts house or what dream he just had. He just keeps me laughing!!

So I was feeding him dinner last night and BOOM 2 more teeth are in his mouth??? Where the heck did they come from? So now he has 8 teeth (most still growing in, but cut).

For the love of .......

How many times can one kid spit up in an hour?? I've gone through 2 shirts and a bra already this morning. Come on!!!

So getting 4 teeth all at once is NOT fun. Poor little guy has good days and bad days. He now will not take a pacifier at all. He just spits it out or chews on it. I'm kinda glad he doesn't want to take it because of the whole pacifier seperation anxiety thing people go through. But now its harder to get him to go back to sleep in the middle of the night. I got down to nursing once at bedtime and once in the morning, now that I am working again. But for the last couple days he has been rejecting it. That makes me SOOOO sad. He just loves his bottles now. The bottle nipple has these bumps on them to help sooth gums, he just wants to suck on those. Mark is happy about it because its easier on him to put him to bed when I am at work.

So I realized all I talk about on my blog is Vance, which is fine, but I should talk about other things to. So I got a new job, I started it about 2 weeks ago, I guess thats why I am behind on my blogging. I am the Assistant Department Head for the LifeCafe inside LifeTime Fitness. (sound important right?) I basiclly get to make smoothies, wraps and tell a bunch of 16yr olds what to do, easy money!! No, its really fun, I like the fun atmosphere and I get a free gym membership (just need to use it). Its fun and I get to do what I love, serve others and make them happy. There is never a dull moment there. (and the eye candy ain't bad either!! :) hehe!!)

So tell me, has anyone else lost there memory?? I can not remember @*&% for the life of me. I am forgetting EVERYTHING. I used to have a great memory. Now, I can't remember why I went into the other room, what I ran back into the house for, to iron those pants that have been hanging in the door way for 3 days, to feed the dogs in the morning, or what I did 5 min. ago. I just stand there and think real hard, and still nothing comes to me??? I also started feeling a little bit of vertigo after I had Vance. I will be walking and then all of a sudden I feel like I am spinning and walking sideways and I end up sitting on the ground holding on to something so I don't fall down. Weird?? I only happens like once a week. I think the two are related, I think I am going to go see a doctor about it, its really annoying me. I suffer from migraines and I was reading that vertigo and memory loss could be related to a migraine attack, you have all the symptoms of a migraine but no pain. Huh??

Here is my pride and joy, he pretty much is smiling like this all day. I need to try and capture the teeth on top, so cute! He is getting some hair! I think he is going to be bald for some time to come.

Rolls, Rolls, and more rolls!

Vance has officially learned how to roll over! Ya!!!! On Sunday I was just playing with him and I set him down for a minute looked away and looked back and he was on his tummy!! and he hasn't stopped since. Today he has been rolling around, its so cute to watch him.

He loves his food, I started to give him a taste of baby food in his cereal a few weeks back and now I am giving him the food by its self. His little rolls are getting bigger!! Mark found a tickle spot on his inner thigh, he giggles every time!

I'm glad the holidays are over, I have been eating like a pig and now I look like one. So there are the more rolls! Ha, I am making an effort to eat better and start exercising more. I was doing good for a while there, but the dang holidays creeped up on me. I CAN DO IT!!!!

Good Bye 2008 - Hello 2009!!

I can not believe it is 2009! When I was 10, I thought for sure we would all be traveling on hovercrafts and everyone would have a robot in their house by this year.

Well, 2008 has defiantly been a life changing year for me. Becoming a mother has been awesome and challenging at times. 2009 is the last year of my 20's, so I better make the best of it.

Vance got sick for the first time this weekend. He had a fever on Saturday and Sunday morning, now the poor little guy can't breath out of his little nose. I am sure he is tired of getting his little nose sucked out. It's just so sad when he cries and looks up at me with his sad eyes like he is crying for me to make him feel better. So sad.

We had a good Christmas. We went to Mark's mom's on Christmas eve for lunch and had a good time. The best part was when the tree fell over!!

My little sister Heather and her husband Kyle came down from Utah, it was lots of fun to see her and hang out with her. Vance got a lot of cute stuff from his Aunt's and Uncle's. Heather made him a cute blanket, its fuzzy on one side and silky on the other. Julie and James bought him an exersaucer, he loves it! Mark's sister Lisa got him the cutest thing:

Vance Guinn meet Pen Guinn!! He lit up with excitement when he got this! It has keep him company while he has been sick. All I have to do is show him the penguin and he smiles! Love it! Thanks Lisa.

He also got some really cute outfits that I can't wait to put him in.

So Vance is now 5 1/2 months old, he has two teeth already and loves to eat his rice cereal. He is about 16 pounds and developing plenty of roles. He plays more on his belly and tries so hard to roll over. He can grab his toes and put them in his mouth. His laugh is getting more high pitched and he LOVES his daddy. He laughs the most around his daddy and will cry when he leaves the room. He loves to sit in the bathroom in the morning and watch Mark get ready. Its so cute. Vance is just a happy baby and we love him so much. Can't wait to watch him grow up even more this next year. Here a few cute pictures from the past month.

Crime Scene Investigation

Has there been a crime? or simple prank? I gathered my evidence and analyzed the photos, the conclusion: MY NEIGHBORS ARE CRAZY!!! Hahah! So, my neighbors had a tiny little mouse on their front porch that expired a couple days ago and I noticed he was still there yesterday. I thought it would be funny to make a little head stone, seeing how this is his apparent resting place. Well, they came home and found his head stone, knowing it came from me, they decided to place him on my front porch, YUK! So I now have "Mighty Mouse" on my porch. Poor little guy! Let's just hope they come get him or who knows where he might end up???????
